After 12 years away from Marine Fish keeping I started again in September. I contacted this shop asking for advice as I was starting up and they could not be more helpful. Ally and Julie are very knowledgeable and have helped me choose my fish wisely to have a nice peaceful tank. This is my go to shop for all my fishkeeping needs and is always a pleasant experience. Great shop!

I used to come to Paisley Road West as a kid and visit the 4 shops M&R, Waterworld, Aquriam Design (which has sadly closed down) and Coral Reef. The one time I bought fish from Coral Reef, it killed most of my existing fish with white spot. I never went in again. Almost 20 years on I thought I would have a look again thinking it may have changed management or the problem has been rectified. No such luck. There was tanks full of fish riddled with white spot and they were been sold (Mollies, Neon Tetras) on this occassion. I didn't hang around to look further. I can't believe after all this time they still haven't sorted this problem. This place has a lot of tanks and fish to choose from but its spoiled by the poor quality of fish on offer. For accessories, food ect its well priced and Stocked hence the 2 starts but I would advise against buying any fish from this place. (written after company response) The only confusion is why you continue to sell diseased fish. I watched you scoop out riddled mollies and sell them to a customer. Yous have been there for years and have never sorted out the issues with diseased fish. This is clearly ignorance as you must know there are issues. You did have Neons riddled with white spot and even the marine section at the back had a fish with the most horrendous white spot/fungal disease. It stood out. I would say to anyone to walk in that store on any given day and I guarantee you will find tanks with diseased fish. Owners, you can be in denial all you like and make excuses as I've saw from every other reply you have sent to customers. Yous seem to have a problem in accepting responsibility or negative feedback and there has been loads that mention 'white spot'. I mean, It's your business, if you don't want to address the problems then that's your choice. You just lose customers as there are plenty of other shops around that sell healthy, disease free fish.

By far one of the best aquarium shops in Glasgow. A wide selection of cold water, freshwater and marine fish, very friendly staff and extremely reasonable prices. They also stock lots of other things you might need for your fish, ornaments, food etc as well as other pet supplies.

Came in looking for advice for lighting and sourcing macro algae. Staff were super helpful and pointed me in the right direction to get the help i needed.

My tube lights failed and I went to Coral Reef, fantastic local shop. I was sorted out no problem with new led lights. Love it, much nicer light in tank. Friendly staff that know their stuff!

Visited twice now, when I first visited they were reshuffling things and everything was so much more amazing on the second visit. The people working were beyond kind, giving plenty of information and not treating me at all like they needed to move on. Very excited to be getting my tank set up with them soon!

Always great service and top spec products. The staff are very knowledgeable and help work with you to get the ideal fish and shrimp for your current aquarium and let you know what to look for. Plenty great stock and with a recent expansion a great deal more tropical fish that would appeal to all.

Yesterday was our 2nd trip to this place and it will be our last. Got fish last week from here not in my for more than 24hrs and 3 had died. Contacted them and they told us to take the fish back it wasn't as if it was a 10min drive we travelled from dunfermline. My niece however bought fish from here yesterday yet again not in the tank for 24hrs and 2 of hers have died. We have checked our water with the exact same testing kit that they use and both our waters are fine. If you look around they are loads of dead fish in other tanks. The woman being the counter didn't even acknowledge us. May as well chuck your money down a drain than buy fish from here. Replying back to your reply: Reason on why I got dead fish was due to white spot in my tank which I have treated a month ago, yes you did mention the dip stick test and said they weren't any good so we actually bought our own test kit and tested our own water and the only thing it showed was hardness in our water but that always does show as we have hard water here in dunfermline and that doesn't kill fish. As for dead fish being in your tank YES they are and it ain't upto me to be saying to yous that's your job to be checking your tanks, my niece hadn't even left your shop last week and one of the fish were dead in her bag. Also you did mention a water sample before we could introduce more fish to our tank well yous didn't ask for one yesterday in the shop yous were more than happy to sell fish. We gave you the benefit of the doubt last week and our water is fine thats why we came back yesterday but after another 2 dead fish we won't be back

Myself and my daughters have all taken up this hobby myself doing marine my daughters tropical we are in the shop every weekend sometimes twice there are a few of us with kids and we always feel very welcome amazing advice from everyone very helpful cant say enough about these guys we must be a nuisance sometimes lol but never have we been made to feel tht way we will definetly keep shopping here thanks for all your help all wt coral reef 😊

Bought 3 goldfish from here and after introducing them to the rest of my fish, they all got white spot and died. I had the fish before the ones i bought from here for 3 years. Clearly the water they came in was infected!

Probably the best aquarium shop in Glasgow. They have a big selection of cold water, tropical and marine aquatic animals and plants. They have also recently added a section with birds in the adjoining shop. As well as pets, they also sell pet supplies, foods, aquarium, cages, lights and equipment. Staff are knowledgeable and they ask you about what you currently have and your current setup before selling you more animals.

I have been visiting the store and the customer service staff are really friendly. I suffer with a mental health dissability and it's a treat for me to visit the aquarium store. Today I was so shocked about the owner or manager behind the counter. I was having a difficult time with working out the payment. I was short £1 and asked if I could pay the balance of £1 on my card. She said no as it will cost her more . I was told to put something back. I just left and told her she is very rude . She was so hard and incentive. Such a nice store.

Good shop this, always well stocked with animals, marine gear, tanks, plants, frozen and dry food and sundries... staff seem to know what there on about. Picked up a lovely purple Betta Splendins, 6 Torchlight Tetras and two other fish..

The variety of fish, tanks, ornaments ect is amazing, and really good prices, if they don't have what you are looking for, then they will order it in for you. All the staff are so friendly, but the 2 ladies in particular go out of their way to help you, and nothing is ever too much bother.

This is so much more than an an tropical 🎏 or thank shop. Most domestic animals are catered for.
