DO NOT JOIN THIS GP PRACTICE! I am gobsmacked they are still operating a system that started 2 years ago due to covid. It takes 2 weeks for a phone appointment, and another 2 if you're lucky enough to convince the doctor you need to see her. If you try to change to another doctor in the area,it will be difficult because you already have one. SO DO NOT JOIN THIS PRACTICE,IT IS USELESS.

One of the worse practices I’ve experienced in Glasgow. They are unprofessional, rude, from reception staff all the way to the GP. They provided incorrect treatment and advice on numerous occasions. Followed by multiple admin errors and paperwork different to what the advice or agreement was. Instead of apologising they put the phone down on you. Beyond teribile NHS service. Please don’t bother with them if you’re looking for a decent NHS treatment. Gutted people like this work in NHS to “to take care” of us.

Horrible practice. Registered here for about a decade now. Distinct lack of professionalism, empathy and compassion for patients. The receptionist is rude, abrupt and downright cheeky. Now looking at changing practice due the previously mentioned issues combined with long waits for appointments and clerical errors.

Kelvin Medical centre is without doubt the best surgery I've ever attended. The expertise, dedication and care is second to none. Nowhere else in the whole UK has been able to help with my complicated medical needs like they have - they have helped me build my life back. From reception staff to GPs, they all go above and beyond to deliver the best care possible for patients, which is even more impressive considering the extreme strains placed on the NHS everywhere. Having lived all over the UK, from London to Glasgow (and many places inbetween), this surgery surpasses all in terms of waiting time, quality of service, knowledge and expertise. My GP has worked late at night and in her free time at the weekend in order to make sure I have what I need. I've also felt listened to and validated. They should be awarded a medal. I would entrust my closest loved ones with this medical team.

I have been registered with this GP for about two years and had been in touch with receptionists and doctors on multiple occasions. based on my experiences, particularly recent one, I am not satisfied with the receptionists services. Receptionists pretend that they are always busy and give an impression that someonce has phoned stock exchange's market call centre and everything must happen fast and quickly. they talk unclearly, fast and sometime disrepectfully. I have never noticed quality service provided by receptionists. In my opinion they have to enroll for customer service courses and build the proper knowledge how to deal with patients politely and respectfully.

The surgery has gone completely downhill after the pandemic. A complete lack of respect for the patient now seems to be the norm. The doctor calls spontaneously for a telephone appointment without making any prior arrangements. The secretary makes a personal appointment for the patient to see the doctor then tells them on arrival that it was supposed to be a telephone appointment!. Then all she can say is "I am sorry!!". Well your apology isn't good enough for those who have traveled from far. I am 51 years of age man who has been attending this surgery since childhood during the days of Dr Davidson,, Dr Gilmore and even Dr Basil Seltzer at the old Wilson Street practice. Those days the practice was wonderful! Never have i seen the standards drop so low like they are nowadays. Dr Sultana in particular never keeps a personal or telephone appointment even calling the wrong number at times!. A complete lack of professionalism, care and responsibility. In most professions employee's showing such an attitude would be instantly dismissed. I would not even give this practice one star now if the option was provided. Just shut down this useless surgery.

My own personal experience of this surgery was so disappointing. On registering i was greeted with pleasant smiles and information. From then on it was downhill all the way. At least 2 weeks too book an appointment. Unless the very rude arrogant receptionist Miss L deems it an emergency as she was happy too tell me her 15years experience as a receptionist she has the knowledge too know. Funny i thought only medically trained professionals where the ones too make this decision. Appointments ran at least 30mins late without any explanation. Even although there was a notice at the desk too ask for a reason if you are waiting more than 15mins. But disturb the receptionist at your pearl as her snarl n angry manner say it all. Once you finally get too see a GP its more or less a locum but seemed ok The only good thing about this sirgery was the Nurse Jackie very pleasant understanding and patient. Im now glad too say i have changed surgery so going too doc when feeling unwell isnt such a horrible experience

Absolutely avoid this place. It is impossible to make an appointment because no one answers the phone. I have been trying to call for 2 weeks now and the phone is always off... When you go there directly they tell you they are busy and they can not make appointments in person but just on the phone... When they say they are busy they are actually doing nothing, just seating. I need a repetitive prescription and I am skipping it because of this. Obviously, also the website is unavailable since months ago. Absolutely avoid this place. Doctors might be good, but you do not get the chance to see the doctors because no one schedules the appointments

I have been a patient for 6 years and found the service excellent, for example I have managed to see or speak to a GP on same day when necessary, even during the Pandemic. Dr Sultana has gone the extra mile on several occasions and I have found her to be conscientious and straightforward during consultations. The reception staff are efficient, helpful and user friendly. I really appreciate the hard work provided by the whole team. Thank you

I'm not much of a 'reviewer' but I saw some of the review comments and wanted to staunchly stand up for this place. The care provided by all staff here is exceptional, they go above and beyond every time and seeing comments like 'rude' and 'potentially racist' really makes my blood boil. Could not be further from the truth and top to bottom this place is one of the best medical centres I've ever been registered with. Could not recommend more highly.

I've read some of the posts and in my opinion to have four mixed reviews out of the hundreds who have dealings with the surgery then I'm my opinion they're doing not too bad ,in my experience a patient my entire life and OK everyone makes mistakes through a variety of reasons but in My experience it's always been a practice that goes over and beyond for its patients

Shocking service one again. Near impossible to get through, receptionist really couldn’t give a toss about your problem or trying to get it resolved. Really poor attitude. Time to change surgery

Hope people actually read reviews before going or signing to this practice.... Avoid like your life depends on it. DO NOT GO HERE. SOMEONE NEEDS A HIDDEN CAMERA IN THIS PLACE. REVOLTING DEMEANER AT RECEPTION AND 1 STAR DOCTORS GET IT WRONG.

Terrible service. Covid was an excuse to stop seeing patients which seems to have been accepted as the norm in this practice. If you value the old ways of seeing your doctor face to face you need to look elsewhere. Telephone appointments made 10 days in advance and if you don't answer within 3 rings you are told to make another appointment. Repeat prescriptions take at least 2 days longer to organise than their original estimate and they don't like the offer to collect the prescription yourself. No person or organisation I have ever dealt with in my life has made me feel as unwanted and unwelcome as these guys do.

I am certain this is the worst practise in the whole of the UK. Not only do they take months to sort out an issue that could be fixed in weeks but they're also rude to you when you finally get through to the practise, forget to process tests and medication after appointments and then blame you for it. Utter disgrace. AVOID!

Not sure why this practise has such a low score. The doctors and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. Considering how understaffed and underpaid NHS is , they are doing an amazing job.

Best practice I have been registered with. Have had lots of trouble in the past, but am generally very satisfied since moving here. My GP is great and unlike most she actually listens and is very helpful... Practice staff generally very helpful, just often quite busy so it can be difficult to communicate a more complex issue, but overall pretty good, and practice nurse is lovely! Waiting times minimal, at my previous practice it wasn't unusual to wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment with my own GP, so one week, ten days at most is nothing.

The doctors in the Kelvin medical center are by far the greatest doctors I have ever engaged with

Do not recommend this place at all. They lack care for patients, and professionalism. There is no guarantee to receive timely and trustworthy care. The receptionists are particularly impolite and careless. I made complaint to NHS for their poor performance.
