    I am so sad I have to write this review but after the experience I just had I felt it would be a disservice to any future customers if I didn't. I would like to start by saying my husband and I have been repeat customers to Kay Jewelers, in fact, to this location in particular. We brought our wedding rings and other jewelry from Kay's. My sweet husband brought me a really beautiful but expensive Mavodo watch for Christmas. The gesture was thoughtful but we cannot afford it at this time. My intent was to take the watch back immediately but with conflicting work schedules and a young child I was finally able to take the watch back today Jan 22, 2017 (32 days after it was purchased). Just to be on the safe side my husband called customer service to inquire how much time we had to return the item, to which he was told 60 days. When I took it back today the store manager told me it was out side the 30 day window and we could not return it. Mind you, it is 2 days past the 30 day window not to mention my husband was told we had 60 days to return it. To make sure I did my due diligence, I called customer service. The representative told my that the decision to have the item returned is at the total discretion of the store manager. I explained we are going through a financial hardship at this time and really cannot afford the item. The rep reached out to the store manager on our behalf and she still refused to except a return. This shows the that Kay's does not value their customers and is lacking in compassion and empathy. Please spend your money somewhere where you will be appreciated.     Karla is THE ABSOLUTE WORST EMPLOYEE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. She lacks professionalism and she needs training in customer service. I placed an online order and paid extra for Roadie to deliver my order on the same day. 3 days later I still did not receive my order. When I called customer service they informed me that the woodmore location never fulfilled the order. Customer service tried calling the store and no one picked up so I was forced to drive up to that location and all Karla could offer is that I buy a whole new bracelet because she could not do anything since the order was locked in the system. She didn’t offer to call customer service, she didn’t show any sympathy. She sat on her phone and continued to do nothing. I have been sitting in Kay on hold with customer service trying to get a hold of someone. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Do NOT buy from Kay, they are clearly lacking. I will make sure I put this on consumer affairs so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else. If my event wasn’t today I wouldn’t even spend any money here but I have no choice but to suck this up. Save your time and Save your money.

    I had to rescind my previous review because of the amazing experience I had yesterday at this location. I popped in to look at some necklaces for my husband. His birthday is next week. They had a few guests in when I walked in but I was greeted. I made my way to the gold chains to browse. The sales rep Annette walked up and greeted me again. We went over a few styles/details/costs. I really liked how she didn’t try to force anything expensive on me. I had my eye on a few. After a few minutes of indecisiveness on my part, I chose a beautiful 24in solid gold rope chain. Price was $3400 but they did have a 15% off promotion going on. Not sure when it ends. I also added the lifetime warranty. Prior terrible experiences at this location a couple of years back time after time with other team members who I didn’t see there yesterday, I vowed never to return. I broke that vow yesterday and I’m happy that I did. The service Annette provided was kind, personable, knowledgeable, and well above what I expected prior to walking in. A once loss of a good loyal customer turned back into a customer of this location for life because of her. I hope Annette gets the appreciation and praise she truly deserves because she is that amazing.

    Karla the assistant manager single handedly ruined my wedding. I placed an order for wedding bands in February 2020. I was more than patient and understanding giving the circumstances of COVID-19. I received my wedding bands but not my husband’s. I waited and waited and went to the store and her response was “oh we canceled the order” why would you cancel and not inform us nor issue a refund? She responded that she will place the order. I waited a month and she acted as if she had no idea who I was or the situation. My husband then went and she said she placed the order and will call us to confirm. No wedding band. After an entire year, I went then I had to explain the situation to her AGAIN and she said “oh the band is out of stock and we’ll give you a refund”. I married by husband with a plastic from Amazon because of her! She was not remorseful and had the worst attitude. Her response to me was “be more positive”. Please do not purchase from here. I have hundreds of wedding photos with rings from Amazon all because of Karla.

    HORRIBLE!!! Ms Rose added insurance to our balance without even asking us, then she says “it’s better to get it any way” you ask first lady 😡Then it took a month for the ring to come then after having it for only 4 days a diamond came out and it had to be repaired A BRAND NEW RING!! They said it normally takes 2 weeks but since you just got it we will rush it, they did it came back in a week, then they call me to pick the ring up, I get there a few hours after they call me they tell me I can’t get my ring because the system is down, can you believe this!! I explain to the young lady everything that I been through and she did not care, I told her if I didn’t get my ring today that they could keep it, I want money back, she said ok, I ask for a manager, she pointed to the manager Karla who was sitting there the whole time heard the whole conversation and said NOTHING!! I said to Karla you know what I been going through with this ring and she made a way for me to get my ring!! I wish my fiancé would have NEVER purchased from Kay Jewelers they have the worst customer service and poorly made jewelry....

    The quality of service depends on who is working. My ring had to be repaired and sent out twice after having it barely 6 months. My ring was custom made, they told my fiancé warranty for the band was included when he purchased. Find out its not! They never have my correct email or phone number to call me abt my ring to pick up but I get emails for ads or calls about the bill.

    Isabel and Anette was very helpful. They was patient and personable. They were closing and we’re still willing to help us. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Will definitely be back to shop with them in the future.

    It was really a pleasant visit. I am very glad I came here. Isabel, the customer service personnel was extremely helpful, plus well informed about the products. She made my ring picking exercise very pleasant, I longer was anxious. Got exactly what I wanted as well.

    They deserve one star only because of Christine and Rose, They are the best the other young ladies have very poor customer service. Between me and my husband we are in there quite often. On one occasion one young lady went back and fourth with my husband in which I thought was very unprofessional and the other young lady walked around with flip flops to let her toenails dry because she had just got her toes polished. We still visited this location to pick up his watch but the doors were locked 10 minutes prior to close because it had just started to snow flurry a little. We will continue to patronize Kay’s however at another location. The location in Bowie provides excellent customer service just ask for Randa she’s a sweetheart and goes above and beyond.

    My visit to the store today was unlike antthing I've ever experienced at Kay Jewelers before. When I visited the store today, the two young ladies didn't even acknowledge me when I entered although they both looked up and St me as I entered. I stated to mtself, "hiw rude" and the Hispanic sales girl asked what I said. I repeated it and then she sarcastically said hi, can I help you. I stated I needed a watch battery and took off my watch and handed to her. She took it with two fingers as if it was something nasty and vile to touch. Totally offensive. I got my watch back and left and will NEVER visit this location again. These sales people should be watched and counseled on good customer service.

    This is the best Kay Jewelers in the area! I’ve been coming here for more than a few years and have never had one problem. They have consistent staff so it makes it easier to do business with them because you can develop a relationship with their team and get things done quick and easy.

    They have taken my good business for granted. My ring set for my Wife, not only came back late. It came back not repaired(soldered), only to be sent back out!?!? This also was a week delay. Now, my watch has been out for repair. W This has been 3 weeks plus. I was told today, "it has been authorized to repair, two days ago"...so No notice, plus same run around?! Store is clean, & the staff is pleasent but too many delays & not treated like priority.

    So I brought in my engagement ring for repair in January and it cost $285 including shine when I got it back it was quite beautiful again I admit and then approximately 5 months later the place it first got broken it broke again. The only thing I was told is that it’s out of the 6 month warranty cause I brought it in a month later and reason for late return is I had my first born in June and and time passed. Ok besides that excuse, come on it broke in the same place again lest than six months which clearly states to me that it wasn’t repaired properly. Now I could be wrong but not only that I gotta pay this whole lot of money if not more than what I first paid just to get it repaired again. I’m very disappointed but they will not be getting anymore of my purchases in the future. I’m sorry

    If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I NEVER EVER write reviews but this experience today was absolutely horrible. My fiancé purchased my engagement ring from the location in Pentagon city withOUT problem but we decided to go to this location bc it's closer to our home. We purchased our wedding bands on labor day, I purchased an enhancer and was told that it would fit my ring but it just had to be sized to fit, so we sent it off (engagement ring and enhancer). We also purchased his ring but had to be special ordered to fit his finger. We left empty handed that day. Received a call saying my ring was ready for pick up. However once arriving to pick it up noticed it was ALL wrong, my engagement ring was increased in size to a 10, which was falling off my finger and the enhancer was my correct size. So they sent my engagement ring back to be put back to regular size. I left that day with only the enhancer. About another week had passed, another call received telling me my ring is back. Went back to Kay's, without enhancer (my fault was just excited to have my ring back) got home tried it on with the enhancer and NOPE doesnt fit. The base of my ring would not allow the ring to properly fit in the enhancer. Drive BACK to the store, to be told that they need to send it off yet again to make it fit. This would be the third time and I refused. The associate told me that I never should have been sold this enhancer bc it does not go with my ring. My fiancé found the band that goes with my ring online, so we asked if we could exchange the enhancer with the matching band and she said yes. So we placed that order. Another week passed, another email received, saying rings ready for pick up- my fiancé 's ring. We get there, they cant find it, 30 mins later finally they found it, was under an employee's name, which we were told they do to rush the return on the ring but no one communicated that with each other so they were running around looking for his ring. Needless to say, they had the ring. She, the associate, Michalah, said she needed the ring that they gave us when we purchased his ring so they could exchange. Well we were never given a ring when we purchased his ring but yet they swore they gave us one. She said that when we purchased the ring, we should have received the ring that was in the store and they place an order for the same ring but in his size so that when his size ring comes back we'd make an exchange, but that never happened!!! She said she'd have to look a video surveillance from that day to make sure we did not leave without a ring. She went in the back for about 15-20mins, came out and said we can come back on Monday (today is Saturday) to see about getting the ring bc she needed to speak with another employee who was not there today. I asked her what she found on the video tape and her response was that she needed to review this with the other employee. Then security walked in!! I said, "you called security?!" She said, "No, he is just visiting." The security guard says, "I'm not here for you, I'm here to get my ring sized." He kept walking back and forth around us, gets some hand sanitizer and leaves; NEVER gets his "ring sized". I tell the associate that I'm not leaving his ring here, coming back on Monday, which would have been the FOURTH time coming back bc of KAY'S ERROR. I ask for a total refund, giving them back their bands and she agrees. If they really thought we were given a ring and was holding it why would they give us a refund and let us walk out the store? Their whole operation at this store is unorganized, unprofessional, scattered, poor communication with no one knowing what is going on. Thank God we ordered our bands early enough and are not pressed for time but I am back at square one all bc this store continues to mess up; each and every time we walked in this store there was a problem. Im sorry I wasted my time and money; money in which I received back but time I never will. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, ITS A JOKE, and never ONCE did anyone apologize.

    Whenever I visit the Kay's Jewelers located in the Woodmore Shopping Center, Glen Arden, MD, I am always greeted by a very pleasant and knowledgeable young lady by the name of Christine. She makes my visit very comfortable, takes care of my repair order (which occurs every 6 months) and makes certain before I leave the store that I am equipped with any paperwork (if needed) to retrieve my wedding rings after repair work is completed. Christine should be commended for jobs well done as a representative of Kay's Jewelry.
