As folks from the city, we just wanted somewhere to get away from the hustle and bustle of city beaches for once. We tried going here and we’re denied entry for not being season pass holders. It’s a BEACH. Public land. It should be free to access. After all I’m sure your residents come to our beaches as well and we don’t turn them away. Obviously this beach is meant for the rich and white. Disgusting.

as a former resident of the north shore i find it honestly appalling that they charge you differently based on which city you live in and restrict which beaches you can go to. i understand it probably has something to do with income taxes and i know why it is but i also think that you cannot own the BEACH

I love this beach! Always love coming here to get the European feel. There is a sandy open beach, life guard on site. Visit is membership based, ample parking on both sides of the beach, parking is free, admission to beach is not free, however if you come early in morning or late in evening its free. There is a boardwalk that is closed and is under construction. tons of stuff for kids, beach games, kayak and boat rentals and personal spaces for bbq. All in all great experience

A nice, clean beach with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The kids can have loads of fun at the sprayground. The ramp & the steps that leads to the beach adds to the beauty of it. If you stand at the end of scenic pier, you can experience the waves splashing on your feet and it was so much fun for the little one! The only downside is non-residents have to pay $20, but given the times, maybe the residents feel the need to be safe from a crowded beach which is understandable.

Anazing. Great beach. No crowd. Sweeping views from top. Wide display of colors and hues in the water. If you are not a Glencoe resident, single visits are very pricy. If you plan to be there for at least 5-6 times in a year, it would make sense to buy a season pass for the family.

Excellent park for some great Lake Michigan vistas even during the winter. We really enjoyed stopping by at this hard to find park. The views are spectacular. We came here for Valentines and saw the big blue sky and frozen lake, and it was beautiful! In the summer this park must be fantastic but looks like parking and beach permits need to be bought ahead of time. Parking is pretty sparse.

What an amazing beach, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there! The staff goes above and beyond to make your experience worthwhile. From complimentary golf cart services to knowledgeable staff, they help make your experience worth the admission price. The managers are so sweet as well. I love the playground portion, especially the inclusive swing. Everything was well taken care of and I would recommend this beach. Free parking as well, always a plus in my book!

Do not let a family with children go to the beach, although we did not go to swim, and not to use the beach, but just to look at the waves!!! Are you overheated in the sun? I am ready to buy a pass, but in case I visit the beach at the time when the pass is required. And you demand it at a time when access is free. Or maybe your person is installed here illegally and collects payment also unofficially? I think it's worth checking it out!

My day at the Glencoe Beach started with easy directions and great parking! We walked down a ramp-like walkway with automobile access. Once at the bottom we had lots of stairs. We saw the catamarans and the lovely sand beach filled with big juicy rocks. The view was lovely. The 99.9% clear sky made it a great spot. When the weather is warmer I can imagine lots more people. We enjoyed a tiny simple ceremony. Lovely place to walk. Not sure if there is an elevator, but one is needed for the elderly. Maybe I missed it.

The management, especially Matt is racist towards certain people. We were given a different rate over the phone, but the manager refused to honor that price once he saw us. We were told by Bobby that they will investigate this incident, but we will see if they are telling the truth! I will be pursuing legal action against them! Apparently this is not the first racist incident from the reviews they have! Something needs to be done to stop this!

A great place to see the sunrise! Parking was nearby the beach was very accessible from there. It is not as wide as expected—boats/kayaks take up the left third and a playground is on the right third, but it is a nice location with wooden tables along the back if needed. Tip: If you do go for the sunrise, make sure the check the weather first! We went on a day when it was supposed to rain, so the sun was barely visible, the water was rough, and it was very windy.

Glencoe beach is a spectacular place to enjoy, truly a stunning place to spend your summer days & nights. The water play area is so fun for the kids & the playground area has been completely renovated. The trellises (available for rent) and grill stations are ideal for spending an entire day at the beach.

A beautiful spot right in the beach on Glencoe. Early morning sunrise and swim is uncontested. Feels like a resort but without a fee.

Great beach! Love that there’s a mat on the sand leading to the water as I’m in a wheelchair and can’t walk on the sand. The con is that you have to pay to get in. Shouldn’t have to pay to go to a PUBLIC beach. Never coming here again. Do better Glencoe 😠

Negative: We purchased 3 tickets for $42 and went straight to the water. In 2 min we were back at the cashier because we realized that all water area and tidal area are covered with stones. We wanted to leave and asked for the refund. NO REFUNDS!!! We left and went to Evanston. Positive: Rest of the beach is covered with a sand. Clean place, nice amenities.

They charged us $50 for admission for group of 7 and little later we found out that the beach was closed for swimming, when we asked for a refund they said there will be no refund. Not recommended!

smaller beach but my kids love it! they have a playground they can play at. water sprayers to run around in. eating areas and pergolas off to the side. it is always pretty clean and well kept. the season pass is a reasonable price too. all around one of our favorite local beaches!

I just took my 20 month toddler to the Glencoe beach. It was her 1st time visiting. I went all over the place searching for beach play sets and bought a set then headed to glencoe beach just to find out I need to buy a season pass. They did not allow me in with daily admission. How ridiculous is this? Beach closes on Memorial day which is in 2 days and you can't make an exception at least for families with little kids? It was just so frustrating that we carried everything there and then had to turn around. You will be closing the beach in 2 days and you can't let anyone in on those couple days who is willing to pay daily admission fee? At least do it for little kids!

The Glencoe beach is one of my favorite spots to sit down and enjoy the view. Has a playground for kids, bathroom and changing rooms, rentals, and overall a beautiful place to take pictures.

Great beach! A wonderful place for children and adults to enjoy the day. For paddle boarders and sail boaters the boat storage area is a bonus!

Cool little hidden gem if you're not from around the area. Good place for family and kids. There are bathrooms, water fountains, picnic area, kids park, sprinkler, and a pier. Only downside is they will charge you to get in. Its private and not overcrowded but I assume because of the price. Still a good spot to check out at least one time.
