The
hotel
layout
is
very
unique
and
not
typical
of
a
Motel
6.
It
looks
like
a
fortress.
The
entire
structure
has
large
gated
closures
that
are
now
left
permanently
open.
There
are
two
sections.
The
building
opposite
of
the
office,
has
wide
stairways
and
spacious
rooms.
I
believe
everything
is
smaller
in
the
other
building
where
the
office
is
located.
I
was
skeptical
at
first,
but
I
encountered
no
issues
with
my
stay.
All
rooms
surround
a
small
courtyard
area
that
is
very
worn
looking.
The
rooms
don't
get
much
natural
lighting
because
of
the
layout.
The
area
definitely
isn't
upscale,
but
we
felt
safe
enough
to
walk
our
dogs
outside
of
the
property,
to
nearby
empty
parking
lots,
since
the
courtyard
was
basically
bare
dirt.
The
room
was
clean
(except
for
typical
dirt
on
wood
floors),
the
bed
was
comfortable,
and
everything
worked
as
expected.
I
saw
no
evidence
of
bugs
and
we
felt
fairly
safe,
despite
my
first
impressions.
The
walls
are
not
incredibly
soundproof,
which
is
isn't
too
surprising.
You
will
hear
the
nearby
train
and
noise
in
the
rooms
nextdoor.
The
bathroom
could
use
an
update.
During
our
3
day
stay,
we
did
noticed
that
some
of
the
rooms
were
in
the
process
of
being
renovated.
Overall,
not
bad
and
reasonably
priced.
