Good location, this is one place where to get great food. Everything they sell is tasting exceptional, most of the food is organic and the price is right, less expensive than others but better quality. And it looks like a lot of people like the quality since the place was packed. The store is split into Bakery and Restaurant, so eating on the spot is a great option, but also, getting food, cookies and cakes for later is another option. Visiting LA area should always include a meal at Porto's!

A very popular bakery with five or more shops in Greater LA. This location is very conveniently accessed from I-210. The store is large, brightly lit, clean, with a lot of tables for eating in. There are lines to make purchase but the wait is short. The staff is very friendly, efficient, and helpful. The variety of danishes and cakes is very large and apparently kept fresh. Had samples of danishes and they were very good. We parked on the street about 100 feet from store front. In and out within 15 minutes several bags of danishes. It was a very satisfying visit.

I had a family friend bring this from North Carolina to have me try it and it was bomb. Now that I am on a trip to LA, thought I would travel to taste it baked at the spot. FOOD WAS AMAZING, the potato balls were very warm and soft, grilled chicken sandwich was very savory, flavorful and the chili sauce gave a good hint of spice, the mango smoothie was fresh and smooth. Finally the pastries they were nice and gave me a satisfying sweet tooth. So far I have been eating here through out long trip and would always have this as my favorite bakery. Thank you Noel for having us in your bakery and his fellow workers Oscar, and the waiter sorry if I didn’t catch your name, but overall the best bakery I’ve ever had!!!

I usually don't trust bakeries that have a huge selection but this place is AMAZING! So many different options, and nothing we got was a miss. Most of the pastries are $1-2 so you really get whatever you want. The puff pastry was so well done. I have zero idea how they produce such high quality food at such volume. The place does get crowded but don't worry, it is run with an extremely high efficiency. It is worth the wait!

This place is a Southern California legend! They are my gold standard for Cuban pastries and other baked goods. No, I've never been to Cuba and can't comment on how authentic their products taste. All I know is that they taste good to me. They taste so good that, friends and relatives from other countries request their products by name, even hand carry them on their flights home. The cheese rolls are my guilty pleasure. I can never just eat one.

What can I not add than what has already been pointed out in the reviews. This is an excellent organization that has not been franchised nor I think it ever should be. Various locations throughout Southern California and they operate under the same formula. Whether it be fresh pastries, sandwiches or fruity drinks, you are in for an amazing experience. Had the dine in when I went. However, be warned that when you go in, you will definitely come out with a lot more than what was intended because everything is such a delight. Torts are outstanding. The steak is so well seasoned. The plantain chip are so delicious. The strawberry mojito is absolutely the best. Do not even get me started on the dessert. From the Hershey kisses to the cheese delights, as well as so many others, it's so difficult to stay focused on a single selection. Thus, I just bought them all. The costs are very modest and the service is always fantastic. Great family run establishment.

Great place, arranged lines for order and takeout orders. Dedicated 1 personnel from receiving orders to payout and takeout orders. Delicious yet affordable price. Their signature pastry is the cheese rolls, flaky yet delicious cheese fillings with no aftertaste butter sticking to your palate.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 can eat entire box! Cheese rolls are buttery with just a hint of sweetness outside and the inside is more savory. Guava cheese rolls weren’t as consistent where the filling is only on half of the pastry. Ambience: 4/5 organized chaos. Signs on where to go but people walking everywhere. Menu always has nice fonts Service: 5/5 quick and to the point. No small talk which is understandable for the number of customers Value for price: 5/5 price has gone up a little but worth every cent. Since it’s a chain bakery, they can afford to be cheaper due to amount of sales.

This specific Porto’s location in Glendale is my favorite! I’ve been coming here for years and their food never disappoints! Although the long lines can be disappointing at times. It gets very busy depending on what day and time you visit. Definitely recommend going during the week if you don’t want to deal with a line or crowds. My go to items are the Chicken empanadas and carrot cake slice! Literally obsessed with their chicken empanadas, I highly recommend trying it at least once! I’ve also tried a variety of their other cake slices and pastry items. Their potato balls are also a pretty good option too. Prices are pretty fair for what you get. And the service at this location has always been good!

Great food, excellent atmosphere, great service 🍽️🥙🍽️ the carrot cake is bomb, cookie, and the matcha tea latte are wonderful. Fun at the bakery and cafe ☕️ meat pastries are unique with the variety of food choices. Breakfast stops at at 11am so the lunch menu was utilized. True fan of this place and will return ❤️

Pleasure of my wife doing everything exactly right! Do you know what true love is? Beautiful woman who bought me a mix berry muffin from Porto’s! I’m going to go on record and say ‘you can look high and low but you will never find s better muffin ! Tender , sweet, delicious and a little more than you expected ! It was the best thing that I ever experienced and it is the best thing I used it to make myself a happy man who loves his wife and his muffins. Thank you for sharing this information and now I’m gonna go and finish it off !

“There’s always room for improvement” FULL MENU from breakfast- brunch -lunch-dinner -dessert - cold&hot drink- pastries. they have options for it. Place is decent for dining or even just to go. Even easier if you order online direct to the website. Parking is NOT FREE they will tow if not paid. Overall experience is awesome a spot in SOCAL that really need to try.

One of my favorites. A must-try if nearby. So many options, and they are so good. Not to mention, the prices are reasonable. Authentic Cuban food at its finest. There is generally a line, but it never takes too long. If anything, that just speaks to how well-liked they are and how used to it they are.

This bakery is super popular and always has a long line during the weekends. I have stopped by a few times and braved the line (could be 20-30 minutes sometimes) to see if it's as spectacular as the reviews and lines claim. It is very good, definitely not bad, but I can't see a big difference between this bakery and the rest of the equally good ones in Los Angeles (or bay area). I have tried different pastries and they are all delicious and taste great but not worth the half an hour wait. I will stop by again I am sure as the crowd pulls you in and you want to not miss out on the goodies that everyone else is getting, but it's the same as all the other good ones.

Delicious bakery with fresh pastries, sandwiches and desserts. Loved the tamales, meat pies, and the seafood potato croquette. It was so good we came back again on our trip. The prices of all the items are really fairly priced as well!

This is a wonderful bakery. Plenty of options. I grabbed a few pastries for the road and they were delicious. Be prepared to wait in a line. Took about 10 minutes to place my order. Also, be aware that parking is limited. There is a public parking lot right behind Porto’s that is 1.50 per hour. Wonderful food and service.

The food is so tasty. I like this place. May be service could be slowly, and the line is so huge, but it means that the place is wonderful. I can wait because I like atmosphere. Also I love to read a book outside with delicious food and good coffee

I finally got to go to this place and I must say, it didn't disappoint. Everything we got was absolutely fantastic. The potatoe balls were absolutely delicious. And so was the cheese rolls and the Mango mousse ball. But the show stopper was the Fresh Fruit Tart. My hubby got me the whole tart for my bday and I haven't had anything made with Fruit that insanely delicious. At first my husband was like. We're going way out there just to go to a bakery? But then he had there blueberry muffin. And now he's talking about how were going to go there at least twice a month. I'm down. I can't wait to go back to try something else.

All the Portos are great, the advantage of the one located in glendale is the nice enviroment and restaurant size. Come here for a delicious breakfast. You'll have to make a 10-15 minutes line to order but it is well worth the wait. Then the ataff will give you an order/table tracker to get you your plates and beverages. The cuban is always good but the cuban french toast is insane! Good, pretty and affordable makes visiting Portos a pleasant experience

.The Sandwich: I tried their classic Cubano (Cuban sandwich). The slow roast pork & ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and house special dressing in the Cuban toasted roll. So good! It goes so well with the fried plantains on the side.

Porto’s is worth the hype! Enjoyed the cheese and spicy peppers potato ball, guava strudel, cheese rolls, churro croissant, cookies and coffee! Lines were long, but moved quickly. The service is quick and efficient. They have 2 sections where you can order food, bakery items and drinks. The bakery items are boxed and handed to you as soon as you pay, food of opted to dine is delivered to your table and drinks are picked up at the beverage section. It was well worth the detour while on a road trip!

I love Porto's. I usually only go to their Burbank location but the quality was just as excellent here as it is there. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. It's such a smart idea to give the workers behind the counter tablets to take the orders and ring it up then bring your food over. And it's great that you can order cafe food while you're in the bakery line so you don't have to go into different lines for different things. I took my food to-go but I did see seating outside as well as inside. I don't know if they were checking indoor diners for their vaccination cards, though. If Glendale weren't so damn far away, I'd definitely come more often. Overall 5/5 stars for service and quality.

Porto's is a true treasure trove for those with a sweet tooth, and my visit was nothing short of a delightful experience. The bakery and food hall boast an incredible array of desserts and pastries that are not only visually stunning but also packed with exquisite flavors. The attention to detail in the designs of their creations is remarkable, making each treat a feast for the eyes. What truly sets Porto's apart is that the beauty is not just skin deep – the flavors are equally impressive. From the first bite, it's evident that their culinary expertise is second to none. Whether you're a fan of classic pastries or enjoy exploring unique and creative desserts, Porto's has something to satisfy every craving. It's a haven for those seeking a perfect blend of aesthetics and flavor. Five stars for an amazing selection that turns every visit into a sweet journey of culinary delight!

I went to here to order a birthday cake for my wife and it is first time. Odered cake and few sandwiches. Porto’s Bakery and Cafe is a haven for food lovers seeking an extraordinary culinary adventure. From the first bite to the last, their delectable treats never disappoint. I highly recommend visiting Porto’s to experience the magic of their heavenly baked goods. Just be prepared to fall in love with their irresistible creations.

Listen, Porto's is simply the best. They are a staple. The long line may be intimidating, but to me, it's worth it. You can't go wrong with anything you get here. It is consistently good. The staff is always friendly and the space is pretty big. You will wait so be prepared.

This bakery was worth the wait. We got there the day before Mother’s day so there was a line that wrapped around the building. It was about a 30 minute wait that went by quickly. You might also be able to do an online order for pick up. Location itself was fairly big, staff was nice, and once you’ve placed an order it was prepared very quickly. Once we placed our order, we took an outdoor table. I personally lean more towards savoury than sweet when I go to bakeries, but their Guava Strudels are amazing. I loved the Guava lemonade, it was very refreshing on a hot day. We also got the pineapple empanadas, potato balls, and chicken croquettes which were all really good. I wish I could order more. The 4 boxes I brought home to Canada were gone in two days.
