I
tried
out
three
separate
“comedy
courses”
last
year
and
this
place
was
my
worst
experience.
I’m
reviewing
the
comedy
class
and
not
the
actual
shows
which
I’m
sure
are
cool.
If
you’re
an
aspiring
comedian
and
you’re
looking
for
good
spot
to
test
out
your
abilities,
I
don’t
recommend
this
spot
for
POC.
I’m
specifically
talking
about
black
people.
Unless
you’re
Carleton
and
have
no
sense
of
the
culture
I’d
stay
away
from
attending
the
comedy
classes.
This
place
will
not
help
you
personalize
your
comedy
and
is
actually
very
restricting
if
you’re
a
black
person.
The
lady
teacher
and
one
of
the
students
actually
ended
up
loudly
Saying
the
N
word
with
the
hard
R
over
and
over.
She
tried
to
explain
to
me
my
own
culture
and
generally
had
a
very
unwelcoming
vibe
when
it
came
to
me.
I
was
a
double
minority
in
a
class
made
up
of
mostly
white
men
and
boys,
one
other
woman
and
one
other
black
person.
I’m
a
black
woman.
I
believe
after
the
second
or
third
class
I
stopped
attending
and
I
started
to
look
into
new
comedy
classes
or
clubs
that
would
fit
my
style
and
would
appreciate
varying
perspectives.
I
ended
up
finding
one.
Bottom
line
if
you’re
a
black
woman
or
a
black
person
who
grew
up
with
our
style
of
comedy,
I’d
think
twice
about
taking
one
of
their
classes
especially
with
the
older
woman.
3/10
would
not
recommend
(MOST
of
the
classmates
were
so
supportive
and
loving
😌)
