Beautiful place to explore and stroll through. The ground is a former monastery and and active cemetery/burial place. There are several ruin structures (towers, churches) that are being preserved. Nearby, a couple of beautiful lakes with gorgeous views and a walking trail.

Amazing scenery, but be ready for the weather changes: it changes so quickly and so often. We had sun, light rain, heavy shower back to sun, then a shower, sun, extremely heavy rain all within one hour. The pink walk alongside the main falls is well worth doing with a good wide path. (Brown is hard work with a LOT of steps and St Kevin's cell location is just a open area, not worth the effort.) The green route around the lower tarn is also glorious.

One of my favourite places in Ireland. The scenery and history spark something in visitors. Ideally visit early on a weekday for the quietest experience. All nearby car parks have a charge. The Upper Car Park will bring you right to the most picturesque photo spots but the lower car park allows you to walk along the lower lake and passes the monastic village. There are numerous hiking trails in the area, the most popular of which is the Spinc around the top of the valley.

Great park to trek around and find beautiful scenery. The Upper Lake has a lovely little beach, mostly occupied by ducks, and it is easy to walk to the waterfall nearby. Bring hiking shoes or sturdy boots sneakers or boots.

The National Park is worth visiting. You can combine a visit of the monastery's ruins with a longer or shorter hike to the Upper Lake and the beautiful valley. The forest is really charming and you can still feel the atmosphere of spirituality.

A Beautiful national park with 2 lakes and several hiking trails, my recommendation is to do the Spinc and Glenealo Valley Walk which is the White Route because it covers the bigger area of the National Park, very recommended and can be done with kids as well, just a heads up, the parking lot on the national park cost 4 Euros and has toilets right next to it which are very clean

It doesn't get much prettier than this. We arrived before the crowds on a Sunday morning, it was ridiculously peaceful and serene. There is a bench on the Ramble trail that sits with a terrific view over the upper lake valley. We sat and had lunch here, highlight of the day for sure.

Stunning place especially if you try to avoid the busiest tourist zones. Use the Wicklow Way to walk into the valley and lakes from above Laragh if you have the time. There are trails on Komoot

While in Ireland, I really wanted to spend some time here, and I'm glad I did. Half the time, it was raining, half the time, it was sunny. I loved every minute here, and I will be back someday.

A short drive from Dublin and you can experience Irish nature, the park has two lakes lower and upper lake, an old abandoned monastery and a quaint cemetery. There’s a small waterfall and a look out. Very nice place to walk around and see some nature. We saw a deer and local birds.

Wow this place is amazing. I would definitely visit again and again. The surroundings are beautiful, just come prepared as you can spend your whole day very well here. There is a lot to explore and walk. There is also a designated path for the buggies/strollers. It was so good to see how well nature is maintained. I recommend this place.

This park is one of the most beautiful places in Ireland and I am so glad I came to check it out. You could easily spend a couple days here or just come out for a picnic and some swimming on a warm summers day. Definitely include this on any trip through the region

This has to be the most beautiful place in the world! It is so peaceful, even if there are lots o visitors. There is a variety of walks, the various ruins of Churches, the 2 lakes... Something for everyone!

Absolutely stunning place you must see when visiting Ireland! ☺️ A great way to get there from Dublin if you don't have a car is to take "Glendalough bus", just make sure you're there in time (30 minutes earlier) to make sure you get your seat - you cannot book or buy a ticket online. Return ticket is 20€

Wow this place is so beautiful. It's very popular with families having picnics but also with hikers, and those wishing to take a nice stroll around a truly picturesque location. I count myself in the later category and it didn't disappoint. The walk wasn't taxing and the payoff was wonderful. The lakes and views beyond are divine.

I absolutely enjoyed hiking the trails of this place. We went for a short hike of 3 hrs. As we entered the national park there was a spacious paid car parking, where we parked our car. From there we went to the visitors centre and had a quick chat with the lady at the centre. She gave us directions to the lower and upper lake. It's around 15 mins walk to the upper lake. There are quite a few options for food and drinks there. We had a quick bite before we started our walk. The taco fries are especially delicious. The trail we took was an easy walk. There is also a beautiful waterfall. Overall we had a lovely time at this beautiful place. I totally recommend this place for a weekend outing spot.

Wonderful place! I'm sure we are going there more times. The trails are good indicated with color arrows. There are so many different levels of walk: easy, moderate and hard. You don't need to pay anything there, there is a few food trucks in case you forget to bring food, but my advice is to bring snacks, water and good shoes for hiking because sometimes it rains (it's a mountain). To go from Dublin you can use bus 181 or 131 to Ashfor and 183 to Glendalough. Or the opposite to come back.

Beautiful place, the trail was easy and very nice even with the rain that maybe made it more beautiful. I suggest to bring boots, a keeway and an umbrella.

Simply gorgeous! A quiet village tucked into the mountains. Worth a gentle hike or dip in the lake. Don’t forget to get the gelato or chips at the food trucks!!

Beautiful park! I did a part of the upper lake walk with my dad and it was super nice. There was a paved path (which makes for easy walking) and a trail path a bit closer to the water. After an hour of walking or so, we made it a bit past the miners village (we were walking sort of slow and stopping for lots of pics).

One of the best places to visit un Ireland despite it doesn't has the popularity of other places. The paths and trails are very well maintained and as you start walking you see things you really don't spect, like graveyards, old sanctuaries, cascades...and the variety of colours on the vegetation that you hardly find anywhere else. Another different thing from most of other places in nature I've visited is that they do not make you pay for walking or visiting a open and public place.

Fantastic hiking location, we did the spinc loop and it was really nice, was about 10k and took us around 3.5 hours! Views are fantastic and if you get a good day like we did it makes it so much better.

Tried going on the big hike, but the weather gets a bit windy and drizzling, so we decided to return back without completing the entire track. Make sure you bring water, food and raincoat (even if it is summer!, I guess a thin raincoat will do)
