Unfortunately as we arrived having booked a table for 7 people to eat, we were informed by the bar staff that there was a mere 50/50 chance we would get a table. I explained we'd booked online earlier that day and received a confirmation email. Her response was we're busy, we haven't checked bookings so sorry. We had family traveling to meet us and felt this was a totally unacceptable response from the staff. The manager then became involved, and unbelievably stated she was unable to ensure we had a table... We'd booked at 5pm for 7.30pm, and despite having an email confirming our booking this was the attitude we encountered. We complained and after some discussion they did eventually find us a table, but there was no apology and the whole staff team remained unhelpful and grumpy. If you can't accept confirmed bookings, the service shouldn't be provided online.

This has got to be one of the best pubs to eat in in Gloucester. The staff are very polite and friendly when you get there - straight away making you feel welcome. The pub itself inside is nice, clean and actually makes you want to stay. The food choice was good and everything was in stock. Ordered at the counter and food came out in a reasonable time and was excellent. Very nice food and everyone was impressed. This is family dining as it should be - many thanks. Even the outside terrace area is a nice touch 👌. There is plenty of dining space outside aswell as inside and ample parking

Absolutely amazing lunch and drinks! Very fresh and great atmosphere. The chicken burger was incredible, just HUGE! The recommendation of dirty chips was the best suggestion ever! They were absolutely delicious!!!!!!! Great value and attentive staff. We will be back !!!

Never had an issue in this bar. Always more than friendly to accommodate any requests.

Busy and bustling atmosphere whatever time of the week. Ellie and Jamie are service with a smile however busy they are. Yes, if it's really busy, you are likely to wait a bit longer for food but the food is always really good - just get another drink in while you're waiting!!

Been here a few times recently and decided to bring our son and his girlfriend with us tonight. Booked for 7.30pm without realising it was quiz night, ordered food but no one told us there was a delay. Our two meals arrived at 9.15pm and found out they hadn't put through the other two. Absolutely disgusting service. A shame as previous meals & service had been so good.

I would definitely recommend this place the staff was so lovely! Jamie brought over our food with such a big smile and the food was just amazing. We also took part in the quiz which made our night even better, it was so much fun! I will definitely be coming back again and bringing more people.

Popped in with the family on a Thursday evening. The place was busy but with a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food was extremely good and we all enjoyed our meals. Standouts were the Pork Belly and Goodfella burger. We were served by Ben and his excellent service made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meals. A great value local pub. Will visit again.
