The doctor and the rest of the staff I have interacted with at the clinic have been consistently professional and pleasant to deal with. However, I did have a less than satisfactory encounter with the receptionist(who I later found out is the manager/owner of the practice). During my visit, I experienced unprofessional behavior that negatively impacted my overall impression of the clinic. It felt as though the person in this role lacked the expected level of professionalism and acted inappropriately. I would have preferred a more mature and respectful approach to their duties as the front-facing representative of the clinic. While the medical care provided by the doctor and other staff was commendable, my interactions with the owner/manager/receptionist left a lasting negative impact. As a result, I have decided that I will not be returning to this clinic for future medical services. Edit: You should listen back to your calls. I have never behaved rude with any of your staff. I do not have or have had problems with your staff ever. The receptionist lack of tact is extremely off putting. You got your payment. I did not walk out, I wasn’t informed I had to pay. I only received a call 15 minutes after leaving. After which I returned and payed in person. I did not want to pay over the phone. Whereas you threatened to "hold my prescription". Now that is unprofessional. I was made to feel severely unwelcome and bullied. If I wanted to be vengeful I would have left a 1 star rating. But that is unfair to the staff that works very hard at this practice and not a true reflection of the medical care I have received here. I specifically mentioned my interaction with the person on reception today. There is a professional manner to handle these situations and you have proven that you do not want to do so once again in your reply here.

We've been seeing Dr Natasha Gould the last 9 months during my pregnancy and now with a newborn. She has been fantastic! She is very knowledgeable in women's health/pregnancy/newborns, we leave every appointment happy with our service. The receptionist ladies today were also fantastic in fitting us in with an appointment after I had a baby brain moment and came in on the wrong day. Thank you Varsity Lakes Family Practice

After wanting to find a new doctors surgery for so long, I decided to go to Varsity Lakes Family Practice and I am very impressed and definitely will be back! The whole process from booking to being greeted at reception and sitting in the waiting room was easy and hassle free. I really liked that it wasn’t too busy and easy to get into. I had my appointment with Dr. Nouri who was not only lovely and caring, but also thorough and informative. As someone who doesn’t like going to doctors appointments, I feel comfortable and happy to go back!

I’ve been seeing Dr Natasha Olsson for the past year and can’t recommend her highly enough! After my regular doctor of 15 years retired I had concerns of finding anyone even close to his experience …. Dr Olsson is thorough and extremely compassionate and empathetic…you never feel rushed and always leave feeling a sense of relief that you are being looked after by a doctor who is knowledgable and experienced. Thanks for looking after me Dr Olsson. Would highly recommend P.s Thankyou to Kim and reception staff always helpful and accommodating….keep up the great work guys

Dr Catherine Quirk is the only doctor worth seeing in SEQLD. I am reserved in actually submitting this - because good healthcare, assessment, and access to specialist treatment is hard to find. Don’t book an appointment if you can’t appreciate what is available to you. Do your best to communicate your needs, and prepare for your appointment. She is accomodating and understanding of the things we react to because we lack objective perspective. Don’t take that for granted. It’s so rare, please don’t impact her desire to learn and understand all the different people to help because you can’t manage your emotions. She’s a person too, she has a family, and plants and passions! Same goes for the first port of call - receptionists that diffuse your situation with soft words and kind tones. The ones that contribute more than they know, the ones that take peace with when wherever they go. Rairaisa that’s you. Treat them as such, show your appreciation. They doesn’t care what background or demographic, they just care about how you articulate what you need. They pay attention to things that others don’t. I’ve never felt like I was in safe, competent hands, that understood I am a person too. Acknowledged the awkwardness I felt in the room of having to seek a rebated funded professional to care for me. Their approach is holistic, they dont waste your time, and if there is legitimate scheduling conflicts. They account for this, acknowledge the pressures you’re facing from sources in your life. I must have faith that there will be enough funding that I won’t have to struggle and compete to have access. This practice is a statement to what modern approaches with credence and homage to the past can achieve. They have so much to impart on you if you just listen. Follow their guidance. Dr Catherine Quirk is the embodiment of what medical science field needs. Evidence based practice. She won’t be here for long, appreciate and learn what you can, whilst you can. I wasted so much time and mentoring opportunities to soak up information. Thank you, To everyone that kept me here IOU The true sentiments and oaths to care are upheld to the standards Dr. Catherine Quirk and Rairaisa embody.

Dr Soroor and the team at Varsity Lakes Family Practice have been fantastic. Dr Soroor is a brilliant and well educated doctor, especially in women's health. She is a fantastic active listener, and is sure to ask me what I feel is best for my health. The nursing team is equally amazing, having just had an iron infusion earlier this week. The front office admin and reception make you feel welcome and are quick to process payments and make appointments. Thank you Dr. Soroor and Varsity Lakes Family Practice Team!

Dr Jonathan Bailey basically ran us through a 5 minute appointment to get on to the next patient. My partner suffers from clinical depression, anxiety, ocd, adhd and we were trying to get a referral sent off after the appointment. No such referal had been sent out, basically forgotten. Not going to bother going to a doctor who doesn't actually care if their patient gets treated. (Edit: Called the referal doc two days after appointment and no such referal was sent. Called Varsity to confirm and verify, they said nothing had been sent. Also this would be the second time we have gone in to get referred, since Robina private was "full". The lengths anyone has to go to, to get seen by a specialist is ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS) The state of mental health treatment in this country is abysmal at best. Millions suffer from depression and debilitating anxiety and when it's so hard to even get the energy to make a booking and attend, it feels like the system is benefiting and not the patients. If you're reading this and suffer from depression, ptsd, anxiety etc, contact a reputable therapist after July 1st 2023 to find out if psilocybin or other assisted therapy would be good for your specific issues. Don't hope that a GP will know everything as they often don't have much training in nutrition. I've even seen one google symptoms whilst we were in an appointment!

Will never attend this medical practice again and do not recommend it to any concerned parents with a baby. Was asked to get a rat test 15 minutes before our appointment for a baby, not even 2 years old. And not our first visit. Went to My Health Burleigh no questions asked at all, baby was straight to see the doctor. And no she did not have covid. 3 years later, they are still carried on with covid garbage and, even worse, a baby. Minus 1 star. Never again.

Our first child had her 6 week immunisations today. Dr. Jonathan Bailey was very attentive and thorough as our daughter had an ear infection earlier in the week. He is extremely knowledgeable and is very good at communicating his thought process which made us feel at ease. The nurses were exceptional at making us feel comfortable as we were a bit anxious about her first injections and were very gentle with her. I highly recommend Varsity Lakes Family Practice to anyone as they have been very user friendly and caring towards their patient needs. 5 stars 🌟
