One of the best pints of Guinness in Australia served here!! I drop in here every time I'm on the Gold coast and I'm always met with a smile and great service. Spent my whole day here having lunch and a few relaxing pints of the black stuff, Warren the barman is a legend.

Chanced upon the pub while walking and had quite possibly the best roast ever. Yorkshire pudding was amazing, potatoes were crispy and flavourful as were all the roasted veggies and pork AND crackling! Service was excellent. Impeccable experience on a Sunday arvo! The chef who made the roast needs a raise.

One star rating based solely on the treatment given by one specific barmaid. I don't know what her problem was but she should be sent on her way. Both my sister and myself had seperate incidents with her. We spent a lot of money there and were treated like trash. Neither of us will be going back. It's a shame as we had spent many family gatherings there and have had better experiences in the past but our gatherings will be spent elsewhere in the future.

Good on Mick and Denise Power for having and keeping one of the oldest Irish pubs in Australia – open fire in winter , some great food but unfortunately a really hostile bar man & woman working their with such a bad attitude and this has been mentioned several times before in the reviews – if only Mick and Denise knew how some of their staff really behaved and replaced them - the energy of the place would be so much better !! – for this it is a loss of two stars – so important to have good friendly staff !!

On a wet rainy day, we were looking for a yummy hot roast. I did some googling and found this little hidden gem. The place was quite full on Sunday afternoon. We asked about what was the roast of the day and it was roast pork & veg but told there were 16 left and usually sell out. The lovely young staff member said he would come and tell us when they were almost sold so we wouldn't miss out as we were going to just sit for a little bit and enjoy a drink. To his word, he came back and said better order now, and we are definitely glad we did. Absolutely delicious roast, The pork was very tender and juicy, not dry, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection, not overcooked and soft. There was also a bread dumpling with it that was delicious. My only thing would be that I would have loved a little more crackling and apple sauce. But absolutely delicious Well done

Sensational food. Best pork roast I’ve had in a while. The chef must take a lot of pride in the preparation. The pork was delicious, the broccolini was cooked perfectly, the pumpkin was sweet and the crackling was perfect. The server was friendly and very attentive. I can’t wait to go back.

If you want an awesome meal, immaculate service & great vibes… Go here!! Best Irish style food I’ve had in a long time… that doesn’t break the bank! Live in Brisbane, but would definitely make the trip down for it!!

The location is very good, and the swimming pool is also very clean. The room is spacious and has everything you need. The staff is also very friendly. Although the water in the toilet is not enough, I still give it five stars.

Great little Irish pub. Kilkenny beer is perfect and a nice place to chill. Away from the centre of Surfers so a relaxed feel.

D'Arcy Arms is a easy little pub to call into and have a a reasonably priced feed and drink. Cozy atmosphere and good staff. We have returned several times. Only complaint is sometimes the live music is a bit loud.

Mediocre food, loud atmosphere. I am staying on a holiday and this was my choice of hotel. Every morning so far has been abruptly ruined by my neighbours, construction working, garbage trucks and car alarms every minute being here is a living nightmare. The way the pub is set is is terrible, the accommodation is far too close to it, so when drunken people start to jump around and yap, it makes trying to relax impossible. Not to mention the loud band. It’s not good to bring a minor to stay. I’m never booking here again.

Heard about for a long time, never been until today. Great place, kids loved it, great location. Food was spot on, plenty of drink choices too. Once my dad gets out here from the UK will be coming back for sure, if not, either way will be back!

Stayed here throughout our stay in Gold coast. Free parking provided. The receptionist and staff overall are friendly. It’s just that their reception is not 24 hrs. So you must inform them if you’re going to check out early a day before. Room is quite comfortable. The furniture a little bit classic but neat.Cons i found one cockroach in the room but taking into consideration how Australia coexist with animals so i thought it could be normal to have cockroach occasionally entering the room, I mean sometimes our clean house also got cockroach once in a while for as long as not the bunch of cockroaches then I think pest control should do something about it.Also there’s no do not disturb signage at the door so cleaner can simply enter your room even you do not prefer them to enter. Basically they dont really tidy up your bed just change the towels only.

Barmaid was bordering on “rude” too busy chatting to a local when I ordered drinks. She looked at me like I was a major inconvenience. Absolutely zero personality and customer service. The bar is too small and nowhere to sit only outside where plastic paddys were singing loudly . You seriously need to sort out that surly , stuck up young barmaid, replace her with the nice friendly more mature member of staff that was helpful. Couldn’t wait to get out of there!!

I was there for a mates birthday a couple of Sat nights ago. Nice little pub. Good service and they had a guy playing the guitar and singing who was brilliant. A great night. Will be back when next down the coast again.

Look I don't want to be a wet blanket, and I rarely if ever complain about food, but sometimes you need to wake up the management a bit. I was really looking foreward to my first meal at Darcy Arms with my 8 year old son, but left with both of us quite exasperated. I paid 42 for the medium sirloin and was expecting a quality cut to reflect the price, but it was literally the worst steak of my life. Reams of unchewable fat, tasted like it was saturated in lighter fluid, the mushroom sauce less than ordinary with one lonely mushroom. My son couldn't eat his kids menu burger which he said tasted worse than maccas. The only good thing I could say is the garlic bread and chips were nice as was the Guinness. But maybe my son and I just got unlucky as so many people seem to love the place. If it weren't for a decent fiddle player it would have been a completely wasted afternoon. I may give it another chance because the drinks and ambience were so authentic Irish but my first visit fell way short of my expectations.

If I see Killkenny on tap, I will always have one! The beer is fantastic and the food was delicious. We had snitzel, guiness pot pie and kids bangers and mash- all so good. Lovely staff and family friendly. Wish it was my local.

The people working at this motel and pub are all very friendly. The food at the pub and particularly the sirloin steak were incredible. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is amazing near surfers paradise and Broadbeach. However, the one negative thing about this hotel is that there is no wifi in the motel rooms.

We were lucky enough to have Christmas in July dinner at Darcy Arms. Great food and wonderful friendly service after pre-dinner drinks around the open fire in the bar. An oasis of genuine hospitality and Irish charm.

Good accommodation, clean, friendly staff. Rooms are air conditioned and have showers, a fridge and kettle, location so close to everything in surfers. Doesn't cost much and doesn't have security deposit, pretty much everything you need especially if you're just looking for a place to sleep after going out and doing stuff in the city during the day. Rooms are decorated well and modern, could use a bathroom update but other then that perfect, would definitely stay again!!

A mixed bag, with hidden gems! Room, basic but clean, comfortable bed. Friendly Staff. Off Street Parking. Sensational Food! Plus one of the best Guinness I’ve ever had! Great Location and the Tram close by. Overall, great value.

Clean. Comfortable. A little noisy. Close to the beach. Pretty much a standard Australian motel. The restaurant has ice cold beer and great food. Free parking in underground car park in an area where many hotels charge for parking. The beach is an easy ten minute amble away with miles of soft sand overlooked by skyscraper apartment buildings, the classic Surfers Paradise look. The tram goes past the front door.

This isn't the top, flashy, top of the comfort spot you can stay in goldcoast, but its very convenient, value for money and has a little old school charm to it. The deco, the beer deck, even the service has a feel of little cosiness. Food is great and not overly expensive, the kitchen even gave us free ice and parking is also free. Will be booking next time we go to GC.

The aircon does not work. Rang someone at reception. He said that nothing could be done till Monday . The aircon was stuck on 26 degrees. According to the test ticket on the plug it should have been tested last week and wasn’t. Then we couldn’t get wifi . When we asked about it one guy said that we could get in down by the bar . The other guy said that it was apparently all the advertising said that the wifi wasn’t available . It didn’t say that on the site I looked at.

We recently had drinks and finger food here for my husband's 50th after a restaurant lunch. From enquiry to event, exceptional service was provided and everyone had a great time. The staff were great and extremely accommodating, and the bar bites were delicious, even catering for our gluten, lactose and soy allergic guests. A huge thank you to the entire team!

Had the marinara pasta for $32 (seafood special), it had 3 prawns, 2 mussels one of which was raw (inedible) and a tiny amount of fish and calamari, the old standard in Gold Coast cooking? Don't bother, go somewhere else!

It was ok pub food, the slaw that came with the fish and chips was tasteless, but otherwise fish ok, chips ok but certainly not crisp on the outside and light fluffy inside. Beef and Guinness stew had strong flavour, mash wasn't so light and creamy but it was ok, vegetables were cooked well.

I've been celebrating with friends at D'arcys Arms for many years. I was organising a short stay and decided to try out the Wednesday special. My parmy was lovely. Kilkenny to wash it down. Always looking forward to another night. Great location. Close to the G for access along the coast. Short walk to the beach. Covered parking. Casino nearby. Pub at your door.

Great stop on our pubcrawl on the Gold Coast. Probably one of the more classic / iconic & authentic Irish bars I've been in years!

Great Irish pub. Live music. Good hearty food. Log fire. Guiness looked the real deal and many were drinking it so just be good.

Service was good, staff in general were nice.. saw an older lady cleaner be rude to a lesbian couple. Our room had a busted aircon unit so we got moved to a bigger room with plenty of space free of charge and really made a difference, slightly softer mattress although they are all firm. Pillows are comfy. Guiness pie, mash and peas $27 i felt was pricey but very enjoyable. Spa didn't work but drink prices reasonable. Would come again. Budget accommodation and worth it for the price.

So disappointed by our experience here,I have a health condition that doesn’t allow for me to eat onion with out having food poisoning symptoms and when I asked if I could order fish n chips with out onion they said’ no, I can’t do that’ The 4 of us ended up finishing our drinks n leaving to go have lunch else where. Unfortunately this is not an isolated incident of poor customer service from here
