The first thing that annoyed me was that I had to pay 13% surcharge for public holiday. The thali meal were tiny too. Taste is hopeless👎🏻.The seats isn’t good though looks terrible to sit, so I'd recommend that please don’t step in.

The staff are very warm, courteous and patient with every single customer. The decor is very interesting with the Reds and royal seats. Has interesting artifacts around the entire restaurant. On the walls, tables and near the door. The breads are fresh. The curries are not served piping hot but will feed someone really hungry who won't care of the temperature. Heaps of outside seating.

VERY OVERPRICED! FOOD POISONING! NOT FRESH! Not tasty! It was forty dollars for a small bowl of curry that was supposed to be a large. The curry barely even had any meat just broth. The tomato in the burger was mushy and an inch thick. The chicken tandoori was more like tandoori bones and it was very dry and bland. The staff members aren’t friendly. The worst part is that the whole family had very bad diarrhoea For three days. Great way to end our trip at the Gold Coast. The burger bun tasted very old and they forgot the rice which was very inconvenient and brought it after we realised it was missing. The place isn’t clean the tables were sticky. BIG NO!!

Not usually a lover of hot box food, but at Curry Express the curries in the boxes are hot & more importantly taste good. They are also inexpensive with some great special combos. Nothing fancy about the place what you see is what you get basically

This is by far the best Indian restaurant we’ve ever eaten at in Aus. The staff are very friendly and informative and the food is absolutely delicious and tastes so authentic. We ate here twice - once dining in and the other time getting take away and both times we received fantastic service and the quality of our meals was fantastic. Highly recommend the butter chicken if you like something mild, or the lamb rogan josh or beef vindaloo if you prefer something with more kick. The naan is also amazing.

I would never recommend someone. Their chicken biriyani is tasteless, and the Thali was even worse. The beef was hard as rock and barely cooked. They put zero effort on presentation. For a $45 meal overall, that's my worst food experience ever in Goldie.

The Famous Butter Chicken Mild was nice but it was a little bit sweet for my taste. The size of the drinks were kids size 😅 Overall, a nice place to grab some Indian cuisine in the area.

Good food, good hospitality and can get really crowded at times. We arrived like 20 mins after the morning breakfast menu's time was over but we requested them and they happily served us the breakfast menu, thanks for that

Worst Indian food I have ever had. The rice we had in the biriani was horribly thick, not tasty at all. Chicken curries were not good as well. Burnt oil smell was coming from the Samosa. Such a waste of money, lost my trust on googles reviews. Waiter lady was not welcoming ,seemed like she doesn’t like what she is doing.

We just stopped by for a mango lassi which was okay-ish and a masala chai which wasn’t upto the mark, couldn’t finish it. The tea could be better and the staff could be more welcoming overall to create a nice experience for the customers

Our dining experience at Curry Express has upon further comprehensive assessment, been indubitably sensational and quite frankly, exemplary. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, our nostrils were graciously greeted with attractive aromas that exemplified the richness of Indian culture and cuisine. As we initiated our orders, our food was delivered extremely quickly, which it made it clear that the people were fast, efficient and were beyond capable of proficiently following instructions. The food itself- a compositional masterpiece, that for every bite that was savoured, continued to push the culinary boundaries of what my taste buds thought was possible, in an unprecedented fashion. Thank you, Curry Express. Thank you.

It was delightful culinary experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with authentic décor. The menu featured a diverse range of dishes, each bursting with traditional flavors and spices. Service was attentive, and the flavors left a lasting impression. A must-visit for Indian cuisine enthusiasts.

It's my second time to visit for lunch. The last time was 3 or 4years ago??? I got takeaway today😋 I had Butter Chicken, chicken tikka masala and chicken korma. And some plain naan. They are nice but it's not going to be my favourite 😓 The edge of naan was under cooked😞 It's interesting that the same name of the menu but tastes a little bit different in each restaurant 😄 Friendly and very welcome service was so good🥰 Having here may feel hot at summer lunchtime 💦💦💦

Does the job when wanting a quick fix for a curry craving. Clean, fast, no fuss service. Rating 3 stars for food. Apparently the main chef is away which is disappointing. Samosas were tasty, naan bread was made fresh and curries were good, not great as last year. 3 stars for service as interaction was straight forward. Nothing great and nothing bad. 3 stars for atmosphere as it’s serves its purpose - has clean tables and chairs to sit and eat quickly and go. Nothing fancy or pretentious here and it’s not trying to be.

This place is ranked #1 for Indian food in the Gold Coast area on TripAdvisor for a reason! Butter chicken and Tikka Masala were delicious. The Garlic Naan was so fresh, and soft. The rice had a great aroma to it. No wonder the place was so packed with people. Will be there again tonight, and it’s a must try for anyone visiting Surfers Paradise!

Great for having halal food nearby the hotel but the taste and quality of food are unfortunately below average. The worst was that I couldn’t drink my indian tea after the first sip and our second batch order of butter Naan is “like a joke”. Even my four year old daughter rejected it. It was literally a plain naan taken from your serving table and then a spoon of butter being put on it. Other food we ordered were at best average only. For the amount we paid, we don’t feel we get the value we paid. Service speed was okay and environment was okay However unfortunately we can’t recommend this place to others.

Curry Express displayed an impeccable performance in quality throughout our satisfactory dining experience. An experience that left me lost for words in an unimaginable way nobody will ever be able to convey. The service was absolutely outstanding and complimented with excellent food, all while being achieved for flabbergasting low prices. The undeniable beauty Curry Express provided me on my delicious and diverse journey is unforgettable.

This is a hit or miss kind of thing. The other night I got rice and dal tadka as take away along with chholenbhature. Dal tadka rice was good (what could have gone wrong with it anyway) while my wife said she really liked the chhote bhature. The next dinner I had over there was spicy barramundi with rice. It was nothing less than disappointing. The barramundi was a thin slice and deep fried and pretty bland. Along with it came some onion rings and dhaal./ curry whose quantity was less than a sachet of ketchup. Quantity wise, it scores 3 of out of 5 and taste wise, 2 out of 5.

I like taste of meals, included quantity (fair enough for one person). However, garlic Naan was not really tasting garlic and it seems that was done for a long time before served it.

Great service - very friendly waiter that serves us. One person that takes the order, serves and run around helping other customers. Food was generally good. Prefer more spices, ask for more chillies and that does the job. Restaurant present to be quite clean.

The chola bhatura food wasn’t really good as though it would be. The taste of the gravy was very bad. Not nice at all.. I planned to eat chola bathura and thali meal, however immediately left the shop after eat the first order trial. Thank god I didn’t order it on the thali meal for myself. However my vegetarian friend ordered thali and it was so little..not worth it for the money we pay..

My husband and I had lunch at Curry Express, Surfers Paradise, and we think it has, hands down the best, most flavoursome, authentic Indian curries and amazing naan bread we have ever experienced. Heaps of Vegetarian varieties as well. Very delicious food in terms of quality and quantity. The food was fresh and properly prepared, and the service and value for money is well above average. I highly recommend it. All in all, a perfect place to enjoy delicious Indian food!! I highly recommend this restaurant. Excellent service, excellent food. Exotic and tasty dishes. Best naan bread and Perfect location. Definitely worth a visit!!

Waitress there is very rude, I found the groupon deal and brought it to them and the waitress said this is not the coupon here, and trying to kick me out, I was frustrated and I checked my phone again , ask her again and she said ,,, yeahyeah you can use this coupon here, and she saw me like such a beggar with groupon voucher, and I had beef vandaloo, beef was like a rubber and I was able to understand while I am chewing that, this is not the place for eating and tell you what just buy soft drink there, that's the only thing you can eat

We arrived at the establishment around 10:00 PM and ordered three non-vegetarian curries (2 chicken and 1 lamb), explicitly requesting a spicy preparation. Unfortunately, all the curries turned out to be sweet, and both chicken dishes were tasteless with undercooked chicken. When inquired about the spice level, the staff offered green chilies. Despite confirming that the naans were made in-house and tandoor-made, they were not. The overall experience left us disappointed considering the cost of the meal and the wait time for service.

Very delicious and very affordable curry. Came here twice during my trip with my partner and we were happy both times. The small curry with rice is just $10 but is just enough portion for us. They're open until midnight which is also a plus point.

The meal my family and I had was the worst ever. It was excessively sweet and didn't appear to be freshly prepared. We ordered and took away butter chicken, Shahi Paneer and Paneer Muttar , but all gravies were overly sweet. Nan was too thick. I strongly recommend not to even try. 5* Review Mystery to be unlocked.
