Pretty well run store for such a busy location. They have the largest range out all three supermarkets in Surfers Paradise.

Always love to shop in this store, it opens early and closes late and very handy. In my opinion it's the most diligent business in this lazy town LOL.

Not cool...1 that's ONE self-serve cash register yesterday lunchtime(ish) Not everyone wants to pay by Credit card. Regular shopper, happy with staff and shop but Credit Card only self serves...booooo!

I live across the street from this Coles and find it really convenient and mostly an enjoyable shopping experience. I know where everything is, the things I want are usually in stock and they have regular sales and specials that I take advantage of. It's also really handy that it's next door to a lovely newsagent, near a really nice chemist and medical centre, a bottle shop, CBA bank and several restaurants. The only downsides are it's a bit small and not one of the more spaciously renovated Coles on the Gold Coast, and...one older staff member who I will not name, but in the 5+ years I've been shopping here, I've observed her to be VERY slow on the checkout because she is constantly talking and not paying attention to what she's doing, she seems to fiddle with the items a lot so they get mixed up, she doesn't seem to listen to anything you say and often talks over you. When you look at the checkout lines, the longest one you just know it's her serving. She seems to create chaos and mayhem wherever she goes, and I've literally seen other staff members roll their eyes and make anguished facial expressions when they have to fix problems she's created on top of their own work. A few weeks ago, this staff member was aggressively rude and her manner towards my partner was, quite frankly, baffling. My partner has a hand injury and cannot carry too many heavy items. She always uses two canvas shopping bags, one over the shoulder for heavier items, and one carried by hand for lighter items. All the other lovely staff happily check how she wants her bags checked, and she even puts the items in the right order, ready to be packed easily into the right bags. This particular staff member repeatedly and loudly demanded to know which items went in each bag, and seemed unable to understand the concept, and then said she couldn't use the bags as they wouldn't stand up, so she just scanned each item and threw them down to the bagging area, leaving my partner to pack the bags herself. Then the staff member asked why my partner couldn't carry "normal" bags. When my partner explained briefly about her hand, the staff member said she should use her other hand and then insisted several times that she should use a backpack. During the slowness of the checkout process (as is usual for the staff member), the line was growing longer and longer and the staff member told them "We won't be much longer!" while glancing at my partner. She felt utterly humiliated. She already has PTSD from the source of the hand injury and doesn't need to be further triggered at the supermarket. Then, finally the ordeal was over and my partner went to leave, but the security scanner beeped. The staff member was now even more abrupt and rude, and said my partner's Kathmandu jacket "must" still have the security tag on it, and while actually touching the jacket, told my partner to go back to the store to get the tag removed, and that "all those expensive jackets set off the alarms". Really? Firstly, the jacket was not expensive. Secondly, there was no security tag left on it. Thirdly, that jacket was purchased 7 YEARS AGO and had been all around the USA and the UK with no problems at all. Lastly, it was then discovered that one item had not been scanned by the staff member and that was why it beeped. My partner got home and burst into tears. She felt harrassed, judged, humiliated, bullied and interrogated. The behaviour by this staff member was completely unacceptable.

Only 1 staff operated check out, however there is 12 items and less checkout 👍. so there trying to make you do there job and you use the self check out. Good luck finding staff to help whilst shopping. Fresh food vegetables are hit and miss. Pros - convenience in location and pretty good variety of food.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced from any coles store. Ive had previous issues with them before and had their customer service hotline involved but this time was the last straw. They sold my parents optus $30 recharge vouchers that don't exist anymore. My father went back to fix them and the customer service team refused even though it was their mistake

Perfect location. Right where my friends and stayed Chevron Renaissance Apartments. Handy, convenient had what we needed, impeccable service, clean, amazing staff, fast, efficient, no fuss. We are returning to the GC and we will be also returning to this Coles store to shop.

Great place to shop as it was under Chevron Renaissance where we were staying. Good wide variety of premade meals, could do with more staff serving instead of walking around.

Usually great. Don't come here on a Sunday night. They only have one counter open and the self check out conveyer belt is off, for some reason. The regular self checkout booths are completely overcrowded too! An absolute JOKE!

Top marks. Virety of fresh fruit and vegetables are plenty. Ready prepared summer salad meals are very good. Cakes!..

I am outraged at the treatment towards me. One of your staff named Brooke. She was very unprofessional and unfriendly towards me. I was wanting to buy an item and had asked her a couple of questions regarding it, as it was missing a part. Her responses were snappy and i really didnt appreciate her attitude towards me. I asked to speak to management however was told there was no management in at all. As I was walking away I saw they were laughing and making remarks about me. My friends had over heard them talk rudely about me and laughed at me. I am outraged and disgusted as this was very unprofessional.

Its worth going all the way to Australia just to eat the cookies here

Just like every other Coles I have ever been to. Clean store, big aisles, massive selection, everything relatively topped up, easy self serve checkouts and maybe 4 staffed checkouts, plenty of trolleys/baskets, and uniformed and well presented staff. Overall, exactly what you expect when entering a Coles Supermarket.

This is a large supermarket and it is finally starting to get stocks back to a reasonable level as for a long time you couldn't get many things. It's proximity makes it very handy for locals and tourists in the area but the prices are unnecessarily high.

Very lovely! One of the checkout ladies that was on shift (I didn’t get to see her name badge) was very open and talked and shared a laugh was very happy with the experience! Much more nicer where we live in Phillip islands Coles kudos team 😍

Large Coles with full range & convenient free undercover parking. Not a fan of the coin trolleys as bringing bags is already a chore. Please someone let me know how to get them for free without a coin as they are all still dumped on the street like this. Store opens early and closes late which is perfect for the area.

Good variety of groceries still available. When specials are on worth weekly grocery shopping

I have made several complaints to management regarding a coles employee named Margaret. She continually Coffs while serving customers. It's not very hygienic for this lady to spread coved 19, when she smokes 30 cigarettes a day.

Great variety of fresh food, toiletries and house cleaning products. Large and clean location. Good lighting. Large car park nearby.

Lovely organised shop, clean , great variety of lines and helpful staff.

We at the Queensland Country Womens Association (QCWA) Coomera Branch LOVE the Coles Surfers Paradise. They are the best! The managers are wonderful and their team is amazing. We have recently been gifted by this store gift vouchers to assist us to make our award winning scones and raise money for our projects helping women, children and the not so lucky, both here in Australia and South Pacific islands. Unfortunately due to the financial situation here in Australia, the prices in Coles has pretty much doubled. So, anything on special is what I'm buying right now. Meat, vegetables are ridiculously high.

Only bought raw beetroot. Hardly any left very small and were soft. Not fresh. Helpful assistant at self check out.

Quite the selection and variety of items in-store. Went to store after lunch so not too many people. Fresh bread baked on premises. Bright inside shop. Friendly staff.

Just dropped in again for supplies. Went thru the self checkout and had a issue with my first scan When I looked at the lady helping she came over and pushed something on the screen without saying anything. it was not showing up on he packed area... after she walked away... I still had the issue and she said.. in a "im a naughty boy tone " ... I told you what to do... pfft... she did not say anything... absolutely embarrassing... if she wants to stand there with her arms crossed and be unapproachable then she should work in a factory... not in customer service. . count her smiles today... she didn't want to be there... and I don't either
