The
good
points:
Service
was
quick,
bacon
was
crisp,
hashbrowns
crisp,
poached
eggs
were
cooked
just
right,
bread
was
good
quality
and
nicely
toasted.
Easy
breezy
sunny
atmosphere
by
the
broadwater.
We
came
here
on
a
very
last
minute
decision
and
although
the
breakfast
stack
we
got
was
pretty
good
(3.5
star),
I
couldn't
get
over
the
disappointing
and
distinct
taste
of
the
faux
hollandaise
sauce
out
of
a
jar/can/bottle.
A
breakfast
Cafe
should
prize
itself
on
making
it's
own
homemade
hollandaise
and
using
the
prepared
kind
just
ruins
the
flavor
and
freshness.
Especially
for
the
high
prices.
Even
in
roadside
diners
back
home
in
the
States
they
would
have
housemade
hollandaise,
so
there's
really
no
excuse.
The
other
thing
our
stacks
were
missing
was
a
2nd
egg,
I
understand
for
aesthetic
reasons
a
second
egg
would
"ruin"
the
stack
look,
but
when
dining
out,
all
breakfast
dishes
should
always
include
at
least
2
eggs.
It's
a
basic
unspoken
rule.
We
added
an
extra
egg
so
our
breakfast
ended
up
being
like
$26-$27
each
plus
the
price
of
drinks,
which
I
thought
wasn't
worth
it,
as
I
could've
made
breakfast
myself
at
home.
Not
to
brag
but
I
actually
make
an
awesome
American
style
brunch
dish
of
buttermilk
biscuits
topped
with
shredded
crispy
hashbrowns,
peppery
sausage
gravy,
spicy
salsa
poached
eggs
and
melted
cheese,
frequently
requested
by
friends
and
family.
