Visiting family on the Gold Coast from Toowoomba. Came here today for a casual visit. I assumed that because I have a current membership at World Gym Toowoomba I would be granted free entry or be subjected a small fee. They charged me $20 for a single visit which I thought was excessive. I was really looking forward to a workout so I coughed up the cash. After gaining entry I immediately noticed how run down the place looked, with old, poorly maintained equipment and damaged flooring and walls. At World Gym Toowoomba, sanitising wipes are provided and members are required to use these to wipe down equipment after each use, (on top of also using a towel). At Ashmore World Gym, there are a couple piles of paper napkins with a nondescript spray bottle of santiser next to them plus a few pump containers of alcohol gel but during my almost 2 hours there today I didn't witness any members or gym staff sanitising equipment between uses. Poor health practice given there is still a current pandemic. Overall the place has a sketchy, apathetic vibe. Would not recommend.

Would give zero stars if I could. Dealing with World Gym accounts is a complete nightmare. Have been a member for 5 years and when I asked to cancel the membership due to moving I am told 'sorry there needs to be a 30 day period for that' ...and then charged an additional three times. :-P Great work guys, keep it up!!

The staff are super accommodating (shoutout to Krystle) and will align themselves with your every gym needs. Facility is super clean, versatile, and spacious - everything you want a good gym to be. Pricing is also super competitive and best value for money when compared to competing gyms. World Gym Ashmore is an easy choice when selecting your gym.

Love this gym, it’s the best gym on the gc and i’ve been reluctant to review it because then everyone will want to go here. The equipment is perfect for bodybuilding and i’ve never had to ask for a new machine or piece of equipment because they’ve already replaced things well before any equipment may expire. Shoutout to Jaman for his outstanding customer service. He listened to some feedback and has since, made a positive change. I’ve got the fitness passport and have signed up to almost every gym just to try them out. This gym is the best gym closest to me.

Absolute disgrace! These people have no compassion and add money hungry. My dad experienced extreme financial hardship due to covid and was in a week to week no lock in contract. He advised that he was no longer wanting his membership to continue. Staff at front desk advised that this was completed and not to worry, 3 months later they blind sighted him with a debt collector. They have terrible policies that request cancellation fees even when not in a 12-24month contract. Tried to resolve the situation and when I became understandably upset at the lack of understanding was hung up on. Poor PR (Just to clarify I was just accused of swearing in reply below which never happened! I said I think it is bad business to Rort people! Which she then took offence to. I will record future conversations now that I can see you are liars also ! )

Not good! First of all, when I first joined my membership (about 6 months ago) I was told I had a free consultation with a personal trainer so I filled up the paper saying I was interested and I wished someone could show me how the machines work and I never got answers. Now almost after six months, I went overseas so I stopped my account for 3 weeks and guess what?! I was charged twice which I shouldn’t because no one told me it would cost any fees or whatever reason. I can’t wait for my membership finishes and cancel it!

Trialled the gym for a week, good atmosphere but near impossible to use the cables as they are either broken or in use (I blame the tik tok influencers for all the new “isolation” exercises). A couple more dual cable pulley stations would make this gym incredible.

If you are a FIFO worker, do not join world gym because they will tell you that they can put you on a FIFO schedule and then charge you a late fee for a payment. You didn't know that you were making because you've been away. If you would like to give back the 400 dollars you guys took while I was away and was unaware that you were taking it would make everything better

Horrible experience at the end of my contract... Because I left the country I had to pay 400 dollars to cancel mine and my partner membership which I never complained and paid because I had contract. However at the same day but AFTER I had my cancellation done, me and my partner had been charged one more week. No one never told me that it'll happen to aware me at least. When I realised that I paid one more week I contacted the gym to see what's going on. They just said that the payment was automatically even though I had made the cancellation earlier and they cannot give my money back without any reasonable reason. I talked with Tiama but she tried to offer reopening my membership for one more week even me telling her twice that I'm no in the country anymore. Pretty easy money.. very dodgy situation. Paid 400 dollars to cancel my plan and had them charging me again after my membership was cancelled..

This gym provides a well-equipped and clean space with friendly staff. Crowded during peak hours, but overall a good choice for fitness.

Great atmosphere. The people are fantastic, amazing customer service and the equipment is always tip top Ps. Nathan is the biggest bloke in the gym

It's OK, has everything you need but is very busy and not many people wipe the equipment down. Needs more space and equipment. I was hopeful that when the lighting store moved from next door that they would lease the property and extend it but unfortunately not.

Great gym! Love working out here with my friend and grabbing shakes on the way out! The violet crumble shake is the BEST!

Great gym with a good variety of equipment for resistance training. You won't see 50 treadmills here!!! (Thank gosh) Only thing that would make this place better would a REDUCTION in people! Trying to go during the day is a Joke when you can barely get around people and have to wait in line to use the benchs or racks...

I have just joined the Gym. The equipment is next level and staff was very welcoming and starting to workout tomorrow and I will update y’all after few days

Great gym, I like the variety of different classes. I also like that they have multiple of the same machines/equipment as well as a crèche ! :)

Great music to train to. Solid atmosphere. Best equipment just a little too much where its a bit crowded but besides that great gtm!

I got a 12 month membership that being a lock in contract. And that ended in 15th of march yet I am still being charged by the gym. When I specifically got told my lock in contract ends on the 15 of march one year! So I’ve called World gym Ashmore up to try sort things out and as soon as I get on the phone I’m greeted with rude customer service by maddy basically would not let me get a word out and when I did she would fire back with rude comments. (Would not recommend)

Fantastic gym with truck loads of equipment. Can get busy through peak times.

Awesome facility - caters for all types of fitness needs - and flies the flag high for the quality of the World Gym brand.

This gym has it all. Friendly staff, all the machines you need, affordable prices (quote June 2022 17.95 per week for a year), all classes included in weekly prices, crèche for parents, and location is great with permanently available parking and 24/7 access. The only reason to not come here is if you cannot stand posers (they are just people though you know?). There are many here and if that sort of thing bothers (but again like why? Just leave them be) you then this is not for you. If you are not bothered (because you managed to just let them do their job), this is the best gym on the Coast. If you know a better one, please reply here and I will check it out and review it.

Yesterday Was my first day at the gym, and it was amazing , the gym was lit got everything needed from a beginner to a Competition Level Bodybuilder plus the staff is super friendly and supportive and guess what the membership fee is also so reasonable.

I've been coming to the gym for about 6 months and have seen good work ethic around. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The 24 hour access along with the fitness classes available apart from the machines is very promising. Give it a try and see how you go!

The atmosphere is nice and the work ethic of the people coming to the gym is commendable. Extremely helpful staff and a great space to workout. I would recommend this as a good option if you are looking for a gym. They have options for classes such as HIIT, boxing, Pilates, GRIT, core etc. The place is worth a try if you're skeptical about how you'd go.

I have trained here for 9 years and I honestly won't train anywhere else! Everyone is very friendly and supportive, from the staff to the members. This gym has the best equipment.

They were open Christmas Eve and permitted casual visits! So big win there. They have just about every piece of equipment you would want or need. With many lifting platforms and more than enough dumbbells. They also sell delicious shakes that actually cover your macros well. Only flaw I found is the mobility area is kind of an afterthought. There's not much going on in there. I like to mobilise before and after.

While visiting gold coast I had quite a few training sessions at world gym Ashmore. They were very friendly & accomodating! Staff went above & beyond. A lot of good equipment & good gym atmosphere. One off visit is $20

Worst customer service ever! Visited the place to get a membership but the staff was very rude to us and didn’t show the place around and told they cant show it and cant take a picture of the membership rates that was kept there. I will never recommend anyone, my friends and family to join this place.
