I had an upper GI endoscopy and a colonoscopy yesterday morning at the Varsity Lakes Day Hospital and had a pleasant experience. I was very nervous about having anaesthetics for the first time but the friendly staff took all of my concerns seriously in a professional manner and made me feel very reassured and comfortable. I cannot remember the procedure at all and woke up without any pain. 10/10 experience and if I had to get the procedure done again I’d ask to come back to this hospital 😊

I went there on 1/10/21 for a procedure and as soon as I arrived I felt comfortable and ready for my appointment. The staff were friendly and helpful, funny and very easy to talk to. The Whole experience was as enjoyable as I could expect. The Medical staff as well as front desk were more than happy to help me and I found the day went smoothly .The Medical staff were Totally Professional and Proficient. I left feeling well and relieved that I had my procedure there, I couldn't recommend the Centre Highly Enough. Thank you.

I had surgery 2 weeks ago. I had a warm welcome and the overall experience was outstanding! I had a feeling that I was in a wellness centre!! Before surgery the very friendly nurses and doctors made sure that I’m 100% comfortable. The warming blanket was the highlight for me, I have never felt so pampered before. Even minutes before surgery I wanted a procedure done which wasn’t on the plan and I thought it was to late, but I told the anaesthetist about it. The anaesthetist went straight away with my request to the surgeon and he came 2 minutes later out with the consent form. I can’t put in words how happy I was. After surgery once I woke up, I was in pain, they gave me pain relief instantly. I had some coffee and a very delicious sandwich with was cut in 4 and every piece was different! Shortly after I was explained all the discharge notes and I was released home. The next day I received a phone call from the hospital for a check up. It’s just amazing. Thank you very much for this great experience!!!

With public health and hospitals like this one you don't need to have private health insurance the staff and surgeons are the best people I have ever met they looked after me so well I thought I was in a medical resort thanks so much 🙏 and God bless you guys

I had an easy time with staff members, doctors and nurses so attentive and helpful . It makes such a difference when people around you in the hospital are cheerful and friendly and this was exactly what I experienced. Truly thankful for the great team who helped me.

I came here a week ago for a D and C procedure as I was going through a slient miscarriage. First pregnancy, child was very much wanted, I am heart broken etc.. first off the male gynae team were very dismissive and treated me like the procedure was a very quick in and out. I believe he was the gynae assistant said to me that it is so common and I won't be the only one this day but he said in a "it's no big deal, you ain't special" manner . And the main one had a go at me for being a nail biter right as they put me under, makes me wonder how my body was treated. I was in a horrible place mentally and you all treated me with little empathy. The lack of care and education on women's health is getting out of hand. After the procedure it was all rush to get me out and only on paracetamol(ugh yeah that doesn't cut it, I mentioned my endometriosis and plevic floor neuropthay). Week later they call with test results they did on the tissue for usual things like cancer.. But the nurse tells me they missed it. Didn't get all it out!!! What the F!! This is trumatic enough, and I went through that humiliation for nothing.

5 stars!! I had a laparoscopy on Friday. It was my first surgery and as you can imagine I was very anxious and honestly terrified about the whole thing. From the moment I walked in the doors every single nurse/doctor/anesthetist/ administrator was beyond kind, calm and informative. I can not thank the team enough for being so amazing throughout the whole process and making me feel at ease. Thank you so much for everything you do, I can’t recommend this hospital enough 🤍🤍

Everyone was so kind and meticulous to me, who was anxious before the surgery. My English was a little poor, but there was no problem, and I received great consideration while staying in the hospital. I came back home very healthy. Thank you so much.

I had an exam in the endoscopy department this morning and everyone delivered the gold standard of medical care. This is mainly thanks to the staff: everyone brings the positive vibes, ensuring you feel relaxed, safe, and cared for. I've never seen such a consistent level of care in a hospital setting, and I feel super lucky that I was referred here for my procedure. I felt a migraine coming on due to the 'nil by mouth' instructions, and everyone took extra care to ensure I was able to ward the pain off. A special shout out to KC (Casey?, my birthday neighbour) for being a pocket-rocket cheerleader - I'd like to have her come support me through other areas of my life, please. If you're referred to Varsity Lakes Day Hospital, consider yourself lucky!

I cannot thank these Nurses and doctors enough! My mother had to have surgery here and she was so well cared for. Everyone was so nice to her. As I waited the lovely man at the door took time too keep myself updated and help ease my anxiety. It's spotlessly clean and everyone is friendly and professional. Thank you all the Nurses and Doctors again for helping my mother.

I had a colonoscopy there on Friday and it was a terrific experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly and helpful, the facility was immaculate and well run, and the care was amazing. Highly recommend.

Tim the check in man is amazing!! Thank you Tim for helping me get my anxiety under control. My daughter and I arrived with a bit of anxiety this morning, he must have picked up on this. He was so compassionate and understanding and made sure we were okay before we began the check in process. He even remembered me when I come to pick her up and made sure I was feeling okay and told me to wish my daughter well as he was about to clock off.

Absolutely fantastic staff, talked you through everything they were doing, very happy staff and loved a joke and a chat. They make sure you are very comfortable and relaxed. So caring and nothing is too much trouble. They truly are heroes. Amazing staff from the reception area, all the nursing staff, the doctors and the surgeon. Can't praise Varsity enough. Thank you

Have been told since the most horrific birth of my child they can't help. Now my uterus is falling out. But there's nothing wrong with me. I haven't been able to sit for almost 5 years. Can't pick up my child. Qld health and every doctor I've dealt with at the hospitals. You're all horrible and need retraining. GCUH RUINED MY LIFE. and varsity day hospital you just so slack. I have been trying to get fixed for years and you've failed me . Shame on you all

I had a great experience of having a day surgery with your professional lovely staffs and doctors . Although it was hard to have them reached me out through our phone calls the day after surgery (post opt) or the day before it happened , and it was like 2,5 hours to wait until the day surgery executed . However I’m not here for complaining at all xx I’d like to thank you for the help and I appreciated all your dedication, compassion and kindness, we really all know you’ve been doing your best and you really are superstars, looking forward to review my progress

I attended the Varsity Lakes Day Hospital 22/11 for a colonoscopy. First time and I was nervous. From the moment I arrived at reception at 6.50am to when my lift home came at around 11.30 am., other than the time I was under anasthesia I experienced nothing other than professsionalism, friendliness, empathy for my nerves, and warm genuine smiles from all I came in contact with, from front office staff, to nurses, doctors and all others involved. Not forgetting to mention the cleanliness of the facility. If I could award 10 stars I would. Top effort from all and I thank you most sincerely.

Went in this morning for Upper GI and Colonoscopy( prep was traumatic), from the ladies at reception, Nurses, Theatre staff and Drs, the whole procedure was professional and, more importantly, caring. I was very anxious, but the compassion I was shown was 2nd to none. If these procedures need to be done again, I know where I'll be going. Awesome people & a really lovely atmosphere. I couldn’t be happier. I was there today for pre-op and the nurses and doctor actually read my file. They saw that I was autistic and have anxiety/panic attacks so they were all really kind and spoke gentle. They couldn’t have been more accommodating.

Well looked after there. Basically got straight through and only a wait less than 10 mins. Filled in paperwork and then straight through to ultrasound. Great service!!

Went in for some pelvic work, staff were friendly and professional and laughed when I joked I should have booked in for a Brazillian wax as they were putting me under. I might be biased because I quite enjoy visiting the hospital (it's where I first met all my beloved siblings!) but I felt safe and well cared for even though I only went in for a day surgery.

I have been at this hospital a few times and although I waited longer than usual to have the surgery, 😩 all the staff who looked after me were absolutely amazing! 🙏😍

I had a Colonoscopy here and the experience was comfortable & I can't remember a thing about it. The Staff & everyone was very reassuring and make you very relaxed. I do recommend keeping up your water intake cos I was dehydrated & it was hard to find a good vein. Drink heaps of water , as much as you can handle. Of course the Prep is the worst but mine was relatively easy & pain free. I want to go here again for my next one 👍. Great place .👌

You couldn't fault the staff of this hospital, with their professional approach to their work and patients my worries about my procedures were put aside as soon as I walked through the doors keep up the terrific work thank you

I attended today and was extremely impressed. The hospital facilities are first class. The staff are amazing. I was made to feel important, welcome, a person. Also all staff went out of their way to listen to me, Talk, discuss and reassure me. The care and consideration shown towards patients was immense. 🙏👏👍 Thank you each and everyone. Today I had occasion to have a procedure done at Varsity Lakes Day Hospital and I cannot speak more highly of the admitting staff, nurses, doctors and after care staff. Their kindness, professionalism and care was amazing. You would not have received better care at any Private Hospital. 💥
