A history of poor leadership. The owner (Steve) needs to pay his workers the Superannuation they are owed. He has “borrowed” money from affluent vegan activists within Gold Coast community and has unfortunately ghosted them, stealing from the generous vegans within the community who helped support this once dominant vegan bakery. A string of controversy surrounds the recent “temporary closure for renovations”. A soft exit strategy to run from his loyal staff and from the debts owed, no doubt. Just as he did in New Zealand. This bakery isn’t what it used to be and has unfortunately been going downhill for many years.

2 stars for creativity, disappointed for my mum, she paid $100 for a burnt, dry sponge cake for my birthday. As cutting the cake it collapsed, the top layer was rock solid & burnt. The service was pretty average.

I wish I could say good things about this place but it breaks me heart that I have to say otherwise We all know how hard it is to find vegan places to eat. I had high hopes, we where super excited as all items on display looked good and inviting, we ordered heaps, how disappointing to find out that ever single pie was raw inside. Men, serving raw pies is simply unacceptable, that can make you very sick. Clearly novice cooks as they don't even know the difference what is good and what should be discarded, I m surprised that no one else complains about it. So wrong, we spend $90 on mostly pies and few pastry, all pies had to go to the bin, pastries were ok, nothing extra ordinary, dry heavy doughnut with flavourless icing, pecan pies tasked like sugar and nothing else, disappointing as well. To top it up service girl was not switched on, borderline rude over all if I could I would give zero stars

Alyssa baked me this beautiful birthday cake for my mum’s 50th and some lovely cupcakes ! The price was really reasonable considering it was all vegan, hand made and designed. She was super nice and helpful I would definitely recommend and will be ordering again. I would like to point out that I’m the only vegan in my family and whenever I order food from here they all love it. ❤️

Love my savouries and there's plenty of choice here for sure. Plenty of sweeter things too if that's your thing. Big shout out for the awesome service today. Someone took photos of what they had and sent them to us so we could send to the kids in quarantine to make their choices. They were really busy when we went to collect so super appreciate them taking them time to do that 👍👍👍 P.s. this is a vegan establishment but you probably already knew that 🙂

All vegan bakery, what more could one want or need?! The food is epic and the staff are kind and genuinely hold a lovely conversation with you. We ordered a birthday cake last week and it was massive, definitely more than 10-12 slices I asked for which was a nice suprise. I've had their potato top pie, vanilla slice and some of the fudgy sorta slices and they've all been amaze. Definitely recommend this place!

Have heard raves about this place and finally had the opportunity to try some of the delicious items on your menu. The custard doughnuts were to die for, all of my friends scoffed these down. Unfortunately, the pull apart was a little bland and the server was unenthusiastic to be there, but, that will not stop me from coming back for some other treats.

Huge variety to choose from! Top picks: cheesecake, cream donut, curried 'egg' sandwich and custard tart! Less impressive was the lamington (too dry) and vanilla slice (custard had a strange texture) Awesome to see a fully vegan bakery with a huge range and with good price range!

Great concept and selection of food, but it all just tastes of sugar and margarine. The best I’ve had is their Sausage roll, which has a little flavour, but is nothing to rave about. Everyone who raves about this place has surely never eaten before. Ever. Or they’re deluded for whatever reason 🤷‍♂️ Edit to reply to owners comment: I’m a long time vegan with worldwide experience. Though, that should not matter at all. Vegan or not - great tasting food is important.

Great vegan bakery that you would not have noticed if you walk pass. The shop should put a big sign saying vegan friendly or something like that. Great vegan products out there.

Absolutely amazing! First timer here, and we will certainly be back! Caramel tart was a bit to sweet, partner and I shared it but still couldn't finish it all. Perhaps a bit more of the 'cream' on top to help cut through the sweet. Pies tasted like meat pies, beautiful!

This is a must stop place for vegan brekky goods on the way to the Gold Coast. They have a huge range of sweet and savoury items to choose from. The sausage rolls are the best I’ve had and their ham and cheese croissants are delicious. I’ve been here a handful of times already and will continue to make the stop in whenever I’m driving past.

Your friendly neighbourhood bakery only completely vegan! The best! We had the chicken curry pie, potato and cheese pie, apple turn over, sausage roll, choc donut and strawberry donut and it was all fantastic! Staff are amazing, friendly and helpful!

A good range of classic Aussie bakery treats, made vegan. We always stop by here on the way down the coast. Pies can be hit or miss with the pastry but I've liked most items - other savoury bakes, doughnuts and tarts. Customer service is adequate.

As a long time vegan I enjoy the pies, pizza and savoury bread. The one improvement I hope is made is that plant-based/vegan food should be healthy as well as delicious, and I don't think the sweet options meet that criteria. I would like an apple pie which is 80% apple. Fruit strudel, fruit trifle, a very nutty baklava, fruit and nut muffins - these could be low sugar healthy options.

Never been to a vegan bakery before. Was recommended this bakery from a family member. Went yesterday afternoon before closing. The lady that served us was lovely. She even gave us extra. Cakes and donuts are delicious.

The most amazing vegan bakery I have ever gone to. There is so much to choose from that its crazy. It was packed and the staff were very friendly. A great place to stop on the way to the beaches or the Gold Coast. Highly recommended.

The best vegan bakery! Huge variety to choose from and food has always been amazing. Would love to see them expand in the future or even offer coffee. Can't go past this bakery without stopping in :)

We've gone to Flour of Life practically every time we find ourselves passing through the Gold Coast. Could not recommend them more, they are hands down the best vegan bakery in Australia. Whether you have a sweet tooth or are seeking something savoury, there's something here for you. My mouth is already watering thinking about it.
