Iā€™d give this place zero stars if I could. Like most libraryā€™s, they accept book donations, but they donā€™t take old textbooks, which is fine. But the older lady with long dark hair was so rude about it. Immediately gave me an attitude when she saw a textbook in the mix and then kept insisting that they were all textbooks while referring to some of the books as textbooks that clearly were not. When I tried explain that they werenā€™t all textbooks she said, and i quote, ā€œI donā€™t have time to stand here and we need our cart back.ā€ Iā€™ve never been treated so rudely by library staff. Then she continued her attitude and her rudeness and insinuated that I was going to try and steal their cart. This whole interaction could have gone much better. She did not have to be rude about it. I will NEVER go there for anything again. If you want to donate old books, take them to a church.

LOVE THIS LIBRARY!! I have been coming in since I was a little kid. They have so many wonderful programs, classes, and events - most are free. You can check out books, cds, so many things. It's comfortable and familiar-like a warm family hug. Check them out! **Did you know you can check out FREE parking passes for State Beaches and parks. The Goleta Library is awesome!!

The staff are generally helpful and nicešŸ™‚ However, they allow people talking on phones and other conversations; even amongst themselvesšŸ˜’ Libraries are supposed to be quiet time for research and studyingšŸ¤« Also, the aggressive way they tell you that they are closing: the annoying flickering lights and staff walking around reminding you every five minutes after, plus someone at the front desk announcing the closure as wellšŸ™„ Please bring peace and quiet back to the libraryšŸ¤šŸ™‚

Unfortunately their study tables are often dirty while their staff are sometimes rude. Especially a few of their senior lady librarians. On the other hand their book collection is interesting and most of the staff is friendly and professional but one bad apple is enough to make you run for the garbage can

Everyone is nice and helpful. They have a large selection of books, magazines, DVDs, games, and many more things. It's clean, but it is a bit dark inside.

A wide choice of books, ample parking and a bicycle rack, and the staff is very nice and friendly.

Wanted to print index to sequel book. Librarian"s instructions were for me to use one of their computers to log into to email myself what needed to be printed to print it from one of their computers. I didn't have cell with me... in car .. 15 min limit on computer. I couldn't verify my email address without phone.. my password for recovery email acct didn't work.... She could have just let me email it to her computer and printed it out like other libraries do. Am traveling around country finishing book. There were plenty of librarians there.... Nice facilities .. poor customer service... No index printed...
