I had the best diving experience with Ravi & the crew when I got my PADI Open water certification last week. They were friendly and flexible with my dive times and the course material completion which I appreciated. Their instruction was great and I felt very safe diving. Ravi was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about diving, and made me feel comfortable in the water. He always asked if I was okay and kept an eye on tank levels and was very responsible. Having an instructor that made me feel comfortable was very important to me because I have anxiety and had only ever snorkeled once in my life. But the whole experience went smoothly! And everyone there was very friendly and helpful. Some examples of their kindness are that I am recovering from a herniated disc and they helped carry my gear to and from the boat. I also found one of the regulators a little stiff/hard to breathe from, and Ravi even let me use his own regulator. I would recommend this team & Ravi for any foreigner (I am American), solo female traveler included, for instruction in diving. Thanks again!

The Best place to dive! I came after a recommendation for an introductory dive and continued to one star. An extraordinary experience in an excellent location with crazy reefs, and above all dear Ravi and his diving team who were super nice, caring, funny and gave the best and safest feeling there is! Highly recommend coming especially if it's your first time!!!

Did my open water license here and never regretted it. The team is super friendly, speak good English and are super flexible. I had some problems with ear pressure one day - no problem, the other dive of the day was postponed till I would feel better. Ravi, my dive master, is a real professional who makes one feel very comfortable and safe in an unfamiliar underwater environment.

We've made here Open Water Certificate - everything was tiptop. We highly recommend Ravi - he speaks very good english and has a lot of patience, he explained us how we should behave in different situations. We've rescheduled some of dives cause of health conditions and it wasn't problem at all. All the crew which is working here also helped us a lot and they were always close so we didn't feel lost even for a second. If you want to learn how to dive and make your first step in underwater world it is the perfect place to start.

We loved doing our PADI open water course here. The team are extremely friendly and professional we were greeted with big smiles every day. Ravi our dive master was a great teacher and he made us feel very safe in the water taking his time to make sure we were ok, they took their time to make sure the dive sessions were the best they could be for us during our stay. I would recommend this dive centre to anyone wanting to dive in Sri Lanka and if we are ever back in Sri Lanka we will definitely come back.

Super Diving place! We shopped for a good place like we always do and end up choosing International Diving School because we liked the vibe, the professional attitude and the way the place was. So glad we did! Everyone working there was so kind, professional and welcoming. Their gear is in good condition, the place is user friendly and they offer good service. (For reference, my boyfriend is a rescue diver with 100+ dives, and I’m advanced with 30 dives). We loved the dive master, Amil. He’s very professional, excellent diver. We felt secure and confident with him. He’s so good at spotting all the sea life, even the tiny little creatures (nudibranch, micro scorpion fish, etc). He’s proactive and so fun to dive with. Thanks to all the team! We definitely recommend this shop for your Hikkaduwa travel.

I just completed my Open Water Certification course here and couldn't recommend this company enough. Everything was well organized, safe, efficient, fun, and exciting. Ravi was my head dive instructor who did an amazing job leading me through all the steps including course work, skills, dives, and exam. The crew was equally awesome who helped a ton throughout the week. Highly recommend IDS for anything diving related!

Did a beginner dive with them and was an awesome experience. Team is nice, friendly and it seems they are having a lot of fun and passion with their work ☺️ My dive instructor Kalu was super patient with me and calm. Made two dives at this diving school. One at Godagala and one at Conch Oil Tanker. Compliments to the entire team who I think enjoy their job a lot. Special compliments to Amil. Amazing crew, very friendly and focus on clients best interest. Have clean bathroom to change good facility. First they train you in shallow water so you can get use to the equipments and give you professional tips how to manage. For deep dive they guild you through Corel reef for 30 mins where you can spot exotic fishes n colorful Corel. Regarding scuba spot Hikkaduwa is best in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended to choose International diving school. Kudos to RAVI and thanks to the team.

So happy about choosing this school. It was my first time diving and I will for sure always remember it. The staff was so nice and caring, always there to help me out. Amin was my instructor and he was the best! I have to admit I was a little anxious at first, but with him everything went perfectly smooth! Even if the weather conditions weren't the best, I enjoyed every second here. Super recommended. Excellent place, excellent people and excellent rates!

I found this place because of their good reviews and rating, and I can say with confidence that they are totally worth it. Although I don’t have too much diving experience, I felt welcome there. My divemaster Amil made my diving experience seamless and enjoyable. Furthermore, the equipment was nice and the dive logistics was easy, because their boat was close to the HQ. If you want an enjoyable diving experience near Hikkaduwa, this is the place.

It is great place to learn diving. They teach you from the scrap..I believe more srilankan should do . My daughter got her padi licence and they were very patiently teaching her and extremely friendly staff specially Sachin, Ravi,Amila , Ishan, Udayanga,Kalu ,Sarath and all others. I every single second. Their training is so thorough and precise. I will recommend this place to all srilankan ladies... Thank you again...

Great dive school. I did my open water certification here. My instructor was Ravi, who was fantastic. His teaching was excellent, and he emphasised important elements of the course, to ensure we understood the “why” and not only the how. He was extremely flexible and accommodating, taking us to some fantastic dive sites, and teaching us at a pace which suited us. I would highly recommended this school, and in particular Ravi.

My family and I went diving with the International Diving School Hikkaduwa. It was truly a great experience, and they had everything well organized. As a beginner, I felt safe with my instructor, Amil. He was excellent at both reassuring and guiding me while showcasing the beautiful corals and fish in the ocean. We (my brother,my daughter, my niece and my self) had amazing experience of scuba diving at Hikkaduwa area last Friday. We were given good dry lesson on diving theory and on equipment first, and then had a good shallow diving to make sure we understood and were able to practice all the necessary life saving techniques. Then we were taken to deep ocean in a boat and we did the "fun" diving. Each of us had our on coach and they were all very professional, respectful, and courteous.My coach "Kalu Malli" made sure I'm safe and secure in the deep waters.
