This is by far one of the loveliest cafes in Gothenburg. I myself am not a coffee drinker but while vacationing I like to sample the local coffee, if you’re a coffee lover this place will not disappoint. If you’re looking for a place to relax and read some novels or people watch this coffee shop is your place! The ambiance of this shop was so relaxing, it’s just beautiful inside. They do have a variety of food and drinks you can select from. I ordered the smoothie, it was tasty. We ordered a strawberry shortcake to go as a gift for our relatives and it was delicious. The prices are fair for the size and quality of food you’ll receive. Definitely a must see while in Gothenburg!

Very charming bakery/café...old familydriven bakery started in 1962. Very good cakes, lunch and breakfast can be bought here. They make excellent coffee and smoothies too... Very highly recommended😋

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I stumbled upon Brogyhellen Hamngatan during my recent visit to Gothenburg, and it turned out to be an absolute delight for my taste buds. This cozy little spot is a haven for cake enthusiasts! The variety of cakes they offer is impressive - from classic favorites to unique creations, there's something for everyone. I couldn't resist trying a few, and each bite was a heavenly experience. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was as delightful as the taste itself. The atmosphere at Brogyhellen Hamngatan is warm and inviting. It's a perfect place to unwind with friends or family. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Brogyhellen Hamngatan for a sweet treat and a great time. This place has earned its spot as one of my favorite cake destinations in Gothenburg!

Poor service, rude cashier, poor order system, okey food quality, won’t back again. Went there for lunch, ordered pasta and soup and waiting for around 40mins, no food, so I ordered something else(cold shrimps), we finished the cold food still no lunch, so I trying to cancel the lunch order, get refund or gift card and no response. They told us our lunch soup were in trash bin. Outside view is great, but no offer any blankets in the cold wind, poor service again, so we go inside later.

one of the best Cafés in Gothenburg. The atmosphere is pleasant, there are comfortable sofas and chairs inside and some tables/ chairs outside. Everything I tried was delicious. The only problem is that sometimes the queue is long because the place is always full.

Amazingly fresh and tasteful pastry. Very kind and pleasant staff. They packed one slice of my truffle cake in this fantastic box with a ribbon. I find that an awesome customer service. Thank you. :) <3

Overrated and overpriced! We went there looking for the best cinnamon rolls in Gothenburg, not only were they dry but also the sugar on top tasted as cleaning product (maybe it had mentol or something like that). I wouldn’t recommend it.

This is probably a 5 star place for all those people who love the sound of trams, chatter, traffic and everything noisy... but for those who rather have some quiet I recommend air pluggs or noise cancelling airphones so you won't miss out on this great place that has yet to dissapoint me. It has really tasty pasteries, a great breakfast and lovely view (outside). The decor is pretty ok too and has a nice feel to it. The prices may not be cheap but you get pretty good value for money both quality and quantaty wise.

Great location. The cafe has very good dessert options. I had been there for breakfast and it was a very good healthy breakfast. A must-go place for desserts

We were there on a rainy, busy Sunday afternoon. The chai latte and räksmörgås were absolutely delicious (and very filling)! Points off for nobody cleaning the tables between guests, but given how busy they were, it was understandable.

It’s decent but not impressive. Slightly expensive and the food is average. Cinnamon rolls taste like average cinnamon rolls, and the cakes are not spectacular. It’s a bit crowded as well.

it was pretty hot inside with decent drink choices. a lot of the slice cakes were gone when we came around 3 pm, so coming pretty quickly would be better. the cake itself was pretty delicious with the light cream and bits of hazelnut throughout. when you ask for tea, they give you the whole teapot with a mug. they also have free self-serve water on the side.

The place offers various foods for lunch and fika with an affordable price. I had one semla here for 55kr. The taste was good, the cream has a “rum” aftertaste and the size was big, but it’s not that special. Would love to come here again to try the other pastries!

My absolute favourite bakery in Gothenburg. If you want to visit on the weekend have some patience, it‘s always very well visited. It is amazing food, amazing sweets and very nice inside.

Awesome breakfast, brunch and fika place in the central area of the city! Been a customer for many years and love it. I also love the floral themed uniform of the personnel and the ambience. Makes me feel a little spring like even in winter when am there! :)

Amazing cakes!! Service is poor. I was patiently waiting for someone to take my order, when it was my turn, the cashier and I had eye contact, she just went a head and help someone else and I had to wait again. SUPER POOR SERVICE!! Teach your employees how to treat people.

Great place. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely hot chocolate. My Swedish is non existent and they looked after us so well. Enjoyed the chocoladboll. Free refills on coffee was also nice although not sure if that's only off-peak. Also some free slices of bread (welcome but rather random). Anyway this place looks good, has lovely food, and outstanding staff. Brilliant. Will be back when I'm next in town. Only thing I wish is it opened later than 7pm but we can't have everything. Great job folks.

The strawberry tart was good. Ice latte were okay. But the environment wasn’t that well and was kind of dirty.

Amazing cakes (a lot of traditional ones), very friendly staff, good prices (around 4,70€ pro slice of cake), very cosy. Place to be!

We went here to try the legendary Princesscake (Prinsesstarta) in Sweden. It was very delicious. The staff was nice and the location is also very good. The Café was very busy, that’s probably why the tables were a bit dirty. But everything else was good!

Nice personal, but very few options to choose from. Maybe because it was a Sunday? I don’t know. I was hoping to eat a princess cake but there wasn’t any. Got a brownie instead and it was good, but not excellent. Glasses to pick up water were dirty. So they came with newer ones and they were still dirty. I work in a restaurant, so my tip is to rinse the glasses before putting them on the dishwasher, otherwise they will still be dirty. The bathroom is also very small, which is not so nice cause the place is almost always full. Nice local and fika, but kinda of overrated considering all that I mentioned. Didn’t have a good first impression, unfortunately.

Located in an old building with a beautiful interior design you will find wonderful, tasty classic, Swedish fika! Very friendly staff even if the place is full. A must visit when in Gothenburg!

For those who dedicate sometime to the challenge of the hunt for the “The Perfect Kanelbulle”, should indulge yourself to visit this place. This place is a real point to visit, the service is good, accommodations are comfortable, not so crowded. The place offers a variety of sweets for the Fika time. Try the Prince’s Cake! The coffee is very good and the hot chocolate.

Lovely bakery in the city centre. Had a delicious sandwich for lunch followed by local saffron flavoured desserts. Would definitely recommend it. Staff was very friendly.

Centrally located café, plenty of good pastries baked at a central bakery owned by the cafe itself. Family run business with many young employees. Good coffee and popular breakfast. The downside is the hygiene/cleanliness. You can sit indoors and outdoors. Near the ocean and the canal. Accessible from Domkyrkan or Brunnsparken. Well worth a visit.

Would be have gotten 5 stars if not for the weird fact that they want to avoid allergies in food but allow dogs which many can be allergic to. Otherwise great place to eat. Very busy
