The best time to visit is in morning or before sunset for best views and yeah sunny day is must because nice weather counts most for good views. The visit was just awesome. The best views of Munich city above the ground 200 meters were incredible. Even you can enjoy alps on top of that tower. It is television tower which you can climb by elevator. It was built in 1972 for Olympic. Had amazing time there but my bad luck because mobile dead for shooting nice views 😢

The overwhelmingly positive reviews should already make you visit this place, and this opinion will be no different. The view is absolutely amazing, with the city, the Olympiapark and the Alps so clearly visible! I must however admit, that it’s a much better experience in the warm months, than in the cold ones, due to the upper area of the tower being open. The lower part is great, but it’s the open part above it that makes the difference. The Tower is also covered by the City Pass, so if you’re on a “discover Munich” journey, think about it. :) The place is also accessible by wheelchair, that’s a big plus. Absolutely recommended!

Magical view and beautiful panorama of most of the territory of Munich. The price may be a bit expensive, but because of that you get an unusual experience and a moment that you will remember for a lifetime. The whole complex of the Olympic Park looks so small, as if you have the feeling that in front of you is a model, not real buildings. Great location for visitors and tourists in Munich. The best time of year to visit this place is in the summer when the summer festivals are held or during the snow when the whole city is covered and white.

Amazing views from the top of the tower. No queues to get in. Cheap as well at 10 euros a head. Would be far more in America.

An important and interesting landmark in Munich, great views form 170 meters high. When the visibility is good, you can see the Alps very clearly. The price is 13 euro/person, a fair price for what you get.

The Olympiaturm, a notable landmark in Munich, offers a unique experience combining spectacular views, dining, and history. Constructed for the 1972 Olympic Games, this 291-meter tall tower provides a panoramic view of Munich and the Alps. Dining at the Olympiaturm The tower houses several dining options, including the famed rotating restaurant, Restaurant 181. Located at 182 meters, this restaurant offers a blend of exquisite culinary delights and a 360-degree moving view of the city. Visitors can enjoy a range of dishes, from traditional Bavarian to international cuisine. The experience of dining while the restaurant slowly rotates is truly unique, providing ever-changing vistas of Munich. Viewing Experience The Olympiaturm’s observation deck, situated at a height of 190 meters, offers breathtaking views. The outdoor terrace is perfect for enjoying good weather and scenic sunsets. At night, the tower offers a splendid view of the illuminated city. Activities and Events Beyond dining and views, the tower hosts various events and exhibitions, adding to the visitor experience. It’s recommended to check the tower’s schedule for special events or exhibitions during your visit. Inclusion in a Munich Itinerary A visit to the Olympiaturm can be a highlight of a Munich trip. It’s recommended to combine this with a visit to the nearby Olympic Park, exploring its beautiful grounds and perhaps engaging in other activities offered in the area. Tips for Visiting 1. Advance reservations, especially for Restaurant 181, are recommended due to its popularity. 2. Plan your visit around sunset for a memorable experience. 3. Utilize the elevators for a quick ascent, or if you’re feeling adventurous, take the stairs for a physical challenge. Conclusion The Olympiaturm is more than just an observation tower; it’s a multifaceted attraction that offers stunning views, culinary delights, and a slice of Munich’s history. Whether you’re dining in the rotating restaurant or simply soaking in the views from the observation deck, the Olympiaturm promises an unforgettable experience .⬤

The TV tower in Munich offers breathtaking panoramic views of the cityscape. Its sleek design complements the modern skyline, and the observation deck provides an excellent vantage point for capturing stunning photos. The interactive exhibits enhance the overall experience, making it a must-visit attraction for both locals and tourists.

The Olympic Tower in the Olympic Park, Munich has an overall height of 291 m (955 ft) and a weight of 52,500 tons. The tower is open daily from 09:00 to 24:00. By the end of 2018, over 50 million visitors have climbed the tower since its opening in 1968. Must-Visit Attractions in Munich :)

Just an average sky high viewing platform. It was included in my Munich Park and I had some spare time, so I visited the tower. Some OK views, its situated away from Munich city centre, so can't really see, much of the city centre itself. If you are in Munich and you enjoy viewi g towers, then do it, if you prefer museums and galleries etc then don't bother visiting, use your time to visit what you enjoy.

One of our favourite parts of the whole week we spent in Munich! The tickets are 11 euros each per adult and worth every penny. The views are incredible, be sure to go on a good day to make the most of this as you can see all the way to the Alps. On the windows, there is signs telling you what you can see and there are binoculars you can use for a euro. The first platform is completely sealed which is great if you have a fear of heights. For the braver people, you can go up to two levels of open platforms. At the top there is also a cafe where I had one of the nicest Cappuccinos I had all holiday. A must if you are in Munich.

Wonderful views of Muchen. Different levels was great. The restaurant was able to seat us without a reservation which was very fortunate. Good service. Definitely something to see.

You can be on top of the world! Genuinely great views, and there's a revolving restaurant as well. Sadly in the evening they needed reservations, so I had to skip it, but there's also a café up there which will do you a glass of prosecco or a cup of coffee. The elevator going up is fast, so expect your ears to pop :)

The highest point of Munich - almost 200 meters high. The view is breathtaking! On good days you can see the Alpes! A bit pricey though but the view is priceless. A must see during your stay in Munich.

Wow!! You can see everything from here. 9€, not bad it's worth it. Not crowded and it had 3 levels to enjoy. 1st level has inscriptions on glass top reference sights. Second and third are open air. Breathe in the fresh Bavarian air.... peace and taco grease.

Gorgeous place to take pictures of the city and admire it's beauty. You can actually see the majestic alps from there . I was told it will be closed for renovations for several months starting sometime this year, so hurry up if you are in Munich before summer!

As expected, a high tower with far views. Cafe and toilets in the tower. An elevator goes to the tower. It's windy on the upper level, it's worth a visit! A pricey lunch spot at the bottom of the tower.

The view from the top is amazing, although they kelp the open balcony closed. The entry fees is high compare to the facility they provide, as there is nothing special up there. Good for one time visit.

I wanted to see the Olympic Tower. I was a little hesitant at first....I don't like heights, but i went up, and it was great. A 360 view of Munich and BEYOND. I got some great photos. I did a virutal reality experience, and it was awesome. I highly recommend going to this site. I paid 13,€. Well worth it.

As a tourist visiting Munich before the pandemic, I had the pleasure of exploring the beautiful Olympiapark on a late summer day. Although the park was bustling with tourists due to a local fair, I found the atmosphere to be lively and energetic, with plenty of local transport connections and ample parking available. The Olympiapark is a stunning recreational area, with lush green spaces, walking paths, and water features. One of the highlights of the park is the Olympic Tower, which provides stunning panoramic views of Munich and the surrounding areas. Local fairs taking place in the park, which added to the festive atmosphere. There were many food vendors and carnival rides, as well as live music and other entertainment. I enjoyed walking around the park and taking in the beautiful scenery. The park is large enough to provide ample space for everyone. There were also plenty of benches and areas to sit and relax, which made it a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall, my visit to the Olympiapark was a fantastic experience. The park is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Munich, especially during local events like fairs and festivals. Whether you're interested in nature, history, or just want to enjoy a lively atmosphere, the Olympiapark is definitely worth a visit.

  • 5/5 Florian K. 10 months ago on Google

  • 4/5 Stefan G. 10 months ago on Google

Olympic Tower That is the ultimate. Indeed it is. At 291 metres, the Olympic Tower is the tallest building in the city. Nowhere else can you get closer to the sky above Munich. Of course, the tower with its viewing platform also offers the best view of the city, the surrounding countryside and the Alpine chain in the south.

It's just a nice view. I like the outside platform . With nice weather the mountains are visible. Elevator is fast. All this in pure concrete 70s style

A great experience with fabulous views from the top. There's a small cafe in the main viewing area. Your ears go pop in the lift! I could feel the platform gently moving but noone else in my family could!

  • 5/5 Gurkamal D. 8 months ago on Google
No line to buy tickets and get up to the top of the tower from where you get an amazing view of all of Munich. We could see the shadows of the alps as it wasn’t too clear of a day and it was evening, but the pictures on the viewing glass of the tower point out exactly what you’re looking at in every cardinal direction. The prices in the gift shop at the base of the tower offer great gifts are prices that are better than most souvenir shops in the core of the city so I’d definitely recommend picking a few things up.

It is such a great place to visit because you can go on top to see all the city of Munich. It cost about 8€ per person. You can go outside of the building to take a photo. It locates in the Olympia park so you also can visit the park.

beautiful view from the top ( very fast elevator) and to the olympic town. once you’re around enjoying olympia park it’s worth taking a look and visiting the tower. on it’s own this not the biggest attraction so take time for other more worth visiting stuff in Munich or rather it’s surrounding area.

Extremely nice staff, extremely nice simple and clean layout of the building. The air is soft and very fresh, no crowding at all, and the vaccination and ID check took 15 seconds (if you have both). You really can see your house from up there (who lives in a 30-something km radius)!

The Olympic Tower is a television tower in Munich and one of the landmarks of the state capital and of the Olympic Park, in the eastern part of which it is located. At 291 meters, it is Bavaria's second tallest structure after the Nuremberg television tower. This tower gives a view above whole Munich and when the weather is great till the alps. It’s worth seeing all the time. The 181 restaurant too.

You are going up on 200m with elevator and than boom, you see whole Munich. My suggestion to go at night when sky is clear and you will see how amazing is this city. On top you have bar and you can take drink. You also can go outside and enjoj in fabulous view the city which you have been exploring during your stay. I bought ticket when I arrived there and I didn't have reservation, it was working day.

Best tower experience in Munich. you get the experience to see Munich from 291 m above with a fasinating surrounding. entrance fee 13€ open all days till 11pm. souvenirs shopnat the entrance, payment by card or cash possible. restaurant at the bottom base of the tower. you wait about 5 min in front of the elevator and one employee take the group of people to the 185m where you reach the glass room, awesome surrounding, cafeteria and a VR experience to see Olympia park 50years ago in 1972 and the future in 2070. then you can take the first stair to the open platforms guarded by long steel rails and another stairs to the last open platform with binocolours[1 euro] to zoom at the favourite buildings. very recommended experience.

A "must" for anyone visiting Munich - if the weather is nice. If it is, you will have the most amazing 360 view over the city, the outskirts all the way to the Alps in the background. Absolutely stunning!
