My godness! It was not much interactive museum! Ok, you could take pictures of your self in a princess dress or dress you like a knight. There were lots of things to see but the museum had to many different artifacts… I was disappointed… And no elevator… I tried to use the QR codes and to download the museum’s own App but nothing worked!

Here you can find a lot about croatian maritime history. One of the original life belts from the Titanic is hold here. The interactive room offers great mulitmedia games. If you are a see lover then this place is the right place for you. Great for groups.

It's a beautiful building outside and inside located in the city center. The exhibition is interesting and interactive and gives an educational insight into a maritime life of the region. Friendly staff .

The museum itself takes place in a terrific building, though the exhibitions are quite small. However, i found them informative and interesting. There are several rooms with different themes. It worth a visit for those who love museums.

Beautiful building both inside and out, visit the Marble Hall whilst you're here. I wasn't sure what to expect regarding the displays but you have quite a varied combination of Maritime exhibits as well as antique furnishings, sections on Knights, the Habsburgs, Cremonese violin makers, Religious art works and much more. I particularly liked all the Maritime paintings.

Great amount of interesting and varied exhibits. Not many people and beautiful building. Garden is also worth a little work round.

Cracking place and for only 20 kuna per person. Something for everyone; the history of the Croatian merchant navy with plenty of models and displays (and yes in English), medieval weapons, art, etc about Rijeka. Definitely worth a visit.

Was not planning on going here, but so pleased that we did. The building is spectacular and alone worth the visit. Exhibitions on all three floors were well presented and outstanding. Had a great time. Staff were super friendly and explained the different exhibitions and the best way to walk around the museum. Currently have two special exhibits on and both were very informative.

The museum is in a lovely histotical building. Rhe exhibits ate reasonable, with very little maritime things to see. Small entrance fee, lots of stairs. I will not visit again

Interesting exhibition when you got some time to spare. Admission is very cheap so go and check it out. Small fact… there are only five life jackets from the titanic in the world. The only one in Europe is here! Go check it out!

Good variety of archaeological artifacts, and ship models. The Split Maritime museum is much better as a Maritime Museum, if that's what you are looking for specifically. There is a huge amount of text panels, if you want to read them, but some artifacts (ones in drawers) were lacking basic identification/ dating information. If you're not Croatian, bringing a phone with Google Lens to translate the smaller text panels is recommended. The larger ones are presented in several European languages. Be warned, because it's in an historic building, it's a bit stuffy on a hot day.

Limited collection of things to see, but good for history insights.

Beautifull building for a somewhat smaller museum but definitely worth it. It will take you about an hour to walk it true . It is very cheap and perfect for a rainy day.

A very good and interesting museum. You can find a lot of shows. There are fixed shows about the history of Rijeka, but on the main floor there are shows which are regurarly changed. It also has shows about the Croatian war of independance.

It writes here that it's open but we came and it's closed, WITHOUT any message on the gates about it. It's holiday but still not an excuse for not leaving any message and write it here. Not cool.

Interesting Maritime history of Rijeka. Unfortunately only about half the exhibition is in English. As someone who doesn't speak or understand Croatian, I have to guess the other half.

Basicly the collection was spectacular but not sectioned in chronological order on the different floors. Informed about the language deficiency 70% english of the exhibition and this was rather about the history of Croatia than maritime. In total it's worth to see, entry ticket is only 20 kn.

Actually two museums set up in a old historical building. Original house name was a House of governor (even today local people call it like that). They have some permanent exhibition (like history of rijeka, vessels from rijeka, Croatian war for independence exhibit, and also some occasional. Anyhow this museum is a must to better understand dynamic city history
