I enjoyed the Nachos I had at the Mmabatho branch so I decided to get some in Grahamstown. When I tell you we received the worst customer service on earth… When we arrived no one tended to us we had to get up and go get someone to help us and with that they took even more time to come get our orders. Orders that took 2 hours to be served. Other tables were served before our own which makes me wonder what made us less important. We even had to beg for the bill. I don't often give full marks, especially not for a Spur (but I have kids and it's a necessary evil 😂). We stopped here on our journey to Kzn for breakfast. We were greeted politely, our waitress Anda was super friendly and incredibly upbeat. Wow! And super efficient. I told her we were doing a quick travel stop, and the kids food was arriving just as we got our adult orders in! The manager was on top form taking my Spur card to get the bill as I went to the ladies with my daughter. The place is clean and the play area has retro 80/90 arcade games - that actually work!! Really well done guys. Never been to Grahamstown before but in the hour we were there I was commenting to hubby how friendly people here are (even the teachers who accompanied 55 preschool children were so friendly when I asked to take over the arcade game for 5 mins to play a game of Tetris with my son. Very rude and unhelpful staff. This is all before I got my food. Based on service alone, I'm not coming back. Very disappointed. I ordered half buffalo wings and paid for them expecting to receive them with chips and onion rings as indicated on the menu, but I only got the wings. I honestly feel like my money was wasted and I was cheated. Terrible!

I used to be a spur fan (went every week at one point). Lately, Spur quality seems to be less than it used to be. I ordered a breakfast with boerewors. I could not eat the "wors": Tasted awful. More like a poor quality pork sausage. Also ordered a Chico the clown for my boy and got a bowl of icecream with mini marshmallows. It wasn't anything like a chico. Quite pricey for what you get.

Best Spur I have found so far, cooking is above par. Local specials unique to this spur including a waffle or a sundae for R30 on Mondays. Very happy to accomodation dietary needs, for example ordering a chicken burger with no roll. Vegetarian options as well as plenty of meaty choices! Kids play area and kiddies menu available

Brough back nice memories of taking lunch and hot chocolate. I miss the fries with calamari and grilled chicken :)

No excuse when it comes to not cooking food properly. Got this take out about an hour ago. Hope my girlfriend doesn't get sick because of this, uncooked chicken is not safe.

My friends and I came here for lunch at noon on May 15th. I don't know if your food is cold or something, because it's different from spur in other places. So I can only say that this experience is not good.

My sister and I are here for lunch. The waitress got both our orders wrong and when I pointed it out, she just said sorry and walked away. I ordered a main meal and was given a starter.

The waitress was really amazing and friendly. The food was also top notch, ambience and atmosphere really chilled amd overall amazing.

Grahamstown redwood spur lacks customer service. I have been here for an hour and a half and I am only getting my drink order now. I can't even imagine when the food is going to get here, most probably in the next 2 hours. I don't understand why there is only 5 waiters when the place is this full.
