We stayed at Safari Lodge Amakhala lodge. What an incredible experience from arrival to leaving. The staff were so accommodating, friendly and so helpful but what stood out the most is how happy they all are. We went on an amazing game drive, our ranger Sonnie was a delight. He showed us so much and is genuinely interested in the fauna, flora and wildlife. I couldn't recommend him more, he's absolutely fantastic. Mandi the host, was so helpful and friendly and saw to our every need. The dining staff and chef, you all made our meal times so much fun too and the meals are out of this world. The rooms are well maintained, and give you a true sense of Africa and being in the bush. Just loved all the little hand made extras. Absolutely beautiful. If i could give 10 stars I would. Absolutely love Safari Lodge. Will definitely be back. Thank you to all.

The location was perfect for our three day experience of viewing wild game. From the moment we arrived, from the greeting of the staff to the site of wildlife from the communal area, it was more than expected. We had two safari trips each day, of which we saw varied wildlife up close due to our expert guide. We have limitless photos to record our experiences. The food was top quality in the perfect setting. I can not say enough about our memorable time at the lodge. You will not be disappointed

I stayed for 3 nights at Safari Lodge and don't regret a single thing. I ended up my trip in South Africa here and it was the best decision ever. I was so lucky to stay alone in the whole lodge the first two nights (as it was low season) and the whole staff made sure that I never felt alone as it was a solo trip. The whole staff is simply TOP-NOTCH. Everyone is super welcoming, attentive, accommodating and so close that I felt almost like a little family during my stay. I had the chance to have amazing conversations with everyone there, special kudos to: Jean-Luke, Sussie and Bernie. You're the best! My two rangers also made my first safari experience unbelievable. Kudos to Desman and Martin! Both very knowledgeable, attentive and careful with nature and animals. I've been so lucky with my game drives that even got to see a lion and lioness hunt in real life, super close to us. Overall, a 5 star experience seems nothing to what I've lived here. Please, do not hesitate to go and live this experience on your own!

Everything about this lodge was exceptional! The food was amazing.. the safari drives were beautiful and educational.. the rooms are beautiful.. everyone working at the lodge made us feel right at home! I can’t wait to go back and highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a wonderful first time experience in So Africa! Thank you Jean’ luke for everything!

Fantastic stay. The staff were exceptional, friendly and efficient. Food and service was to a high standard. Going out on safari was brilliant our guide was very knowledgeable and seeing the animals unbelievable.

A beautiful, secluded place to stay. Lots of animals walking so close as you are right next to the watering hole. We watched giraffes, red harte, warthog and eland all walk past. They were so close. The staff are very friendly and give a first class service. Highly recommended.

Stayed at this resort for 3 days, 2 nights. We had an amazing time! The resort’s layout and design carefully thought out to give guests the most pristine/intimate experience with wildlife/nature as possible. The food they served every day was exceptional! What made the trip most memorable was the treatment by our butler Jean-Luke as well as the passion shown by our designated game driver, Martin. They both went above and beyond to make sure we had the absolute best experience we possibly could. I would gladly return and recommend this stay to all friends and family alike!

We loved our experience at Amakhala. Great staff. Good food. And we saw so much.on our game drives. Mr President our ranger was extremely knowledgeable. Saw 4 of Big 5. And many little creatures and birds. Highly recommended

The Safari was amazing, the Amakhala game reserve and the drivers were excellent. Rooms were very nice and have a nice plunge pool at the back to cool off in. The food was good, one day was very nice, the next day was average (maybe two different cooks). Each day at lunchtime we would choose a meal for dinner and on the menu there was a recommended wine to go with the dinner- this was never offered and the only wine served was house wine. We paid for an all inclusive trip but I felt like there was never anyone around to ask for a drink, there is no bar so you have to wait for one of the staff to appear from the back to ask. I would have appreciated a drink after dinner but it felt like our host was never anywhere to be found to ask for one- maybe he was under orders not to be around so we would drink less....Overall lovely place to stay, maybe just be louder about asking for extra food/drink or order a few drinks at a time!!!

I recently had my wedding at Safari Lodge. The experience was seamless and unforgettable. We will visit this special lodge again and again for the outstanding service, incredible food and idilic setting. Thank you Elizte and Lucilla! We had the very best time and we wouldn't change a single thing.

Awesome Safari Lodge. We stayed 2 nights in the luxury suite with a private pool. It’s just amazing animals pass by while u sit in the pool. The food is very good and staff is lovely. Our game drives with Martin were the best drives we’ve ever had. He knows so much and cares about every single life in the reserve. We’ve seen all the big five excepting leopard. Thank you to all that made our stay that unforgettable! We will be back definitely!

We had the pleasure of spending 2 incredible nights at Amakhala Safari Lodge. The minute we arrived we received outstanding service, First Class Cuisine and the most informative game ranger who took us on game drives. The accommodation is luxurious with the most magical view of all the wildlife coming to the watering hole throughout the day. Definite highlight was Norman the Elephant coming right to our lodge and putting his trunk into our dip pool. Well Done Team Amakhala

For the second time we spent a lovely weekend at the Amakhala Safari Lodge. The food was exquisite : breakfast including coffee, juice, cheese, salami, cereals, homemade toast and scones, jams, lovely eggs followed by a light lunch and then finished by an incredible supper - one evening we had the best lamb shank ever. There was always a vegetarian option available. The chalets are spacious with comfortable beds, air-conditioning, fan, mosquito nets and even have their own small pool and loungers. Additionally there is a large pool area.There is an indoor fire place in the lounge / bar area and there are two outside fireplaces.The service was impeccable, the staff extremely friendly and the game drivers are very knowledgeable. We had a lovely time - and we will be back

What a treat!!!! They only have 12 lodges, all with a plunge pool and a patio. It is all inclusive and you will never be hungry. The staff is amazing especially Jean-Luke who is an amazing host and Sony our super knowledgeable racedriver aka Safariguide who really went above and beyond to get us the best view of the animals in Amakhala. The food is absolutely amazing especially the lamb and the beef filet. Thanks so much for everything!!!
