I went to Lapaulina while in Granada, staff are super friendly, funny and the food was well cooked, hot and delicious. They served it fast as well, I totally recommend it. Just want to point out that they only spoke a little bit of English.

Excellent food drinks and service. We were staying around the corner at Barcelo and were looking for a taqueria, this one had a half star better review so we walked a little farther and are happy we did. Visiting from Canada it was really nice to see a digital menu available in English. Everything was delicious.

Hi Lapaulina has nice branding of the 'Day of the dead' Mexican skull. Inside it was fresh and clean and the waiter was friendly. My expectations were an authentic Mexican food, spicy, full of flavour and sizzling. We had Nachos, pictured below. Very well presented and begging me to tuck in with vibrant Mexican colours dancing before us. I was expecting fresh guacamole laced with lime, salt and heat, salsa made from crushed tomatoes and herbs, jalapeños and hot melted cheese. What we got was some dribble of freezing cold cheese sauce, salsa which was not unlike cold tomato soup and cold chicken fragments of leg. The overall effect was underwhelming. Our mains were Fajitas and Quesadilla. The Fajitas were the minimum standard I would expect. Not particularly spicey or exciting and again very bland sauces. But got pass marks. The mushroom Quesadilla was very bland. Just a large tortilla with bland cheese and average mushrooms. At least it was warm but lacked any real depth of flavour. Now I know the obvious thing to counter is that it is just the way it's done in Granada, or Spain, but no. I have eaten Mexican food in Granada that delivered verve, spice, sizzle, inferno sauce, crushed fresh ingredients that this did not.

The best Mexican food in Spain! As an American it's hard to find good Mexican food in spain. Even harder as a vegetarian. This place has great vegetarian options that are so delicious and a good value. We got beer for 2,25 (including a tapa) and tried the veggie nacho tapa, the veggie brocheta (fried cheese balls with jalapeño) and the veggie quesadilla tapas. All of them were delicious and filling. We split the vegetarian chimichanga which was huge and so appetizing! Furthermore, the service was great, especially considering it was a holiday and they were pretty busy. 3 beers, 3 kinds of tapas, and a chimichanga for 20 euros and we were stuffed. We were joking that we wanted to go back for dinner the same night because it was so good.

Good was really tasty, but the waiter messed up with our tapas and spilled some sauce almost on top of one of my friends and he didn't apologize...

Nice little Mexican style Spanish tapas bar. Dishes are small but ok.

They had super good mexican tapas until one day they simply stopped serving them and now they simply offer bad/worse-than-average tapas which have nothing to do with mexican gastronomy

The food isn't horrible, but not particularly good either. There is no care in the preparation of the food. They charge you extra for salsa without telling you and overall everything is a bit overpriced. The place itself is nice and in a good location.

Title: Extremely Disappointing Service Experience Review: I recently visited the restaurant and had an incredibly disappointing experience. The service was abysmal from start to finish, leaving me highly dissatisfied with my visit. Firstly, I ordered tapas, but before I could even finish my first plate, the staff abruptly cleared it away without checking if I was done. This lack of attentiveness and respect for the customer’s pace of dining was incredibly frustrating. The second tapa I ordered was the croquettes, and to my dismay, they arrived at the table frozen and cold. It was evident that they had not been properly cooked or reheated, making them inedible and unappetizing. This was a huge letdown, as I had been looking forward to enjoying them. Furthermore, the service in terms of drink orders was excruciatingly slow. It took an astonishing 20 minutes for me to receive my beer after placing the order. This unacceptable delay made me question the competence and efficiency of the staff, leaving me with a negative impression of the establishment. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was marred by subpar service, cold and inedible food, and an unreasonably long wait time for a simple drink order. I highly discourage anyone from dining at this establishment, as it clearly falls short in terms of quality, attentiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Good service, but the food is nothing special.

Hmm... It might be that the owners nor people who eat here have actually eaten Mexican food. Their idea of mole was some sesame seeds and some white cream tossed on some pork... Not undelicious, but definitely not mole mexicano. The tortillas were fine. So we still ate everything that came out as it was still tasty and we were hungry. Pretty good portions and good service. But if you're looking for actual Mexican food in Spain (which we weren't, it was just super close and had a good crowd vibe), maybe hacertela en casa ;) 2.10 euro for a caña with a decent sized tapa and the tacos de "mole" were 8euro for 3. Ate here in July 2017. The staff was nice and did actually ask how it was, heard me out, and tried to explain...
