This palace seems quite odd in the middle of the Alhambra site as it’s not in keeping with the rest of the buildings. But it’s still worth a visit. It’s free to enter and there is a museum with art on display and the central circular courtyard is impressive. I never did find out why they put ornate metal handles all around the outer wall of the building

Palacio de Carlos V, desde 1527… Time flows quietly, can't turn back the clock, whether gentle, irritable, ordinary or legendary, we will eventually be annihilated in the long river of time, as if we've never been here. Todo fluye...🎈

Impressive palace, free access. Two floors and a circular area with columns. It is really beautiful and I strongly recommend going upstairs, views are better from above and nice pics can be taken.

BE AWARE that the Museum is closed on Mondays! We didn't know and therefore couldn't visit it, bummer, a real loss. And...as I wrote in my other reviews, please do bring your ORIGINAL passports with you otherwise you'll be denied the entrance.

The Palace of Charles V is situated within the Alhambra palace complex. Guided tours are run throughout the day and booking is advisable as this iconic palace is extremely popular. There are a number of areas with steep narrow steps but the views make the climb worthwile. The palace of Charles V is very large with an auditorium.

among the Muslim palace buildings, The Emperor Charles V let build the Renaissance style Palace, you feel the strong Intension of efforts in religion impress extremely in Granada, anyway - a little confused expression if you came inside to the round yard. Amazing effect but in terms of acoustics, you hear at the centre very clearly the talking people in different radius.

The Palace of Charles V is a Spanish Renaissance building commanded by Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor. It is located inside the Nasrid fortification of the Alhambra. The outside of the building is a rectangle, with thick walls an a facade characteristic of the renaissance style. The interior is a circular patio surrounded by Doric and Ionic inspired columns. There’s a museum there that you can visit when visiting the Alhambra and there’s also a gift shop.

The museum inside is incredible with a lot of great pieces representing the andalusian Islamic heritage. Must see but photos and videos are not allowed.

This Renaissance style palace was constructed by Charles V after the Reconquista. It is mesmerizing to view the perfectly circular inner structure, and the uniformity of the pillars and arches. A nice place to spend a half an hour.

Don't miss it when in the Alhambra. Interesting construction and over 500 years of history.

The building itself is lovely but overshadowed by others in the Al Hambra complex. There is an interesting museum; a small gallery with mostly early Christian art; and a beautiful tableux of ceramic figures. See the photos.

The structure is interesting. If you are visiting Alhambra, you can spend a few more minutes in this palace.

excellent experience. The wall works are wonderful. Watching the walls takes you back to ancient times. Specially there are handles on the wall. In addition, fine workmanship has also been applied to the wooden doors. We entered with a ticket, but this area may be free. It's a nice place to take photos in front of it. We visited on January 19, if there was no rain in the weather, it was a good visit date in terms of low density. You can buy your tickets just above where the bus drops you off. We paid 18 EUR per person (as an adult). You can also see the city from here. Other sections can be entered by queuing in front of this building. You need to have your passport ready.

Not too much to see here, the large circular patio, a museum and a modern art gallery. The columns and balustrade seem to be made of concrete with large stones in that has then been ground down and polished.

After touring Nasrid Palace, this Palace is so basic. Not much to see but the grand area reminds me of the roman colosseum.

Not something wow, rather very ordinary compare to the Muslim Nasrid palace. Spent only 15 minutes - that’s all.

Beautiful palace, interesting part of history. Museum is very well done. Worth your time.

DO NOT COME ON MONDAY Alhambra is open on Monday but the museum and church is closed. It was great to see the palace and fortress. But it would have been nice to see the museum as well.

located inside the Alhambra area, a more surprisingly quiet area. the collections were nice, a mixture of art and history exhibits are available. the structure itself is already worth visiting. must see if you’re coming to the Alhambra.

A super big Italian style building remix. When you see the sky inside the building, it is so beautiful.

A must see palace when visiting the Alhambra. The architecture is beautiful and so different from the rest of the Alhambra. Also, a fantastic location to see a performance during the Music and Dance festival in the summer.

  • 5/5 Diana . 2 years ago on Google
A cool place to see as it has a circular shape inside.

  • 3/5 Michael A. 1 year ago on Google
Interesting architecture, much like a coliseum. No rooms are accessible though, except the art gallery on the second floor, which is nice.

A great image on your visit to the Alhambra. We went as early as possible.

An amazing palace that takes you back in time. A very romantic and special place.

  • 5/5 Mark S. 1 year ago on Google
A very interesting part of the Alhambra - but in my view pales beside the splendour of the Nasrid Palaces - extraordinarily lavish splendour from the 13th & 14th centuries!

  • 5/5 Pramudya Arif D. 5 years ago on Google
what an interesting place to visit. it has unique architecture and amazing ornament pattern. Combining Islamic Moorish style and Spain architecture style, make the building look amazing. Really nice to visit with your friends and families. But sadly, you have to leave the baby stroller at the entrance

We only visited the Alhambra museum which was good but not exceptional. It is a free museum. If you have an audioguide, it is hard to find what number you should type in (starting from a 100). Takes about 45 minutes if you read/hear most of what is available.

  • 5/5 Bull D. 2 years ago on Google
Another must-see building. Beautiful both inside and outside. We came late in the afternoon and it wasn’t crowded at all, even on Spain’s national day. Don’t miss getting the audio guides before visiting any of the sites in Alhambra. It is a great way of learning about every detail of the buildings.

Fine palace indeed. Worth dropping in as you walk around during the Alhambra hilltop. Spectacular circular court, inspired by ancient Roman architecture. I do not really recommend the Museum of Fine Arts: no piece of significance, with the exception, in my view, of the huge canvas on the departure of the last Arab governor of Granada. We could not get into the Museum de la Alhambra as it was closed.

Nice palace but you cant take photos inside the show rooms

Good place to visit, but after visiting the whole Alhambra, this place is not as amazing as the others. Worthy on Summer days to avoid that much Sun
