Nice beach, lots of naturists towards the mountain and friendly vibe, water was warm even in late November and the sand isn't as dark as other beaches on the island. There are sunbeds available (€10 for 2 beds and an umbrella) but no other facilities so come prepared, an easy 5-10 walk from the small car park. It's very windy here so be prepared to be whipped by the sand frequently! Can get quite cruisy in the dunes behind the main beach and along the mountain edge and I'm no prude but some were a bit too eager given the proximity of families on the beach.

This is an amazing beach, less crowd, very nice place to swim and relax without any disturbances. Good length of shoreline. It is a naturist beach so not for people who may feel uncomfortable I guess.

Great big long beach and flat access from the car park. Bit far for a wheelchair/scooter which won't work on sand anyway. Follow signs for the red Mountain car park. The beach is great. A bit windy sometimes. The further up the beach, towards the mountain, and the parasols and sunbeds is where the nudist bit is. Get rid of your inhibitions and strip off. Go on. You know you want to. Very liberating to be naked in the sunshine, especially when everyone else is... There is a sun bed attendant and it was €15 for the day, which was OK but there is NO toilets or shop so take stuff with you. If you feel a little bit reserved or squeemish, perhaps, stay nearer the lifeguard station or at the first sunbeds you come across because there is more nudity the further you get up. Hope this is helpful.

The wind is enormous. Impossible to stay at the beach even standing or sitting, not talking of sunbathing, as the speed of the wind is that high that it acts as a sandblasting machine which is painful at your skin. Your clothes and bags left at the shore, get covered with sand in 5 minutes. The waves are high and strong and the current creates swirls, so swimming is hard and dangerous. The views at the Montaña Roja, however, incredible. But I won't recommend it for sunbathing and swimming, it's just impossible. Also the beach is half wild: almost no people, no lifeguards, and to get there you need to walk 10 min through massive building constructions area.

A favorite: grey sand, gorgeous views of Montaña Roja, and a great vibe all day. It's a bit of a walk from the main road, and some construction is happening in the neighborhood, but it's well worth the effort.

The beach is actually a nudist beach. You don't notice until you glance to the bushes... that said, it's away from the wind and pleasant. It's the beach to walk up the Mountain [Roja]. The mountain is quite a walk up and a bit dodgy walking down although you feel some sense of achievement doing so!

When sun is up this beach is very hot! Take your own umbrella, food etc. Rescue team on charge. No blanket dealers, no rocks, just sand. Strong waves. Full of friendly people and nudist. Hiking on Montana Roja is a great bonus and bueatiful view experience.

Definitely my favourite on the island. Wonderful sandy beach!Bear in mind there's nothing around so you need to bring food and drinks. There are some beds and umbrellas tho. Also there are lots of nude people enjoying this beach too.

Imagine a nice beach with clear water and nice waves. Add wind, lots of wind. So that it picks up sand and sticks it in your feet so you can't sit or lie down. Wind so strong that it breaks the edges of the waves and turns them into a rain of drops in your face so you can't swim. So you prefer to go for a walk on the beach, but there you meet nudists, which is not suitable for your children. So you better attract their attention to the departing planes, behind which is Pico del Teide . Then you found yourself at Tejita Beach.

Sand beach, sometimes windy, a lot of nudist there The use and enjoyment of this if territory is a right that you can exercise and enjoy for a very long time. However, you must remember that the correct and civic use of the beaches is tied to a general regulation in the Coastal Law and to the regulation that the Town Hall established for each and every one of them, according to their command. Rules put in place so you and the rest of the people that use this beach can do so in the best of conditions. Follow these rules and, of course, common sense Enjoying with consciousness, we enjoy the double!

A beautiful long beach with fine black sand leading up to Montaña Roja. There is also a nudist beach at the very end.

Flat and sandy beach. Big free area. 👎Very strong wind. No toilets, no showers. No shade. Not recommended with children due to strong waves. 👍Really nice to come here for the view and the coolness. Not crowded, relatively few people come here. There is free parking,a short walk from there.

Magical place. The scenery with the Montaña Roja to your left, the waves crashing on to the beach and the black sand is something that burnes itself into your memory. It is also a beach where clothing is optional, especially under Montaña Roja.

Large beach, clothes optional. Many naturists at the far end by the mountain. Life guards on duty 10 till 5 when we were there in November, my wife also said they were good looking.
