As a Gen X, I use to come to Big John’s with my dad as a kid. As a kid, this was such a treat when my dad would ask do I want to go to Big John’s would bring such excitement. Because it was such a test getting subs from here, they were always so delicious. I moved to the Metro Detroit area in the ’90s. Unfortunately, no big johns in the metro Detroit area. Such a shame. I found myself driving up to Burton today and decided I have to work in Big John’s. I have to admit the last time I came to big Johns was before my dad passed away in 1997. I was a little worried that I was going to be disappointed because of a memory that was decades old. I walk in, and I wish I would have got the person who rang me up. She was pretty awesome. I told her the last time I was here was in the ’90s, and without missing a beat, she said, well, you are in for a real treat. And boy, she was right. My steak and cheese were awesome..

All I can say after reading other reviews is don’t compare this to a Philly steak. It’s it’s own thing in its own region. That being said I enjoyed it very much, and would definitely be back for another one.

Best sub I've had in 11 years. They are great people who work there. Was so happy.

Oh I love this place they know more than when I walk in later so pleasant and nice I go there to lunch 4 days out of 6

This location is horrible. If I’m craving Big John’s last minute I end up at this location trying to give it another chance bc it’s right next to my house. Horrible every time, from the service to the food. I’ll continue to drive the extra 20 mins to Davison, where they know what they’re doing.

That was my first time ever eaten at a big John's in Michigan that was my first time being in Michigan since I was a kid and the sub was awesome.

Corunna Rd. Location I stop there often when visiting Flint last couple of times staff was real and last week the Manager had to step in and complete my order. Worst sandwich chicken Philly. I asked a question and staff got made and stopped making my sandwich. Never again !!

I really enjoy a good sub sandwich and I try them in a lot of different places. This was not a good sub. Very bland.

For first timers I would recommend the steak or chicken for this location does not have a drive thru but they are pretty quick even at lunch when the line is to the doorway. Most recently I decided to branch out and get a ham sandwich. I am so glad I did I could not believe their ham was as good as it was. Young guy in a tye dye shirt made my food with such care, and girl in red shirt named Erica delivered great service. You're also right in town Grand Blanc, nice place for a stroll downtown after.

Me and my dad came here and got 2 subs, his was steak and olive with extra cheese and mine was steak mushroom and cheese. When we got home we found that his didn't have any cheese and neither did mine, and mine didn't have mushrooms either. Both of ours were also slightly cold, and we didn't wait long after getting them to try them. It makes me wonder how someone could mess up a simple sandwich so badly.

Just had an 8” philly chicken. Where’s the meat!! Very little meat and the bun was very dry. All I could taste was lettuce. Terrible sandwich!

It was just alright. Nothing special. My sandwich 🥪 tasted bland. I needed the condiments! If not, there would've been zero taste.
