My wife and I are moving and I dropped off many items last week such as clothing (some even new with tags) and kitchen items in very good condition. How I was treated at the drop off point was unbelievable, almost like they didn't want the items. I had to repack some boxes because they did not have lids and then I was told I packed one box to heavy for them and I said they will need to repack it then like they made me do and the response I got is they will throw it away. I will be gifting any future give away items to a charity that truly appreciates them in the future not to the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Thrift Store !

One of the employees here is rude beyond words! I purchased three items (two were the same price). I paid and left the store but realized I was overcharged when I looked at the items when I got to my car. I went right back in the store and explained that she overcharged me by ringing up 2 items at the higher price instead of 2 items at the lower price as it should have been. No more than 2 minutes had gone by since the transaction and there was no one behind me when I paid so I don't believe she "helped" anyone after me. It was like she had no idea who in the world I was! Then she removed my items from the bag and said "well where are the rest of the items?!?!" as if I was being dishonest. She begrudgingly gave me the money I was overcharged but not before making me out to be a thief when it was her mistake!

This might be one of the worst customer service experiences of my entire life. This is so far beyond bad customer service this is borderline verbal assault. This should be no stars but google will not let it go lower than 1. I was yelled at, spoken down too and treated with gross disdain and contempt. Why a business trying to support a good cause would have such nasty hateful people working the counter is beyond me. I can assure you anything this place seems like it has is not worth dealing with the counter staff. If you are in line and see an older native american man with a quasi-mohawk. Just put your items down and walk out that is the best advice I can offer to salvage your day, whatever it is you think you have found is not worth the brutal maltreatment you are in for. I went to the store specifically to buy furniture. My wife and I (yes she got her earful of maltreatment as well) brought a long box truck and believed we were ready. The man was the type to ask vague questions and be utterly annoyed and hateful if you do not have a prompt and perfect response. I am brand new to North Dakota but I have to assume the Boys and Girls Ranch deserves better than that hateful bitter man you will have to deal with to buy anything.

Horrible work place,I was told I would have to carry 50 pound plus boxes and when I said that might be a problem she said, why are you restricted/ sick? I get that I won’t get accommodations but the girls there don’t pick up heavy things and all they do is talk to each other and fix the showing case. Ive never had to deal with anyone being so discriminatory. So rude and I was still asked well do you wish to continue with the interview. I did the same job at a different location, I don’t understand why me being pregnant has to do with my ability to do everything now. This place really disappointed me .

Awful customer service tried dropping of clothes and refused to take them will never shop there again will give to business that care about actually taking donations never been treated so bad

Pretty good selection, helpful staff but prices have skyrocketed. Nonetheless still a good place to shop, especially if you're looking for books, furniture and clothing.
