Absolutely gorgeous beach! The water is crystal clear. The sand is very clean. The pier and lighthouse are so beautiful. We went at sunset and the beach was still filled with people. This place did not disappoint. There is also a fountain light show around 10:10pm about a half a mile down from the beach on the water. My kids LOVED it.

Very beautiful beach! The water is amazing compared to other beaches in Michigan. So far, the best beach we ever visited in Michigan. A downside is the limited parking. We had to wait and drive in circles to find a spot. I hope they can do something about it. The other downside is that there are only two bathrooms where you have to wait in a long line to go to. Otherwise, it is a nice place to enjoy the sun in Michigan.

Beautiful white sand beach! Amazing view on the lighthouse! Volleyball nets, tables and benches available. My only suggestion is add few more bathrooms.

Beautiful beach! Wish we could’ve visited when it was warmer out, but still had a great time. 1 of our kids was brave enough to go swimming. It was way to cool for the rest of us. Look forward to coming again in the future.

Really enjoyed it during the off season. Beautiful sunsets and great place to walk to. However, as the weather warms up, parking is impossible and it's super loud.

Well let's just be honest FY2020 has just been crazy! So Sienna and I drove up to Grand Haven MI. for a long weekend. The views were amazing every where we went!

Always a relaxing, breath taking view

The beach was very clean, but it was very, very crowded and with that, parking was incredibly difficult. Had I known of the lack of parking I may have picked another beach. But, the beach was nice once we finally parked and got there. The sand and water were clean, and the location of the restrooms was helpful given we had a lot of kids with us.

Awesome sandy beach. Very clean, restrooms on the side, and yes they need more parking space but all and all it's very nice.

Join us! Skip the summer's endless boiling paved tarmacs of the State Park... Wait until the deep winter freeze wherein the endless wide lakes, which extend beyond your view, send phantom visions of towns unseen (if you're lucky and the light is right)! Still, the waves solidify til you can walk upon them and witness geysers shot by tide unfettered to splash and freeze in shapes obscene! Tis dangerous to walk alone, wherein steady folk did tread. Heed the warnings of lifeguard's posts or surely you'll be dead!

I looove this beach! It is right next to the GH state park. It has a small parking lot, bathrooms, and even rent boards etc in the summertime. Awesome. So clean!

Nice alternative to state park parking. Check out the stairs across the road, they lead up to fantastic views.

Gorgeous beach. Downside is not a ton of parking and only two restrooms that are quite dirty.

Really nice beach if you can get lucky enough to get parking in a free lot. The other option is to pay to get into the state park. Noticed they had empty spaces most of the day.

The beach has always been my happy spot. I go here when I just want to relax and have a quiet time.

The water was full of some weeds so it wasn't great. But the beach was really nice and the water beyond the mucky stuff was still nice. Nice area, for sure.

Not sure we'll be back. This place has went down hill. There's a lot of gang activity. We were there 7-4-22 and the police shut the beach down because of to many fights, there was drug use all over and many drunk people. Online it said dogs are allowed, but after we waited 1 hour in line and finally got a parking spot we found no dogs allowed. We did find one section it said dogs allowed after 5pm, we took the chance and took our dog out anyway. It was a 2 hour drive for us is why we took our dog out anyway.

Absolutely loved the beach ⛱️ and the swim part had barely any seaweed, perfect for the kids. The pier is clean and there is a camp ground right on the beach.

No stones. Just beautiful white sand all the way out.

Little to no parking. Better off with a state park pass. It's a lake Michigan beach, you really can't go wrong, especially if crowds are your thing. I prefer a quieter setting.
