I booked before arriving and stated in a side note that I am car camping. This KOA put me in a tiny spot where there is barely enough room to parallel park right beside the road. It was in direct sunlight with no shade and far from the washrooms. Most of this campground is in direct sunlight! I drove around the empty campground and found a couple spots with trees. The ladies up front told me they are RV sites and I am not permitted to stay there. I was willing to pay the RV price, but they still said no. They had a very snobby attitude and didn't show any compassion or empathy. So I left. I am so grateful that KOA didn't work out because I ended up at one of the nicest campgrounds I have ever been too at The Branches of Niagara Campground & Resort right down the road! They are so incredibly nice here, the price is very affordable, and the landscaping is beautiful with a lake and lots of trees. The convenience store is open later than KOA and they offer far more. The shower rooms are clean and closer to walk too. Highly recommend the Branches of Niagara Campground & Resort!!

Let's start with the good - there are lots of games for kids and the playground is nice. The laundry room was pretty good. It's super close to the falls. Now the not so good - the 'value' sites ($100+) in the back are pretty narrow. The wifi is not great. The bathrooms are very dirty. The women's room smelled very strongly of urine and was not cleaned once during our 4 day stay. I don't think it's too much to ask for the bathroom to be cleaned daily at a $100+ per night campground. Stay down the road at Branches of Niagra Campground if you have the option.

The place was really nice. The staff was friendly. There was a lot to do for the kids and adults. My problem was with the roads in the back of the campground. They really need attention. I understand they are not as expensive as the other sites, but they are still over $100 a night. There were pot holes that filled up with water and mud when it rained. I hate to knock off 2 stars, but I feel like the roads should be better for the price we paid.

Great looking campsite, with lots to do. Kids would love it here! Our downfall was the heatwave and our tent site not having any full grown trees on it, that being said plan ahead. Luckily we were able to purchase the site next to ours that did for a small upcharge due to having power on it. Cool little cabin family /Shower bathhouses.

We stayed 4 days and loved it. Staff was super nice. We camped in site A11 and it was quieter up against the old theme park. Campground was clean with plenty for kids to do. (Swim, moon bounce, basketball, badminton, walk, fishing (bring your own rods), arcade, bike rentals, etc) Staff was a constant ride around checking on things (I like that). They also have 2 different dog parks. Would love to stay here again.

Great KOA - super close to Niagara Falls NY! Our pull through site was long and very wide and gave us plenty of room to spread out. The laundry room has lots of washers and big commercial dryers - no waiting! Staff was really friendly. Best part was that our mini-bus tour of Niagara picked us up right in the campground!

Good campground with nice amenities relatively close to the falls. We spent two nights here and enjoyed them both, although the park is a little on the pricey side. Staff was friendly and helpful on check in. Our site was on the outside perimeter road in the front section. It was a bit unlevel and muddy from recent rains, but good enough. Hook-ups were relatively easy. The park has some nice amenities for all, and the kids took advantage of them. The near proximity to the falls was our reason for choosing this RV park, and it did not disappoint. It only took 10-15 minutes to get to the falls. It was also nice that there was nearby shopping and other things of interest. Of course we had to go to the Anchor Bar for wings as well as the falls, Fort Niagara, Lake Ontario, and more!

This was by far the best vacation spot for family! If you looking to be close to the falls this is perfect!! So many activity’s in the KOA itself. If you run out of things to do in the park there is a full amusement park / water park right next door! You can buy tickets at the KOA and a mini train will pick you up and take you to the park!! Such a cool experience! Lady’s in the office were very nice and helpful. Rentals are a little pricey but the place has to pay for up keep somehow. Speaking of up keep. I have a 2 star for rooms cuz the BATHROOMS were atrocious!!! If your in an RV you’ll be fine but if you need the bathrooms there good luck. They need to get these cleaned regularly. Over all 5 stars.

Excellent campground, clean, friendly staff. We stayed here to visit the Falls. The office setup our tour which picked us n dropped off at the office. Very convenient and easy. The store is well equipped. The pool looked great. Lots of activities including paddle boats. Each site was landscaped nicely. Trash pickup at sites was a nice plus. Recommend? Absolutely!!

Pros: if you have kids this place is wonderful. They have a fantastic playground with a roller coaster type swing, the pool is heated and wonderful, two bounce pads, basketball, pickle ball, and corn hole are all available. There is also a fishing pond where we caught bluegill! Plus the falls are about 15 minutes away. Would definitely recommend. Cons: it’s pricey. We stayed in a value pull thru site and it wasn’t bad. Close to all the activities!

The staff here was so friendly and helpful it felt like a vacation resort more than camping, even in my tent! My kids had fun doing every Halloween activity. We all especially liked the trick or treating.

Won’t be returning. Had paid a premium to get a good site right on the fishing pond and near the back pool. Our extra money was sadly wasted as there were no fish in the pond and the back pool and all the games in it was closed without warning. We would have definitely stayed in cheaper site for sure for our stay because of this. You can’t pickup your own firewood, it has to be delivered, which took 2 hours, and orders stop around 7:15pm. 50% of the vehicles in the park drove way too fast for comfort with kids around. The biggest turnoff was that they started their lawn maintenance at 8:30 at all sites, occupied or not (what’s the point of a checkout time if they do maintenance while you’re on site?) We had someone with a weed eater AT our trailer at 8:34AM, the weed eater was throwing rocks at our trailer, they did all around our site, which was clearly occupied with everyone sleeping (this was on the day of our checkout), we were speechless. There was lots of stuff for kids to do, however, our experience was disappointing and expensive for what we encountered.

Has everything I would expect from a KOA... A very nice campground, well maintained with obvious yearly investment. Most sites are large, for a private campground. Our site was easily long enough for big rigs with plenty of space between sites. Even though the site was gravel, it was perfectly level. Excellent water pressure, 2 sewer connections and the WIFI was reasonably fast even on the weekend. This KOA is mostly filled with weekenders and vacationers. Staff extremely nice. The new patio sites look awesome. We would definitely stay here again. Overall, this KOA sets the standard that all KOAs should match.

Located on radioactive hotspot on Grand Island. The amount of radioactive exposure here is above normal limits. Consider your health before coming here.

This campground was top notch. Very spacious sites, nice & clean. 2 pools & lot's of activities. The staff was awesome & very helpful. Campground was 7 miles from Niagara Falls & close to any stores or restaurants you could want

A FABULOUS KOA! Clean! Well-groomed! Spacious sites! Wonderful kids play and pet areas. Shade trees. Trash pick up daily. City bus and tour pick ups come by the front entrance. Full hook ups. The city bus costs $2 in Summer 2022 and takes you to the American Falls. From there you walk across Rainbow Bridge, about a mile, to the Canadian Niagara Falls. I've not done that yet.

Stayed here tent camping. It was a nice place for an overnight stay, the staff was nice, and there is plenty to do for kids. If you plan on tent camping, watch out for random rocks burried in the dirt when putting in your stakes. There wasn't shade trees either so your tent will be in the sun. If you have kids, I recommend going to the family bathrooms, not to the bathrooms by the pool. The family bathroons will give you a bigger space to shower, and room to get ready.

We were in the area for a hockey tournament and due to high hotel prices we decided to rate a cabin. We have camped many places and were surpised when we arrived with how nice the campground looked. We were disappointed with the lack of trees which would have provided additional shade, so be sure to bring some kind of pop up tent of you don't want to be in direct sun all day. The cabin was clean with 4 beds, a small mirror on the wall, a single shelve and a small bench. There was also a small garbage can with bags provided. The porch had a swing which looked new. The picnic table was not in the best condition but it looked like some cabins and camper sites had updated outdoor furniture. I was surpised to learn that someone comes around every day to collect garbage. We were not able to get a cabin with a/c and it was a hot weekend in the 90s. We did bring a small fan however it only helped a little. It looked to have many activities to keep kids busy. Some are an extra charge however. We only had enough time to take a quick drip in one of the pools. The office closed around 8pm and was not open first thing in the morning. Think the sign said 9 am. This was disappointing because we were not able to communicate with the office that on our second and last night while cooking our food, we had several rodents come out from under the cabins porch. All of the years we have camped and never once had issues with rodents, Bears and skunks yes but never rodents and while making dinner and trying to eat. Until that point we had enjoyed our stay.

Breathtaking place, before you see the falls you learn a little history about it, very clean place and the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend going. Oh and you might see a seagull or two.

This was really convenient to Niagara — our main reason for booking. The sites were really narrow though and we have a small travel trailer so it’s saying something if we felt cramped. I’d consider this more KOA journey quality.

So if you 💕 camping with your family I highly recommend coming to Grand Island. The campgrounds are super spacious. I stayed in a cabin and loved every minute of it. The cabins have a swing on the porch with a beautiful patio that has your fire 🔥 pit, table and chairs. You open the screen door and a really cool wooden door with a pull down hatch on a small rope to enter your cabin. My cabin had an awesome air conditioner, on the right side a bunk bed made of wood, and on the left a full size bed made of wood like a log cabin look. You will also find a TV hanging and a mini fridge!!! They have WiFi if you get a password. The room had a really nice log table between the beds and a built in table/shelf to put items on in front of the bed connected to the wall. There is a small built in mirror at the right of the door so you can see your face. Also a ceiling fan with light. The family bathrooms have the shower and toilet and sink together in one private room. I was really happy about their set up! I know there is so much more they offer that I didn’t get to see. They have pools and stuff like that.

Great stay at this friendly campground located so close to Niagara Falls and the area. They arranged a Falls tour for us with pick up right at the KOA. So convenient and it was a great tour! We had a couple of RV issues and they were extremely helpful and considerate. Thanks to all!!

Very convenient to all Niagara and Buffalo attractions. We had a basic site that met our needs, would recommend one of the nice patio sites which includes patio table and chairs. Cabins are very nice. Staff was helpful when we needed to change our stay, and helped to book a tour. I recommend.

Close to Niagara Falls. This was a good location for us to stay for 3 nights to visit Niagara Falls and the surrounding area. The park itself is good, but expensive; probably just because it's in a popular tourist area. We didn't use the park for much more that spending the night. We decided to drive to Niagara Falls and park on Goat Island which worked out great. I just recommend getting there before 10am to make sure you get there before it fills up. From there you can walk to both falls and into Canada. There is a shuttle that we used to get back to the car to save us from walking back.

The location was good for going to Niagara Falls and the campground was generally quiet. However, there was some trash around the cabin and someone was in our cabin’s assigned parking space the majority of the two days we were there. It was also evident that there was not a thorough cleaning of the cabin, as along the baseboards it was still dirty with dirt, grass and what looked like chips. Also, the bathrooms clearly did not get the attention they needed. The soap dispensers ran out, the floors were very filthy and needed mopping, especially in the stalls and shower stalls. It looks like someone just swept quickly and wiped off the counters and sinks without really sanitizing. two drunk women came into the building smoking a cigarette and the whole bathroom stunk so not a great ventilation system. I know it was Labor Day weekend but I felt staff just did cursory checks if you’re in an RV it’s a fine place but for cabin stay it was disappointing.

Absolutely lovely and clean and well organized! LARGE LOTS!! My site had a patio with furniture and stone firepit. We absolutely enjoyed this! Place is close to major attractions yet secluded enough. I'll definitely be back!!

Best KOA ever. The staff here was above and beyond kind and generous. They help you in any way they can so friendly. The size of this KOA is amazing the beauty is amazing the landscape is amazing. To see the amount of cabins that they have is phenomenal definitely the best KOA I've been to yet keep up the good work definitely going to return thank you so much for giving us a wonderful day and a great vacation

    • Great location. About 7 minutes from Niagara Falls. • Decent WIFI. • Good cable TV. • Staff are great. • My site was long enough for the RV and toad. • My site was fairly level. • Quiet and peaceful. • Washrooms and showers are clean, great water pressure and no shortage of hot water. • I would stay again if I was in the area. • The only negative I can say is the sewer connection is too high, difficult to empty tanks.

Nice KOA, not too far from Niagara Falls. Paid over $100 for my site, has a patio, water hook, and electricity outlets. Has wifi but we never told our kids 🤪. Sites are close to each other. Enough that you can hear your neighbors conversations, yes that close. Thank God for quite hours 10 pm - 7 am. Guests are pretty good with this expectation. Lots of RV. Cabins look nice, various size. Staff was good, helpful. Check in was simple and quick. General store can be pricey, $12 for a bundle of firewood. Overall, the camp site was clean, well staffed, and maintained. No fish in the catch and release ponds. All the amenities were awesome. Lots of things for the family to do inside camp to keep everyone busy. Love the community KOA staff tried to build while guests are there. Thank you!

Nice people working there. Clean showers. Had a outdoor movie projector for the kids. The only downside is that the campsites are only ten feet wide and the 2 neighbors tents are 5 feet away from yours. No tree cover

This campground is very convenient to niagra. We stayed for 5 nights, the best part for us was the fact the bus stops right out front. We do not tow a car, however we have e-bikes. We biked to niagra Beautiful path which runs all, along the river. We used the bus a few days just for the convenience of not having to deal with parking etc.. park has great amenities for kids lots to do. Great store has lots! Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed in one of the Kabins and it was great. Huge deck comfortable with the AC and TV and close to bathrooms. Super convenient to the Falls. Only complaint was parking wasn’t next to the cabin and I did get stuck packing up to go in a rain storm. Would recommend staying if you are near the falls and looking for something that isn’t an overpriced casino.

We had a deluxe cabin this past weekend. Major issues with the plumbing. Our bathroom sink wasn't working right. I called maintenance and they came right away. Come to find out the Kitchen sink was also leaking underneath and the toilet wasn't flushing right. Maintenance couldn't fix it during our stay because it was too extensive and they had no other accommodations for us to move to... My kids went up to the office to return bikes they rented and office told my children to pick out ice cream for free for the inconvenience of the plumbing! No call to the parents first?! Thankfully my children have a cell phone and called me. I was livid that they thought it was ok to give my kids sugar without speaking to us first! Also, my son is lactose intolerant!!! What were you thinking??? After paying almost a thousand dollars and stuck In a cabin with 6 people for 3 days with only the bathtub water working was ridiculous! The office only reimbursed $26 that was spent for my kids peddle bikes for the water issues. I feel that is hardly compensation for what we had to deal with all weekend! You should have reimbursed our whole stay or half of it at the very least. Our family loves KOA and this one by far was the worst experience we've had. I hope they fix everything for the next person!

Great place to stop for a night as they’re a tad expensive. However the location and events tends to understand the price therefore well worth it. Not sure I’d stay longer in the space we were in as we had made reservations back in February. Having said this I’m certain folks from around here have their reservations made a year prior hence getting a spot away from the freeway.Staff was absolutely fantastic and the grounds and area were so well kept. Again another great stay at KOA. Thank you Virginia and Sharon!

Nicely landscaped sites that are bigger than most. Two separate pools and playgrounds. Bathrooms and showers were spaced well and clean. The only suggestion would be to keep swimming past 8 pm, otherwise very nice!!

Close to the falls with tours that pick you up at the park made this a good choice for us. Their WiFi worked great. Only drawback was lack of shade. We had a nice tree in our premium spot, but much of the park appeared to be a parking lot with hookups.

One of the nicest KOA’s we’ve been to. It was clean and lots to do. We stayed in the cabins and they were really clean and lovely. Only thing I have to say negative is there is no stove to cook on in the cabin so when it was pouring rain out my hubby had to make breakfast in the pouring rain on the bbq.. also, there was only a bar size fridge that froze half our food. Would highly recommend this campground even with the couple things wrong.

The koa on grand island is a fantastic place to stay. The personal are so kind and friendly. I really cannot say enough good things about them. Its obvious they enjoy what they do Nd really want families to enjoy their stay.. The grounds are clean, there is a ton to do. We stayed in a cabin and it was very clean, super convenient, and came with tons of amenities that really allowed us to relax and enjoy. We will definitely be coming back.

  • 4/5 pete B. 1 year ago on Google
Nice amenities and a short ride to the falls or the border. (2 pools, corn hole, hoops, horseshoes, etc) several cabins to choose from. The disappointing part was after an 8 hr drive to get there........our cabin wasn't ready. Our reservation said cabin check in was at 4pm....but we got there at 5:30pm......and we were told that we couldn't enter the campground yet, that we should go for a ride and come back. That was very frustrating after driving 8 hrs ( with kids). It would have been much more guest accomadating if we could have just gone and sat by the pool or something..........that would have been a better way to handle the situation.....in my opinion. Once we got to our cabin it was fine.

Cabin was decent nothing fancy had electric for fan. very helpful and accommodating staff. Dog park not so great. Had 1 pool but advertised 2- which made it kinda crowded on 7/4/20 due to S.D. covid 19 rules. I would go back though if only it had real pictures of locations of cabins and maps.

My in laws stayed here 3 years ago and it was great. They had 2 pools open, one had water slides, they had plenty of room at their site. Well they went back fourth of july weekend and man what a difference. The sites are right on top of eachother and they had a very small area to hang out in. One of the pools was closed and the other one had way too many people in it for it being a pandemic. Half the place was covered in dirt and they didn't give them any sort of discount or warning that there was gonna be dust all over. Save yourself a headache and stay up the road at Branches.

Very nice, clean, and spacious camping spots. Dog park is decent sized and clean too. Overall, great experience, though we didn't have time to use the pool and other amenities. My only complaint and reason it's 4 starts and not 5 is that it's insanely expensive compared to other KOAs I've been to. I'm talking 110+ a night for your basic spot with all hookups. That will get you close to 2 nights at most KOAs. As it was so close to Niagara Falls though and it made my wife happy, can't complain too much.

It was a very nice campground. The cabin was newer and the overall environment was pleasant. One of the things we really enjoyed were the fun cycle and paddle boats and the pricing was surprisingly very affordable. The employees were very nice and the couple of issues we ran into were taken care of very quickly. Definitely recommend.

Our first campground of our trip and I was reluctant to spend the money on a KOA since it is pricey, but we were very glad we did. Grounds and bathrooms were immaculate, the staff was friendly and very helpful; in fact, our awning blew off the track while we were at the Falls, they called us to let us know and helped us put it back together when we returned. Also, the Niagara bus stop is on the grounds and will take you right to the Falls!

Nice campground. Needs more shade trees. Spots have water, power and sewer. They have a store with keepsakes. Facilities employees very nice. They sell wood if you want. A picnic table at the spots to. A pool, do not know if heated or not. It's Just about 7-8 miles to Niagara Falls. Pizza joint next door. Fuel stations nearby. Be aware when you cross the bridge, you will get the toll by mail, or they have a phone number you can call to pay. Sign just before the bridge.

We’ve been coming here for years, but unfortunately it must come to an end. The staff tried to make it right, but we ended up packing up and cutting our vacation short due to some unruly and obnoxious campers. Their 11 kids were constantly left unsupervised at the pool and left to roam the campground bullying others while their parents drank beer at their campsite and couldn’t be bothered to actually parent.

  • 4/5 Kris H. 4 years ago on Google
The staff was great, the bathrooms were clean, pools were nice and not to crowded. Campgrounds close to a lot of attractions and things to do. But the pull through campsites we're way to close together. Worked out fine for us as we were gone working everyday, but the neighboring sites sewer hookup was like 6 or 8 feet right in front of our camper door. Could hear every neighbors conversation, and was to close to be comfortable.

Arrived at 2:30pm today ..told our cabin would be ready at 4. Not true. At 4:15 we stopped a staff member about when it would be ready .. she was kind enough to open the door only to come out & say it hadn’t been cleaned yet. It’s now almost 5pm & we continue to hear “just finishing up” & “almost done”. Not a great first impression in any way.

Very small, cramped sites. We booked our site a year ago, but we were still put in the back of the park, next to the very noisy freeway. Had to pay $5.00 for each visitor, but the site was too small for our guests. Pictures on the website are very misleading

Great KOA. Easy Driving distance to Niagara Falls or tours can pick you up there. Staff is friendly. I agree with earlier review that more shade trees would be nice but an awning on the RV works just fine for me. Great facilities for family entertainment.

One of my favorite KOAs. The whole campsite is so green and open, you can see the stars perfectly, the pond is charming and the whole place is kept up really well. They do an amazing job keeping the grass super plush and green.

(Translated by Google) Very nice campsite near the Niagara Falls. From here, during the day (about every 30 minutes) a public bus to the falls. The complex is very well maintained and everything is clean. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Water, sewage and electrical connection to each pitch available. On our tour the most expensive place with $ 130 for a 30 foot caravan pitch. Nevertheless highly recommended.

I had an okay stay. I would not go back nor recommend it to others. I got the deluxe tent site with water/electric (site 90). It was infested with crickets! And you will have the porch light from the cabin across beaming into your tent ALL night. The highway didn’t bother me much. Quiet hours were abided by mostly. The site are either small, too close together and on a hill. There are few trees. I was told the beetles took them over so they were cut down. So, it is very open. There were activities happening, but I never saw them.

This is a great location and the property is very nice and clean. It is in between a highway and a busy road so there was traffic noise but the proximity to the falls made up for the noise.

Very nice campground! I did find it rather expensive for the off season. We only stayed two nights due to the cost.

One of our favorite KOA camping experiences. Fishing ponds, lots of nature. Friendly people who staff this place and have alot of knowledge. This place being on Grand island has it's own little close community. Our cabin was modern and up to date. Definatly the place youd want to go back to

Conveniently located so that you can visit south of the island and north various tourist spots w/o driving excessively

👍👍 We just travelled 5000 plus miles, stayed at 13 RV parks, and Hall Co Park was our number one favorite! Level RV spaces, surrounded by green grass. Nearby bike trail, beautiful views. Decent showers, dump station, and friendly people. Ck out our photos. 😍
