SO much local art (there is a specific program name, which I forget). Our local friends took us visitors up and down the main street. We even ran into a bagpipe and Celtic dancers group - best I've ever heard. I could've used a public restroom or two - I saw the Sign but not the place. On a weekday evening the parking was easy, convenient and free. Of course, the art was the best part.

Very weird vibe. Was ignored in Several stores. Never greeted like other customers when entering stores. In a restaurant, not waited on or spoken to for 15 mins. ( It was not slammed & had several wait staff walking around) Even had a couple outwardly aggressive looks. Very unnerving. Later we were informed by a local the history of the town & researched the bronze statutes in the area which explained alot. "Walter Walker"

I came to Grand Junction to visit a canine friend who moved here last year from Oregon. So I had zero expectations about the town. Yet I found it delightful, charming, artistic and hip. The dog (Memphis a boxer) and her human parents and I went to a nighttime farmers market, brews and music festival, and the vibe was all what you would hope for from a middle sized Colorado town. Laid back, family friendly.

Fun shopping and eating establishments. The sidewalks were safe, and auto traffic was minimal.

I love the look of this small towns downtown area. Everything from the businesses it holds to the food and atmosphere. There you will find art displays along it's main street and many hidden treasures can be found in this small lovely neighborhood

Literally the worst idea of parking ever implemented. No exaggerating - 3 parking spots PER BLOCK! Other than that it's a decent downtown.

Parade of lights took about 2 1/2 hours of wonder of the light s it was nice but very long. It was the 'Jurassic Christmas' theme 2023 . Lots of different floats this year. To long for the kids to see Santa we felt early . .

Enjoyed a warm summer night (after 7pm) in Downtown Grand Junction. A sweet little downtown with beautiful flowers, fun boutiques and eateries. We stopped @ Gelato Junction and had some delicious homemade gelato (Samoa Cookie). Give it a try next time your in town!

Beautiful downtown. A lot of variety of shops. Amazing food, awesome art spots and many others that we didn't get to. We will be going back sometime this year or next year.

I love Downtown Grand Junction all year long, during the Christmas Holiday it is even better. Uniquely Yours and Colorado Baby both locally owned stores are awesome.

Great selection of stores and restaurants, a few entertainment venues as well, free parking on main st., surrounding areas and lots are metered. Great variety of stores for local souvenirs and perfect for holiday and gift shopping. Summer farmers markets, first Friday art walks and amazing holiday lights, carriage rides and unique vendors. Antiques, games, books, arts & crafts, and small businesses. A must see for all.

The downtown area was quaint with cozy restaurant patios and beautiful greenery along the walkways. I sat to have lunch across from a public restroom, and there seemed to be a party in one particular bathroom stall; people even brought their bikes in. As I sat there, another individual walked by my table who was happier than a clam; he was flailing his arms, making sounds, and struggling to maintain balance. Another individual on a bike shouted profanities at a car driving by. I’ve been to Downtown Grand Junction twice so I’m certainly not a local. My late concern though was for the safety of not only myself but for those individuals I observed.

Being there at a cold winters day was most likely different than on a summers day. It was a bit empty as it was cold, but I thing it will be a very nice place on a summers day. At least it was not all done for cars but there were room for walking down the main street.
