Great venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Serve soft drinks and adult beverages. Also has an elevator to the mezzanine.

I love this theatre! The subtle mix between the old theatre from the 1920s and the modern renovations make for a very cool vibe! Every performance I’ve ever been to here has been great, and I can’t wait to visit more in the future! Such an awesome place!

Don't miss the chance to see a show at this amazing place. Love being able to enjoy a walk down town and watch a show after. It's new restoration looks amazing and the performances are amazing. Make a afternoon of shoping dinner and a live show. What more could you ask for.

The Avalon is my favourite venue in Grand Junction!!! It's comfortable, beautiful and historic. Acoustically it holds up to any type of performance and there's not a bad seat in the house! (I HIGHLY recommend checking out their website for security and bag/purse policies. It will save you frustration of an unnecessary trip back to your car.)

I enjoyed this venue! I found parking just around the corner and did not have to pay. My seat was the best in the house and the refreshment lines moved quickly. "Cherish The Ladies" The Celtic group regaled us with fun traditional music. While a leaping dancing toe tapping young man energized the show as the ladies spiced it with Irish stories and wit.

Wonderful show, acoustics were excellent. The carpeting going upstairs is unacceptable. Please replace it!

I thoroughly loved the 2 acts, 3 Dog Night and the young man from the Denver area. The only gripe I have is the Avalon should've told people that purses were not allowed, ahead of time.

We haven't been to the Avalon Theatre in about a year. What was not a great experience last time, is only surpassed by a continued bad experience this time. Nakita Biahlia, who claims to be the general manager, was working "door security" and they are now only allowing a handbag that is smaller than 12"×12"×12" inside. Much smaller than an average ladies handbag. We had to walk back to the parking lot and put the handbag in our vehicle....wife's hand bad was 12×14. Until the city of GJ gets involved in the policies and procedures of the company they have hired to run a venue that is owned by the citizens we won't be back!!!!

Went to see Samantha Fish. Left before it was over as it was incredibly loud. Concerts are loud, but this was impossible to enjoy. Not the first time this has happened there.

First time visiting. Staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the show immensely-Christopher Cross. For an older theater, thought the seating would be a little more generous.

The music was good ,but it was so hot and airless inside it was hard to enjoy the concert. The Avalon was better before they added that monstrosity onto the side of it. Totally wasted space off to the side. The ventilation in this theater is nonexistent. Too bad the city didn't hire an architect that knew what he was doing . We had good seats but was not a good experience

It was clean, staff were very helpful and, respectful. The sound system is good but the place is very small. Alcoholic drinks are similarly priced with other venues at $8.00 plus per item

Saw The Mavericks band. My wife and I had a great experience there. We had the ability to see the band up close and we're not bothered by security for doing that. Everyone at the concert was polite and we all had a good time. Would go there again to see another band.

Seemed the venue has made significant improvements since the last time I was there. Seats, in the orchestra were comfy enough for a 2.5 hr show. Bathrooms were nice & clean. I did not check out concessions. Acoustics could get better, would be my only gripe. But my hearing is not the same as it was 20 years ago. LOL

Nice theater. We saw the Airmen there. Good acoustics and the theater can accommodate a good number people. The concession stand is a nice touch.
