This place is wonderful! It is so cool that it is run by Mesa’s hospitality program, and all of the students and staff were so professional and made me feel so welcome and at ease. They provide a pass to the University gym, which has an AMAZING pool for swimming laps. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was modern and stylish, and I had a glorious view of the sunrise on the national monument each morning. My only complaint - the smart TV kept turning itself on! Happened once in the middle of the night, not ideal.

Hands down BEST cleanest hotel I have stayed in while traveling and dog allowed hotel. All animals were well behaved. Smelled fresh. Hotel felt amazing. Normally when traveling with a four legged companion you accept a lower class hotel but this was 10/10! Trying the restaurant tomorrow but at this rate I am sure to be pleased with it as well!

One of the worst places we have stayed. We had someone do some damage to our car when it was parked out in the dark we reported it to the young lady at the front desk she said she would tell her manager she did not take our information. We found that to be the case with pretty much all the staff. They need to have specific parking for hotel guests. Too bad they cater to the restaurant guests and leave the hotel people park out where it really isn't that well lit plus it's a long walk to the front door Funny if you take a look at the parking around 10:00PM the lot is empty as the restaurant is closed I might add none of the cars we saw had a parking pass what a joke Our experience was sort of like staying in a dorm teens, dogs running around every where

Undoubtedly the best place to stay in Grand Junction. We were passing through and couldn’t decide if we should stay here or somewhere closer to the freeway…thank god we decided to drive a couple of extra minutes. Absolutely worth it. On a side note…apparently we left a shirt in the room when we left. This is one of the very few hotels that have ever bothered to reach out after we had left something behind. It actually says a lot about the company culture of the place and the quality of the people they hire.

I normally stay at hotels right off the exit, but the few extra minutes to reach the hotel were well worth it. The hotel was clean, new, and the beds were crazy comfortable! I slept like a baby. The coffee shop downstairs was very convenient, and offered free drip coffee as part of the stay. My room had a balcony, and it was nice sitting outside after the heat settled down. The hotel is located on a college campus, and made me feel very safe. The downtown area is minutes away by car, and has numerous shops and restaurants. I won't stay anywhere else the next time I'm traveling through Grand Junction. Luxurious accommodations for a reasonable price.

My wife and I recently drove cross-country with our dog. Of all the hotels, motels, and B&B’s we stayed at Hotel Maverick was the one that was most accommodating of our dog. When we arrived our dog was given treats and the room, itself, contained food and bowls, and a dog bed that our puppy enjoyed as much as his own. The toiletries provided by Hotel Maverick were high quality, the room spacious, and the bed comfortable. Bottled water was available for free at the front desk. The hotel staff were friendly and gracious.

Amazing hotel in grand junction overlooking a college campus. Plenty of safe parking and great places to run nearby. They also have a fanatic rooftop restaurant with a great bar. The old fashioned is great! To top that off they have a great deck outdoors with fire pits and views of the mountain. They also have a beautiful hot tub. Remember to grab a beer upstairs. The coffee shop for breakfast is convenient, altough the breakfast sandwiches take a few minutes to prepare.

Excellent hotel addition to Grand Junction. Clean, modern, convenient. Having a restaurant with good food and free access to the college campus gym (5 min walk) gave me some time back in my night. Also dog friendly - for a fee. Lobby coffee shop adds to the convenience in the morning. Shout out of appreciation to the young lady working on her own early this morning who probably served about 40 people in 30 minutes. I will staying here on all future cross-county trips.

What an amazing hotel, and amazing staff. Visiting my daughters today at CMU, I realized that I never thanked Hotel Maverick and The Devils Kitchen for a stay in 2021. A terrible, terrible, thing happened to one of my daughters fiends in Denver. I got to GJ as fast as I could to console my freshman. I called The Hotel Maverick and explained the situation. They got me right in and waived the fee for my dog because I had nowhere to take her. Everyone was over the top kind. Although Devils Kitchen had just closed, and they don’t do room service, the front desk let us order food and they delivered it to our room. I’ll never forget how subtly supportive the staff was. It made everything a tiny bit easier to deal with. And that was everything. Again, thanks so much. KC

If you need access to the campus, and are looking for a nice, clean, comfortable place, THIS IS THE HOTEL. I've heard it's run by the hospitality kids at the college, and the work they put in is top notch. I highly recommend you hit Devil's Kitchen while there. Amazing flavor, color and textures. We will be back sometime soon for a vacation with the whole family. (No pool - only a hot tub. There are balcony rooms on one side. Nice to relax in the evening with a drink. You have to chrome cast for TV, but wifi is free.)

While the hotel is quite lovely, the hot tub was out of service and the guy at reception didn’t know about it. Chocolates were to be in the room as party of the amenity fee and I had to let them know they weren’t there. They quickly got them to the room but I shouldn’t have had to ask. Bed was comfortable. The location is lovely on the college campus. Seems a bit pricey for what we got in Grand Junction. I would have given them 5 stars if the price was more aligned with what we received. Very pet friendly. Aside from the distracted guy at reception, everyone was very nice. All in all I would stay at the hotel again. We also really enjoyed the restaurant in the fourth floor.

The rooms are lovely, the beds are comfy, the restaurant is wonderful, the coffee shop is perfect, the staff were all so nice! The location is ideal and central but quiet. I didn't bring my dog this time but love that it's dog friendly and will bring her next time. I will definitely be back. The nicest hotel in GJ hands down. I appreciate the hotel's quick reply to my review, a testament to the great service!

Derrick was very helpful and understanding when I called and explained our situation, my sister was in labor with my niece and she wasn't far enough along to stay at the Blooming Babies Birthing center and they live too far away to go home so he was able to get us an early check in. They a room was great and close to the elevator and ice and vending machine. All staff was amazing and helpful. What a beautiful hotel with everything you need on site. Thanks again for helping us out during such a high stress time. They made it back to the Birthing center and everything went so smoothly Mom and baby are doing great!!

Weary after a long day of driving we arrived at this Oasis. Super friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Clean and updated hotel. Beautiful. Super dog friendly! My pup was greeted with a bandana and a cookie. Bowls and dogs also available. Great place!

Fabulous hotel run by an amazing group of people. This hotel find is a true gem of hidden gems. From the moment we called about booking to stepping foot at the property we were excited to stay here. The hotel is located close to campus and the grounds are exceptionally clean. As you walk in you are greeted with a gorgeous space filled with ample seating for you to wait for a guest or read a good book. The team working in the hotel is amazing and super helpful. They welcomed our family with two dogs with open arms - YES you read that right they are pet friendly. They have dog beds in the room upon request and they even give your furry friends the cutest welcome gift ever. Each pup gets a Hotel Maverick bandana and a Colorado cookie made by a local barkery. The rooms are a little small but there was still plenty of space for all of us. The beds were amazing. Like extremely comfortable and everything in the room felt fresh and updated. There is also a restaurant conveniently located on the top floor and it serves some amazing food and dessert. We enjoyed cocktails with a view as well through the floor to ceiling windows.

Great staff. We were greeted when we checked in last night by Lisa and James (intern) -- they were astonishingly nice, friendly and helpful! The festival we came to Grand Junction to see was cancelled they offered us other options and sites to see in the area. The room was gorgeous and cold (great AC). Great little cafe Betty's is really nice as well. We got up this morning and came out to a flat tire on an RV. Called Firestone where we bought the tires and they did not want to be bothered with changing the tire. Mark the maintenance guy went above and beyond by getting a jack and helping my boyfriend change the tire. All Mark asked for in return was "come back to our hotel and stay here." Really? Hotel Maverick -- you have some awesome employees! Please reward them. Thanks for making our stay which really turned out to be drive-to-grand-junction-to stay-in-your-hotel and then turn around and drive back to Denver.

Chic, Gorgeous, modern hotel. Great accommodations, comfy bed, awesome shower. My husband and I have stayed in some real dumps in these tiny little mountain towns where we like to travel, so the Maverick was quite luxurious in comparison. The ONE downside is that room service was horrible!! We asked 3 different times for more towels & were told they would send someone up to our room. They simply never came so my husband used the extra blanket in the closet as a towel!

Super clean, easy check in by Paige, and beautiful hotel. Check in took about 3 minutes and our room was ready. Paige at the front desk was so knowledgeable and kind. We ate at the restaurant on site and it was very good. Perhaps a bit pricey , but tasty. Rooms were quiet and well appointed. Shower could use some definite improvement with water pressure, but overall, a wonderful hotel which will be our go to place when in town.

The staff was incredibly nice and amazing, didn't see any bugs in my room. Very modern. It didn't smell like a hotel either. However, the beds are very firm, not a fan felt like i was sleeping on the floor. Pillows are also rough. Blankets sound like windbreaker pants. The floor was nasty, spilt water and wiped it up and the paper towel was black. Nasty. But it's a floor. Showers are nice, but the pump soap hadn't been changed out (for all I know someone could've put Nair in them) the towels were VERY scratchy. The rooms are pretty small. The headboard had left dirt/wood dust on the pillows, hopefully just from age and not bugs. Didn't feel very safe either. Just felt eerie the stay. Accommodating to pets, cleaner than other pet hotels I've been in.. would I stay again? Probably not. It's just a little too pricey for what it actually is.

Just delightful. Immaculate and well designed space with flawlessly incorporated views of the surrounding area. The entire hotel is comfortable and beautiful. Loved all the finishes and was excited to find Beekman toiletries. Had a great night’s sleep in the perfectly fluffed bed. The staff are lovely and professional. Cannot comment on the food because this was a late road stop for us but would have loved to try the restaurant. upstairs for the deck setting alone.
