When I purchased a season ticket, I did so with the understanding that the GJSO did not require proof of a Covid shot to enter their venues. If I do not receive a prompt refund, I will make a formal complaint to the Colorado AG and BBB. No allowance is being made for those with natural immunity or those for whom the Vax is contraindicated, or who have a religious exemption. This is very bad policy and customer service, and is probably illegal. Fortunately, our other nearby western slope orchestra: the Valley Symphony, holds its concerts in the Montrose Pavillion and has not made such a requirement. So concert-goers who are against mandatory vaccines can find great musical entertainment with the VSO: Valleysymphony.net

Only a certain element of society may now enjoy the symphony due to new policies requiring proof of injection with an experimental substance. Absolutely no exceptions. I will not patronize establishments that will not uphold the values of Liberty and Justice that our country are founded on.

So sad to see an organization with a mission statement promoting unity openly discriminate against a particular group of people in our community. Nearly half of our community in fact. I will never support anyone that practices medical apartheid and segregation. You really should be ashamed.

Use to look forward to musical events. Now they have become the Medical Police. Show your papers. Too bad the community is no longer recognized.

I used to look forward to attending GJSO events. Demanding anyone participate in any medical procedure is immoral and unconstitutional. You play music, you do not have medical authority over anyone. Requiring a test is also immoral and unconstitutional. I will not longer attend any GJSO event nor will the rest of my entire circle of family and friends.

I look forward to a time when people will not judge a symphony orchestra based on politics, but on musical aesthetics. Thank goodness there is a group of musicians that make up an orchestra right here on the Western Slope! Thank you for your efforts and we will support your musicianship.

My husband and I were in classical music heaven during yesterday's performance! After living for 20 years in an area with no symphony orchestra, this is something I'll never take for granted again.

My wife and I have enjoyed this marvelous group of musicians for years, journeying from Montrose to do so. Music Director Charles Latshaw is a hoot in himself, delivering entertaining and informative (optional, as he says, but irresistible!) talks at intermission. Especially enjoyed last month's Rhapsody in Blue concert where the orchestra did so well on the eponymous piece, and really nailed Red Cape Tango. Whew! Still brings a smile to our faces. We are fortunate to have this musical resource in our backyard.

I am really enjoying our new season. Charles Latshaw is wonderful. I love his little "talks" during the first part of intermission, and appreciate that he still gives us time to stretch our legs in the lobby. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

GJSO is an amazing organization, and the people of Grand Junction should consider themselves extremely lucky to have access to such a high-quality Symphony experience. Given the size of our community, you could not ask for more from such an institution. The seasonal concert programs are fresh and fun while attracting musical guests from all over the world. They also offer smaller specialty concert experiences in a variety of settings around the Grand Valley. The staff here are extremely kind and second to none in the non-profit space. We look forward to many more years as season ticket holders and supporters of the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra.
