Restaurant Guatemalan restaurant

👍👍 I’m a Guatemalan living in Texas. I miss my mom’s meals, and searching through the internet, I was able to find this Guatemalan bakery and restaurant. I took my wife and daughter for breakfast, and it was a great visit. The service was excellent, our waiter was very friendly, and it was fun talking... People often mention Guatemalan,

I’m a Guatemalan living in Texas. I miss my mom’s meals, and searching through the internet, I was able to find this Guatemalan bakery and restaurant. I took my wife and daughter for breakfast, and it was a great visit. The service was excellent, our waiter was very friendly, and it was fun talking to her about where she was from in Guatemala. We took some pan dulce ”sweet bread” home to have with our afternoon coffee. We are definitely coming back for lunch next time.

Tiny Guatemalan jewel in the sea of Mexican panaderias around. The food was amazing and customer service is excellent. The place is cozy and clean. And I repeat myself, food tastes amazing. We will definitely come back soon.

Love this place plus the service was top notch, super friendly and the food was great. We have the Agua Blanca breakfast plate and the tortillas were handmade and freshly made. Recommend to all if looking for a Guatemalan breakfast or food. They made us feel so welcome and heartwarming.

Great little hole in the wall Guatemalan restaurant. I don't have much to compare it to because I think it might be the only authentic Guatemalan restaurant and panadería that I've been to. It's kind of intermixed with the land of a thousand taquerias and a fun find. It's just a couple doors down from a Mexican panadería and taqueria, so if the family can't decide, pick both! The "sweet breads" at the Guatemalan restaurant aren't as sweet as the pastries and breads at Mexican panaderias, but I kind of enjoy that. The differences are subtle but obvious. I mostly stopped for bread and a Agua fresca, horchata specifically, but I'll be trying more of their menu down the line. Nice people, good drink, tasty bread, and an authentic feel even if I'm not sure what authentic is in this case. Worth a visit.

Food here was amazing, very authentic. I had a hard time choosing a dish. Also home made tortillas :) a place I definitely recommend and would go back anytime. The place does need an update look.
