Something to remember, they only take cash here. Yesterdog is a must visit if you want delicious, melt in your mouth hot dogs. "Melt in your mouth" may seem like a weird description for hot dogs, but it is a tribute to the skill with which they are prepared. Perfectly layered with toppings, the flavors meld together in sweet, food harmony. This is a Grand Rapids must visit. I've had every one of their hot dog offerings and you will not be disappointed with whatever you order. The staff is wonderful here too and they don't make you wait long to enjoy your meal, even when there is a line. They make the dogs quickly and get people moving. The atmosphere is like a step back in time. It's a fun experience overall and hot dogs that will make you question every other way you've ate hot dogs in your life.

If you’re in Grand Rapids and looking for a place to eat try Yesterdog. Staff was really nice. This place has a small town feel where everyone knows everyone and are friendly. NOTE: this place is CASH ONLY Coming from Chicago, these aren’t your typical crunchy hotdog they’re very soft and almost melt in your mouth with all the toppings 🤤so good. The cheddar dog was my fave.

Great place to have a hotdog. Cash only. Several different styles, even the simplest one has lots of toppings so you will need lots of napkins. I’ve been to several hotdog places in town and this one is my favorite. Can be a long line around noon., but they serve them up pretty fast.

Everything is great! I do have my favorites, cheddar dogs with pickle, kraut dogs and killer dogs. The restaurant decor is fun and there are many antique items, but also pictures of restaurant fans in their Yesterday shirts displayed on the walls. The team working here have a system and a do a fantastic job! Please support them! You won't be disappointed!

Fast, cheap, and scrumptious! They only take cash, and only serve hotdogs, but it's a great stop for a bite with the kids or something to tide you over after the bar. The staff are really friendly.

My girlfriend mentioned this place a few times and we finally went. Restaurant itself is super cool with lots to look at. Had an old pay phone booth (don’t know if it works or not). Workers seemed stressed and rushed while taking orders even though there weren’t many people there. Not rude but nothing to be proud of. Service was quick and food was hot. We ordered to go, the messiness was beyond what I had imagined. We ordered 5 total dogs and the bottom of the bag was soaked in sauces and the napkins too. We started unwrapping and eating the dogs and they were very good. I could not take any pictures as my hands were covered in toppings by just reaching in the bag. DO NOT PLAN ON EATING THESE IN YOUR CAR. Eat at the restaurant or take home. They should use better wrapping for to go orders.

Yesterdog is always the place we go to when we visit Grand Rapids. It’s worth it every time. The food is wonderful and the staff if great. It’s cash only, so be prepared for that. The head shop next door has an ATM but they seem rude when you use it.

Yesterdog is always a cool place to go. Not so much for the food but more the experience. The hot dogs are nothing special but the process although chaotic is kind of cool and how they take orders and serve you. It is cash only which is a little bit annoying but if you know in advance it's all good.

Super old-skool spot, and the coneys are bomb! Definitely worth seeking if in Grand Rapids.

Delivered dogs from across town via Door Dash. I requested to have the “chili on the side”, and they were not able to accommodate. The dogs were soggy (as predicted), but still had good snap and flavor. They didn’t come labeled by item so my partner and I had to play a guessing game.

Omg wat a gem In the middle East town. A very neat hot dog spot that has hundred of pieces if old nostalgic toys, bikes, posters and signs. They have a saloon feel with cute barstools. Obama was here, as well as, Stanley Lee and many celebrities photos. Love this spot and there open late.Tried the cheddar dog and ultimate dog..Ate them both I'm embarrassed to say ..but that good. Friendly customer service. A must go to. You'll come back...I will

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Grand Rapids! The experience is so neat and the service is quick. I always get 2cheddar dogs (chili and cheese) and it's the perfect amount. They are very quick and you get your tray and find a seat. The inside of the restaurant is just as unique, people have carved their initials into just about every surface and there are pictures on the walls of people who have been there. I will always recommend this place!

Still the same ol way they've done dogs for decades. Nostalgia is evident everywhere. Cash only. Eating in is imperative for non smushed buns. Staff is amazing

Simply delicious. Always a nice fun stop and on a cold day like today it's warm and comforting to step into for a very affordable bite to eat.

If all you care about is a warm, moist hot dog piled high with soupy chili and fluffy shredded cheddar that will satisfy your taste buds for less than $5 (cash, of course), you'll be satisfied. Luckily, that's literally all I care about, and it's really all you should care about too. If you want to take your time ordering or sit in a booth that isn't 50 years old, this probably isn't the place for you. IMO, that's the beauty of it.

Not as good as I remembered from years ago. Still good, don't get me wrong, but nothing special. The dogs themselves were not hot, more like lukewarm, so the cheese did not melt on them. The bun, cheese, chili, onions and pickle were all great, it is the dogs themselves that I think are lacking. Even though it was around 70 degrees outside it was more like 80+ degrees inside, but they do offer some limited seating out on the side walk. It is cash only which I think is 100% fine, but just realize that before you go. All in all decent, but Grand Rapids has better chili dog offerings that don't require paid parking.

Had a wonderful time with the family. Great atmosphere and fun food, quiet and family friendly. Don't think I would have gone if I didn't deliver furniture to the owner house. And I'm glad I did what a fun experiences. Thanks for the opportunity to injoy the atmosphere and fun experience.

i went tonight and got two cheddar dogs and the soup. 1. service was incredible even tho it was right before close and super busy 2. food was hot, the cheese was in abundance and SO melty good 3. u have outdone yourselves with the soup i truly was expecting campbells quality but it’s so mf delicious. i showed the soup and the soda, hot dogs gone too fast to get a pic.
