Fu gardens is one of my favorite Chinese takeout spots. I am vegan and the owners have no problems veganizing dishes for me. The lunch combos are less than 6$. It includes your main dish, fried rice, crab cheese and a drink. The first picture is my favorite, the kung pao chicken (no chicken add broccoli) lunch combo (i give my crab cheeses to my kids). The second picture is broccoli and bean curd (i believe that was the name of it, the owner surprised me with it💖) .

So I find myself eating at every restaurant I come across. This one is .3 miles from where I currently live I read all the reviews and decided I needed something.. the one star reviews are very misleading, I never have expectations for a restaurant but I was expecting moderate to okay food.. most Chinese places will add sugar to everything… ‘‘twas a pleasant surprise to taste food from Beijing again they were super polite had no issues with my special order and made it with supreme accuracy I was greeted with a smile and was even offered a goodbye and nod of the head or bow of the head which is a sign of thanks and respect I will return with friends

Don't let this private small take-out restaurant discourage you from trying them! There food is always fantastic. And you pay for extremely generous portions. They have the best prices of any Chinese Take Out in Grand Rapids MI and the best food always with generous portions. They make it fast, with quality and always package it well. I have always loved their food. Although I now live on the Southeast side of town, I would rather order from them than anywhere else. I have never, ever been disappointed. There food rivals any full service Chinese Restaurant. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

The sesame chicken and the beef lo mein were very good! We usually order similar things whenever we get Chinese, and these dishes were just as good as other local places. Two things we were not impressed with: 1. They don't offer orange chicken as a menu item 2. The egg roll included with the meal option had maybe two shreds of cabbage in it. It was basically just a deep fried egg roll wrapper. Thankfully we don't love these anyway. Will return, regardless.

I moved back to Michigan after living in other states for 6 total years or so. The food is still amazing like I remember it.

I am so irritated. My boyfriend and i come here all the time and it’s usually fine for a mediocre chinese place. This time i called to place a takeout order and ordered egg drop soup and an order of the Crab Rangoons/Wontons. When i picked it up and opened it up at my boyfriends house i was surprised to see he gave me Wonton Soup instead of the Crab Rangoons I asked for. I politely called and asked for the Wonton appetizer i didn’t get and they said they would remake it for me. Then when I went to pick it up, he handed me ANOTHER order of Wonton soup. I tried explaining that this was not at all what i ordered the first or second time but there was no way to get through to him. I would not recommend ordering here ever because you will not get what you asked for and will waste your time.

I love supporting small businesses, so it pains me to give a negative review. The food was good, but the place was filthy. Every table was dirty and sticky and the bathroom…I couldn’t use it it was so dirty. Even the walls were dirty. Ugh! It left me concerned for the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen.

I started going to this place since it was close-by and it's good for budget; I love it. I've had other Chinese food from other places but I always find myself returning to this one because the other's I've tried simply cannot compare. It's quick, always warm, a very good portion for an individual, and reliable. I'll definitely keep coming back here, and also: there are so many food options! I don't think I'll ever grow out of this place since there are so many options to move onto if I get tired of the old thing. If you are close-by, swing by; guy is super sweet and the feel of the small place is inviting :)

Fu Garden is not what you expect from a small Chinese take-out restaurant. The vegetables are always fresh and crunchy, the chicken is tender eating with no gristle. It's all flavored very well by a chef who really knows how to balance flavors. Lots of food for the money here, too, I don't know how they do that.

One of the BEST Chinese places around. In a quiet, unassuming strip mall off of Cowell. This place rocks! The food is always outstanding, and decent portions!! Can't praise this place enough!! It only sits a few people and it's got some wear and tear, but the food is the best. 12 out of 10!

Almond chicken and Szechuan Beef were excellent. The house fried rice has plenty of shrimp. Will be coming back.

The portions were outstanding, the food was made fast and the cost fair. The rice was cooked well. However, the General Tso chicken was flavorless with no spice at all. The Crab Meat ragoons were under filled and seemed to be old. I would not recommend this food if you’re looking for an authentic meal. A quick fair priced meal is what you’re going to get.

My family and I have been very happy customers for a few years now. A Westside gem that offers the best price, yummy food, fast service and consistency. The owner is a very nice, humble man that has very gracious hospitality. He is always very accommodating with special requests. Nothing on the menu is worth a complaint. We love supporting local and having a quick and satisfying meal frequently. Thank you f.u gardens.

First time eating here in years. Food was good but was disappointed in the shrimp egg foo young. Every restaurant I have ever got it at served it up as a lightly browned omelet type patties. This one was served soupy in an aluminum pan.
