One of the best things about grand rapids. This park is always week maintained and stretches along the grand River for miles. There are parts of this park I could and have, spent hours relaxing.

Loved this park! It has different areas of sports, walking dogs, picnic tables and such. It is big enough that you will never feel crowded and the different views of the river and ponds is glorious. It is very clean.

This is such a nice park. Wide open spaces, beautiful view of the river, and a fun little playground for kids. Easy access and parking. Great for a walk any time of day. Best in fall with the beautiful changing of leaves.

We went on a guided kayak tour on the Grand River and it was fantastic! The city did a great job planning and executing the trip, we were on the water for about an hour and a half and the instructor was knowledgeable and nice. Would love to visit again!

Great place to run. They have a free 5k called parkrun that meets here almost every Saturday. I’ve had two cross country races here and they were fantastic. There are extensive paved paths in addition to the dirt trails and the whole area is shaded and almost perfectly flat which is perfect for long runs or time trials. The white pine trail goes through/starts in this park and goes all the way to Cadillac.

One of my favorite parks in Grand Rapids. Close to home, HUGE, and beautiful. Cottonwood in the park is a bit irritating during May-June, though and it is not as well kept and cleaned up. Still the park I frequent the most, but that is because it is so large and very close.

River Side Park in Grand Rapids, MI, is a stunning location that offers a diverse range of outdoor activities. The park's beauty is captivating, making it an excellent spot for walking, jogging, biking, and even dog walking. The scenic views and well-maintained trails create a perfect atmosphere for relaxation and exercise. The disc golf course adds an exciting dimension to the park, providing an enjoyable experience for disc golf enthusiasts of all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner, you'll find plenty of fun challenges on the course. However, it's essential to be cautious while strolling along the riverbank. There's waist-high poison ivy covering some areas, so it's crucial to be mindful of your surroundings and stay on designated paths to avoid any unwanted encounters. Additionally, for those interested in boating, the park offers a convenient boat launch, making it easy to explore the waterways and enjoy a leisurely day on the river. Overall, River Side Park in Grand Rapids is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. With its beautiful scenery, diverse activities, and disc golf course, it's an ideal place to spend quality time in nature. Just remember to be mindful of the poison ivy and follow the designated paths to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Riverside Park is a wonderful Park if you want to take nice long walks, for it is a nice long Park LOL. Lots of bodies of water around for gorgeous scenery + trees, geese, and they have playgrounds. Lots of picnicking areas and grills as well. I went there to partake in the powwow which I often do every year.

Such a pretty place all year long, great walking path and super stunning nature to take photos of. Decent sized parking lot so even on a busy day you’ll most likely get a parking spot.

Really enjoyed this park...me and mom attended a pow-wow, there. Seems to be a great park...only went to one portion of said park...seemed very peaceful. Would recommend for a family visitation or whatever the preference may be.

The Park is beautiful, perfect for walking, jogging, biking and dog walking. Just be careful walking along the river. It is covered with waist high poison ivy.

Food Truck Fridays baby, that's where it's at!! If you haven't gone to one, you need to. We finally were able to go to one two weeks ago for the first time. Granted we only had 30 minutes before they shut down but we still was able to get food and drink!! Of you go try Kona Ice, Arcane Pizza (the pizza is out of this world), and Corner Twist (always a pleasure getting a pretzel from him)!!

Incredible for a inner city park to have so much to offer. Probably one of the best overall bike paths in Grand Rapids. Smooth flat blacktop pavement and really tall trees for shade. It stays nice and cool along the river. During the summer it hosts Food Truck Fridays from 5-8 Disc Golf tournaments Water festival Corgi Festival Pride Events HS Rowing Regattas and Cross country meets Soccer , Rugby , baseball, softball, Kickball Plus more stuff ! My only wish is it had a dedicated dog park.

Beautiful park that runs Miles along the river. Base ball fields, pong pong tables. Frisbee golf, fishing on docks and river side, paved bicycle trail, safe for the kids, grills, pavilions and restrooms.

So much beautiful open space. Lots of ways to utilize this gem in Grand Rapids. Lots of open walking, jogging spaces. Park benches to enjoy the park and water front. Several areas for kids to play. The park allows for picnics, enjoying the open spaces with your dog as well.

This is one of my favorite parks to go to for hammocking. There is a disc golf course though so keep that in mind when choosing a place to sit/picnic/hammock. There are gendered restrooms with two stalls each just north of the playground, and there is a pavilion right by the restrooms. I've seen quite a few people fishing by the area where the playground is so that may be a nice spot to set up for anyone who enjoys fishing.
