Got my order wrong three times charged me for things I never asked for and double charged me for an item. They refused to make it right so we just spent extra money for food that was cold and stale the second we got it. The fries were so stale and soggy that they were inedible. We tried to air fry them ourselves to salvage them but unfortunately it was not enough to make them crispy or to cover up the taste of stale fry grease. This location is a waste of money and has terrible service do not go here.

This place has gone downhill so much. The employees are rude, slow, and unhygienic. You can hear them swearing at each other while you're sitting at the drive through window. They handed me my food with a vape in their hands. They close the drive through whenever they want, so you can be sitting at the speaker for 5 minutes and no one will talk to you. Today my fries were old and my side of cheese was 1/4 full with a hair in it.

Horrible service - asked for a strawberry banana shake and said they couldn’t do it even though both are listed on menu. So I said forget it and ordered the frisco melt. Not even cut. Rude employees especially who took my order Dionne who talked to me like I was a 5 year old. Please adjust your staffs attitude when hiring.

It sucked. My chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake was pretty much a vanilla one with like 3 pieces of cookie dough. The hamburgers used to be amazing here and now they taste cheap. There were no waiters whatsoever and the people who gave us the food didn't even say hello.

Burger and shakes were good. You are forced to order on kiosks and our gift card did not work. When I asked for help, I was told they were too busy (there was one other person dining in and two cars in the drive-through). The kiosk asks you to tip before you complete your order. I tipped because I thought we would get some kind of service, but no - you place the order on a kiosk, you pick it up at the counter, and you clean up your own trash. The place was filthy. We had to use a wet wipe on our own table and it was brown after wiping the table. The floor had trash on it and even the booster seat needed to be cleaned before using. We will not be returning to this location.

Absolutely the WORST experience I have ever had. I did an online order, and the worker, who was apparently the ONLY one there, he was so rude to me and my wife. He said he would cancel our order, but the order info still shows up on my app, and it still shows the pending transaction. I do not recommend anyone to go here for any meal. Customer experience 0/10.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. We ordered food on Door dash and order was confirmed. Went up to the door and the doors were locked. Drove around to the drive up window and explained that we were there for a pick up order. We were informed that the pick up orders should have been turned off, but they weren't. We had paid for our food already and I asked how they were going to fix the problem and I was told that it wasn't there problem. Service here is terrible. I would never recommend going here.

Steak & Shake doesn't disappoint. The food was fresh and accurate as we ordered it. Self serve kiosk are a nice feature. Restaurant was clean.

First of all I always hate their food here because it's always disgusting but we still go because my girlfriend likes it. This one was absolutely fantastic. Not to mention, there was a guy who came in while we were eating, clearly had a couple of screws loose, but none-the-less was upset about an experience he had days prior, in the same store. I was astonished by how common professional the manager was that had a conversation with him, talked about how he was sincerely sorry, and give the guy a free meal. Absolutely fantastic. The tall, male manager that was working today 5-27-23 around lunch, is saving your company!

We arrived on Sunday at 9, we were seated right away. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, banana pancakes, the skillet breakfast and kids meal chicken nuggets and fries with a chocolate shake. Food arrived timely, was fresh, pretty good. My nephew loves their special seasoning that sits on the table by the salt. I tried it and it was pretty good. Shake looked great! Service was good, nice and not slow. This is a good Steak n Shake, and I've been to several. As a bonus, kids under 12 eat free on weekends when the accompanying adult(s) spend over $9. (Doesn't include kids drink or dessert, only their kids plate.). Pretty clean place.

Such good food!! Unfortunately we don’t have a steak and shake in grand haven/spring lake, so it’s always nice to stop by when I’m visiting the mall in grandville!!! The garlic steak burger was so good, and definitely helped fuel my drive home!! My boyfriend and I also were each able to download the app and get a free milkshake as our first reward, so that was an awesome perk!! I’m surprised it wasn’t more busy in there, because that was honestly the best burger I’ve had from a fast food restaurant in a long time!! Plus, the employees were super friendly and made us feel welcomed!! Definitely will be coming back:)

The cashier was very nice and helpful. The burger was fresh , and tasted good. However the onion rings were obviously double fried, because they were super duper greasy, and cooked fast. I would be willing to wait longer for the onion rings to cook properly.

I ordered a burger it was amazing, I ordered a chocolate shake and I could hardly taste any chocolate in it. The floor was super sticky, some tables were absolutely disgusting, and the woman’s bathroom had used toiletries on the floor. Other than that the food was fresh and tasted yummy.

Came today for “kids eat free.” Apparently they stopped doing that way back when but yet still advertised. All manager could say was “it’s not me we still advertise for $4 meals and that’s not accurate. Food was good.

My wife and I were disappointed. There was only a couple of people inside the restaurant when my wife and I arrived and it still took a half hour to get our food. Chili was cold. So were the French fries. It felt as though the workers were more concerned about the drive thru, we watched cars come and go while we waited for our food. Not sure if we'll be back.

Food was good. But you have to order on a kiosk, pick up your food , and dispose of your waste yourself. Then they want you to give a tip? For what? Cooking. That is your job. One person wanted salt and they were told they had to order it from the kiosk. Really?

Place was clean , fast service, burguers were fresh and a really good taste , French Fries wasn't fully cooked and the onions rings were mushy. Nutella shake was very good it had a good amount of Nutella on it

Super oldies diner feel with a great food selection. The food was nongreasy and the service was great! Although we did self-order as no one worked the front and the AC was cranked up high, it was a great place to dine.

Steak and shake has gone 1000% downhill... There are no longer servers, nobody takes your order, you don't get greeted when you walk in anymore, there's like 3 people total in the whole place and everything is self-serve. The food was mediocre at best and I used to love this place... There's no personalization anymore it's like a robot restaurant now.

The food was decently priced and what I expected from Steak-N-Shake. What I didn't expect was to do all of the work except cooking, for myself, and then be asked for a tip (prior to me knowing I would be doing all of the work. When you walk in, there are about 4 kiosks to place your order (kind of like McDonalds has, but at least McDonalds still has someone who will take your order if you need it). You pay and leave an optional tip. You get a number and then go seat yourself. When your order is ready, someone yells your order number. You go up to the counter, where no one is there to help, and bring your own order back to your table. You eat, and then are expected to bus your own table by emptying the trays/baskets into the trash and putting the trays/baskets to the side. I understand post COVID, things are bound to be different, but if I had known i would be doing all of the work, I would have just stayed home.

My daughter is currently throwing up from food poisoning from this location. My wife had to go to the bathroom multiple times last night during sleep. My stomach is also in knots. And this is NOT the first time that has happened from this location…. We won’t be giving them another chance. You seriously shouldn’t either. I have been to this location over 25 times. - The food made sick one time last year - The food gave my son a stomach ache 1.5 years ago - The staff has always been very friendly - The food was never under cooked - We’ve had to throw out our shakes twice in the last 6 months. The shakes recently had SO much sugar in them that my kids said it burned their throats. I can confirm this. In the past the shakes were delicious from here. The plain vanilla shake tasted like actual sugar, raw sugar. They didn’t used to taste this way. We used to love this place 4 years ago but their quality is absolutely horrid lately. I don’t think it’s the staffs fault because they have had multiple staff changes and it seems consistently awful for the past couple years. Unfortunately we will never return. Its not worth the risk.

It had been so long (years) since I’ve had Steak & Shake, I was really looking forward to our meal. What a disappointment! My wife ordered a chocolate shake, but she was given a vanilla one instead. Both our hamburgers were ordered minus onions, but both had onions on them. Hamburgers were not overly warm, but the fries were almost cold, and needed some salt. This visit won’t stop me from going to Steak & Shake again, but if it was my first visit, I’d never go back.

First things first, the food was very good and fresh; however, not sure what the deal was with the burger patties being so small. I understand they don’t advertise a certain size on their patty, but this thing didn’t meet my expectations.
