A Taste Of India Grants Pass

Restaurant Indian restaurant

👍👍 It’s a very good Indian restaurant. Super friendly waitress served us. The food is gorgeously delicious. And price is also nice. More importantly they saved our Christmas Eve. People often mention chicken, good, Indian, recommend, amazing, spicy, ordered,

Excellent lunch buffet! Variety of vegan, vegetarian and meat options. Flavors are incredible and well executed. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be coming back.

I have never eaten worse indian food than what I had at this place. I had not eaten a decent meal for 2 days and was really looking forward to a decent lunch. The papadum was so stale that I can't even describe. It was cold and rubbery. The food was no better either. I nibbled on a few bites and just left. The tea was good though. I do NOT recommend this place🤮.

Some excellent Indian food. You can get all the dishes either mild, medium, or hot to control the spice. We got the chicken Karahi, delicious. The naan was also good, had some spices mixed in the dough. I would definitely give this place a try.

Fantastic food oh my, the flavor, the texture. It smells amazing! The lunch buffet has several vegetarian options, various stews of potatoes peas, beans, and diced vegetables. For the meat lovers; there are various curries/stews with chicken, their tandoori chicken is so tender and flavorful. There is a wide assortment of condiments; whether you like sweet, spicy or savory. Their Naan (soft flat bread) and Roti (crispy thin flatbread) are amazing. There are hot and cold beverages available upon request. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! This place is easily going to slide into being a regular stop for me when in Grants Pass

Truly high quality and authentic Indian cuisine. Some of the best I’ve had outside of home cooked Indian food. We come here every time we are in Grants Pass.

Very good food. Made fresh at the time of the order. Also, I was walking by one night as they were closing, I watched them bring out a full plate of food and a drink, giving it to a homeless man sitting outside. The man was so grateful and kept saying, "Don't worry, I won't leave a mess. Their response was, "Don't worry. It's OK, I know you won't. 10 stars. These are compassionate people who make amazing food.. who I am more then happy to recommend.

This is some of the best food in Grants Pass. Reading the negative reviews they've gotten is hilarious because you can tell it's from people who aren't familiar with Indian food. Amazing curry, the chicken Saag is perfect and creamy, and the garlic Naan is to die for. I highly recommend this place.

I had lunch here yesterday. Sub-par high cost indian food. Some chicken and rice w/ Naan cost $21.95. I found a beard hair caked in the naan. I asked for the Naan to be removed from the bill due to the hair. Owner told server to just give me another piece of naan to take with me and not remove it from the bill. Why does this have to be the only Indian restaurant in the area? lol. Anyway, I don't plan on eating there again and I don't recommend you do either.

Delicious food! We stopped on our way through to Ashland, it was very quick and good. The waitress was really nice and they were able to make things spicy for some and mild for others. Great experience, I'd recommend this food to anyone looking for a great meal!

This is my favorite restaurant in Grants Pass! Every few weeks I have to get their butter chicken curry with garlic naan. It's a bit pricey, but I don't mind at all because the portion is big enough to turn it into 2, sometimes three meals. For anyone who loves Indian food, or is curious to try it, I really recommend this place!

The food was so good it's now my favorite spot in grants pass. I plan to eat here many times to come. The portions are enough to take home for the next day's meal as well. The staff are nice and inviting. The only thing I recommend is keeping both bathrooms well kept.

The food honestly did not taste good. I got the chicken biryani, lamb curry, and kheer, all of which lacked flavor. The biryani was oily yet dry and tasteless. The curry was very thin and had a strong overpowering taste of cumin, and lacked depth of flavor. It seemed as if they used flour or something else to thicken the kheer because it honestly tasted like glue and rice. No spices were used to make the pudding. I didn't taste cardamom, rose water, or see specks of nuts in the pudding. Overall most of the food purchased was put in the bin.

We ordered just 1 dish chicken madras which was suppose to be made with coconut based gravy, supposed to be spicy. I also specifically mentioned to make it spicy. The dish we got was creamy gravy and sweet, seemed more like chicken Tikka/butter masala. Also the price mentioned online vs what they charged was way different.

Great service but a few dishes like Chicken hara masala is pretty much questionable. Not authentic, just a creamy tomato gravy. Dal tadka is not good.

Two of dishes were same with same gravy what’s the point in taking order and adding ingredients if you are going to serve the same, the cooks is needed to be changed or transforms the dishes.

We first tried A Taste of India because a friend said it was the best Indian food they had ever had. Since then, we can't get enough and have brought many other friends who say the same thing! A true gem in Grants Pass with absolutely amazing food.

If you want any authentic indian food, this is not a good place. The dishes were bland and all the foods had same flavor including the biryani. Worst indian food i have ever tasted!

We ended our 10 hr road trip here and found this place as recommendation online. At beginning we were skeptical of this place but they made us Happy customer. We ordered Rice, Punjabi kadhi Chawal, Dal, Chapati and I would rate 8.5/10. Taste wise very Indian (usually you don't get) We were impressed by their service too. Yes there is room for improvement but can't stop praising this place who brought us satisfaction after our hectic road trip.

We have eaten here a couple times during our stays in grants pass. The first thing I noticed during our most recent experience is that there was no amazing aromas coming from the food after I picked it up. No cumin, no coriander, not even fenugreek. Not a good sign. The food was bland, the raita was so watered down that it had no flavor of yogurt or cucumbers. The Marsala and vindaloo tasted almost identical. They serve their rice in styrofoam. Overall mediocre.

We spent almost $75 trying Indian food for the first time tonight.. very disappointing to say the least .. everything pretty much tasted like it was bathed in creamy tomato soup with various meats and overly spiced. The rice was dry and didn’t seem fresh and the appetizer plate was a mystery of battered meats didn’t even know what you were eating and it all pretty much tasted the same. Not worth what they are charging .. and although the staff was nice enough watching some of them touch their hair and noses and then grab our to go containers without washing was less than appealing.. will not be returning 🤢

We always order food here because it is so delicious, but today I was very disappointed with their service. We ordered to go today at 9 pm, it says it is open until 9.30 pm. The guy who answered the phone sounded annoyed by the time. I asked him exclusively not spicy, and he interrupted me to tell me if that is everything in a very rude way. We went to get our order and to my surprise absolutely everything was overly spicy to the point that we couldn't eat. Sad dinner for us :(

We did take out. Amazing madras curry and delicious saag paneer. Perfect spice level. Very friendly service. Next road trip we'll definitely stop here!!

I ordered food to go online through doordash because I couldn't get through by phone. Let me just say the food was amazing! We ordered shrimp biryani and chicken vindaloo. I didnt get my shrimp biryani but got chicken instead. Again, let me just say i was not complaining. Amazing food! Definitely my new favorite place for take out.

I ordered takeout chicken madras, lamb sukha and the aloo paratha. Everything was delicious. The flavoring and spices were perfect. Staff were great and very friendly as well. The man who took my order made some great recommendations. Will definitely be back.
