We met Angela and Megan of The Cultured Palate for the first time today. I have to say that this is the best kept secret of Grants Pass. The food was so outstanding, with deep flavors and surprising veriety on the same plate. Apparently, all the Cuban food I have had to date has sucked! YOU MUST EAT THIS FOOD! Simple as that. The ladies themselves are truly amazing and are the hardest working people I have seen in a long time. We have been CUBANIZED.

We had a wonderful dining experience here. The service was a bit slow, but great for going to enjoy a drink or two and good company. The tapas and menu are not extensive, but everything was fantastic. They have a vegetarian bowl with added Cuban ensalada veggies available that was dynamite. The red sangria was good, the pina colada was on perfectly balanced. Rum cake for dessert could have been more moist, but still good.

This was our first trip to Grants Pass and we hit the jackpot by choosing this local Cuban spot for our first meal out. Our server was amazing, the owner made our mojito - refreshing and delicious! I had a vegetarian bowl with rice, beans, avocado and so much flavor. We felt so at home and welcomed.

I really wish I could have given this spot a higher rating, but our experience was less than perfect. We had really high hopes for this spot but unfortunately it fell short with the service and timing of our food. It is in a great location and Grants Pass and is surrounded by lots of good foot traffic. They have great outdoor seating and the was very welcoming and inviting. Upon our arrival it wasn't very crowded at all. It started to get busier as the night went on. Unfortunately, we were some of the 1st ones to be sat down for our dinner, yet some of the last to receive our food. I would have understood if we had a complex order or a big party, But we were only 2 people and we ordered 2 sangria's 2 Cuban sandwiches and an appetiser. Pretty simple. Our waitress told us that our appetiser would take longer 15 to 20 minutes. Totally understandable. 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes past and we still had nothing. We noticed that tables around us who had arrived after us were starting to get their food. Our waitress came up to us and asked us again what our order was because she had forgot to enter our appetizer. We ended up just getting our Cuban sandwiches which were good but decided not to get our appetiser because it would have taken more time. While the waitress was apologetic about the situation, it still was frustrating. They did their best to remedy the situation by giving us a free dessert, but would have expected a little bit more. They certainly seem to be short staffed and need a little bit more training. Food was good, but service can be better.

We both had the carne asada-the citrus and garlic seasoning hit the mark! Their daily special-- air fried yuca(?) was amazing! Beats greasy fries any day! Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine!

Authentic flavors, very far from home. Great Cuban Coffee. Angela was amazing serving our party. Never thought I would have tostones in Grants Pass and not make them myself. The "Completa" was great with the 3 meats on a bed of rice and beans. Similar to Puerto Rican food.

First time at this place and I'm so glad we went! I've never tried Cuban food before and the owner was very accommodating and recommended our dishes. The meats were perfect, my favorite is their beef. The Cuban sandwich was great too. I ordered a mojito as well and it was crafted perfectly. This was also very affordable. Be prepared to wait though but we didn't mind. We will be back!

What a find! Excellent downtown location, very filling (despite small servings), and the best plantain chips we’ve ever had. Very light & crisp. My husband doesn’t like Cuban food, but he really likes it here! The desserts & drinks sound amazing. 🥰 We just left & can’t wait to go back. LOL

Some of the best food I’ve had here in Southern Oregon. This restaurant feels like family and is super inviting. The owner is usually there and comes out of the kitchen to greet her customers. My friend and I went there one time years ago and had this blackberry lavender cheesecake it was the best I ever had. Not sure if they have that on the menu anymore but gosh it was amazing!

This is without doubt the best Cuban restaurant in the states. (And I’ve been to some places in the Florida keys as well as NYC). The owner is super friendly and we really enjoyed interacting with her. She mentioned in passing that she makes some of the best Mojitos in the world…. And believe me. They are AMAZING! The food is equally good. If you’re passing through Grants Pass or living nearby, DO NOT MISS this place. We wish she would set up shop in the Bay Area. She would have our family as loyal customers for sure.

This place caught my attention while driving past on 6th the other day, and decided to give them a try. Called for a takeout order, pleasant person on the phone took my order, was apologetic in informing me my particular order may take a little bit as the cubanos take some time to prepare and might take upwards of 20 minutes. A nominal wait mid day, so I ordered a GP Cubano, and the tostonas & bread with sauce samplers. OMG! Soooo good. I have not had an authentic Cubano, or plantains for some time and this food was absolutely authentic. The sandwich was great, and the sauce sampler was also great. So much flavor, and instantly impressed with the ingredients all seemingly fresh and quality. The olive oil had taste! Refreshing to see such a unique option here in town, I will definitely be back. Highly reccomend.

As someone who grew up amongst a Cuban population in Florida, it’s hard to overstate just HOW DAMNED GOOD this food was. The Cubano was exemplary to the point I brought two home to my family. The maduros were perfection. My dining companions loved their bowls too. Even their iced tea and cafe Cubano were better than I had hoped. I can’t wait to go back for seconds. Support local businesses especially ones that bring culture to the valley. Arguably the best food in Grants Pass. You’d be a fool to skip this gem. Already craving more…

Delicious and authentic food. Doesn’t get better than fresh, homemade, family recipes! I was born and raised in Florida and I have to say, this is fantastic Cuban food. I’ve missed it, so this was truly a treat! Owner and son were great. Dangerously delicious drinks too!!

Oh my goodness! You have to eat here! Fresh food, cooked with love by the owner. Recipes are authentic! As a vegan I had many options to choose from and my carnivore partner was thrilled with his options too. Owner and staff friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back any time we are in Grants Pass!!! Oh, and FYI, this is not fast food, but food made fresh to order so enjoy a game of dominoes after placing your order while sipping one of their awesome drinks!

While visiting grant's pass I found this little Cuban restaurant. We went in and were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. The owner came to us and explained the menu and options we could add. What a nice lady she was. She brought us samples of the different meats they offer, and that really helped make our decisions for our lunch. I ordered the Cubano sandwich and the 3 meat option to share with my wife. We also ordered the cheese plate as it sounded so good. To our delight everything was really delicious!! The Cubano was a perfectly prepared sandwich with in house made mustard, wow it was good. The 3 meat combo with black beans and rice was amazingly delicious. We also had mojitos, mine regular my wife's lavender blackberry. Super good, but watch out, they're potent:) We also ordered 3 deserts as we couldn't decide on just one. Flan, rum cake and buttered rum pumpkin spice cheesecake. Each one was fantastic!!! What a great find, would recommend everyone go here for the wonderful food and amazing hospitality. Definitely stopping in next time we're in town.

We often go here on a Saturday to take advantage of the laid back atmosphere and enjoy the delicious, authentic Cuban food. Angela treats everyone like family so we always feel welcome. If you do nothing else (but I hope you try it all), stop in for a cup of Cubano coffee and dessert. They are the best desserts in the Rogue Valley IMHO.

I absolutely love this sweet restaurant! Sweet Cuban decor and the music is upbeat! The food! I can’t express how much I have LOVED each and every dish I’ve tried. Always fresh ingredients! I think each meat they serve has been marinated and then cooked perfectly. I recommend the Cuban Sandwich that is served with plantain (a cousin to the banana) chips. Service is superb. Their wine collection is very extensive!

Food was good, but it took us 3 1/2 hours from when we walked in to when we walked out. The quava cheesecake was awesome. So if you have 3 plus hours to kill and want to try different foods. Try it.

Wanted an authentic Cuban sandwich for my birthday and Cultured Palate did not disappoint! The ladies here are truly AMAZING! The food is equally as AMAZING! They obviously care so much as the hospitality they show is beyond top notch. They even sang Happy Birthday to me in a beautifully Cuban way. I even scored a bday surprise!! Mine and my family's experience was beyond incredible and we will definitely be returning again and again and again. THANK YOU FOR THE BEST MEAL OF MY LIFE!!! UPDATE: went back for another delicious meal today (3/05/22) and Megan and Angie were, again, INCREDIBLE! BEST RESTAURANT IN GRANTS PASS!!!

Buddies and I were playing poker and decided to try the Cubano sandwiches. Loved the authenticity of the restaurant and spices used with all the food. The Cuban coffee was the best coffee I’ve had since France. Service was great and I literally felt like I was in Cuba!! UPDATE!!! Ok. So stopped by last night to get a piece of homemade rum cake and the owner Angie was butchering a large chuck of beef and pork. She said it was for the Carne Asada. So I had to come back the next day to try the fresh Carne Asada Bowl. OMG!! My palate immediately thanked me for getting the Carne Asada and side of avocado. There was sooo much flavor and the Carne was to die for!!! The plantain chips were a nice contrast with the dish. Avocado made it! Will be back again!!

Heartwarming , this restaurant has the most love and care put into it's food and customer care that they make you feel truly appreciated. The flavors themselves scream authentic Cuban culture and the flavors linger. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to get a breathtakingly elaborate and full flavored meal in the grants pass area.

We recently had dinner at the Cultured Palate in GP. It was a very delightful experience. They were low staffed, but still very courteous and attentive. They provided samples of the different meat options to better help us choose, which I really appreciated. When I asked about wine options, the chef provided a sample, as well as some plantain chips to cleanse the palate, and explained how the wine helps to better appreciate the flavors of the food. They made a specific effort to learn our names and remember us for next time. They even turned down the lights so our little girls could see how pretty their decorations are in the dimmer light. All of this is complementary to the food, which was quite good. You can tell the chef takes much care and pride in each dish. The cheesecake we had for dessert was especially yummy, and she said it was only the 4th one she'd made! It's the most interactive experience I've had at a restaurant, and you can really tell they care. I would recommend. Thank you!
