Really inconsistent quality of cooking and service. Used to really love this place. But it’s too disappointing and quite often a waste of hard earned money. Nothing worse than going in for something you know you really like and being let down. The good part about pretentious hipsters like this in most similar establishments is the fact that they deliver on their craft… not here.

I almost never leave reviews for places except in two situations. If a place went above and beyond. Or if a place was quite terrible, which I don’t even think I’ve done before. The old saying, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all.” But I want to like the Haul. Great location, solid atmosphere, and nice outdoor seating. But the food was honestly terrible. And I’m fairly easy to please when it comes to food. The spicy fried chicken sandwich was burnt to a crisp and tasted like the frying oil was extremely old. If I could bite through outside of the sandwich, the chicken inside was over cooked to jerky level in toughness. And the fries were barely crispy and had more wet and soggy parts than anything else. I want to come back back, but it won’t be for awhile now. Please address your kitchen issues. Thank you for listening to my TED talk.

So disappointing. I went about a month and a half ago and got a fried chicken sandwich. It was the best I've ever had. Big, crispy, work of art. I pined over this sandwich and today took my wife to experience one for herself. What we expected and what we got couldn't have been further off. Small, soggy, and unappetizing. The waiter had to chase down the "chef" to ask for our food. He didn't seem to care at all as he clearly ignored the waiter and walked off. My soggy sandwich was found behind the counter by the waiter. While the waiter was willing to have it remade I didn't want anything more from a "chef" that seemed to care so little about his product. Thus was NOT the same sandwich I got before. It couldn't have been worse. As I said. Disappointed.

We used to love this place, they must have taken a hit after covid. The nacho special they had was a joke, literally smaller than most appetizer nachos at other places but more expensive. Super disappointed in our experience here, will definitely not be going back.

Covid has destroyed the food industry in America. The service was garbage. The food was overpriced and no where near appetizing. They let me order and pay for a pizza but then told me the oven wouldn’t be ready for 45 minutes. So no refund was issued, they just brought me out the worst Philly Cheese Steak I’ve ever had. Fries were soggy - ranch cost a dollar. They literally gave me attitude when I asked for pepper. Good grief. I will NEVER be back.

AMAZING! We came in for brunch yesterday with 4 other families including 10 children, the chef came out to us to offer doing family style for the kids, it's been years since we've been able to sit down and fully enjoy a brunch of this quality with out having any issue. Our servers were fantastic as well , providing us with one of our most memorable meals in grants pass! Definitely will be back again

I’ve been back a few times and have been impressed either the quality of food. Particularly the pizza, so delicious. Crispy AND chewy thin crust. Quality ingredients. Pictures here is the pesto. I popped in on a Saturday at 1. The service was great. It is order at the counter and then sit, they bring the food. It was slow so we received a warm welcome and an invitation to try the slushy. I had the veggie burger….but it wasnt on the menu so I can’t tell you what is in it or how much it was. It was very crispy on the outside and very mushy on the inside. I found it odd. My friend had the Haul burger and enjoyed it very much. I will return for a brunch.

Tasty and fresh. We ordered at the counter...I’m not sure they have table service for ordering...just delivery of your order. The falafel sandwich was very tasty and loaded with veggies. It would have been nice if the pita was warm. The pizza was fantastic...loaded with arugula. Neither of their brewery beers on tap. Good service. Indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly. Cheers 🍻

I absolutely LOVE this place! We went on Taco Wednesday (because they're closed on Tuesday 😉) and it was a great experience! The staff was friendly, the cider was delicious, the tacos were amazing (and cheaper than usual). They have a cozy family friendly pub atmosphere with easy access to parking. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Tried the place a couple of times prior to reviewing. The pizza is the most redeeming part. Atmosphere could be better. The staff mostly keeps extremely busy but the lack of table service after the initial ordering is tiresome. Waiting in the same line as food orders for a beer can be lengthy. Staff is friendly and food can take quite a long time during lunch. Most likely won't return at this point. A few tacos, 1 small app and 2 beers was just under $50.

Out if this world! Based on reviews perhaps I hit a good night but based on all the dishes around me think they are high caliber all the time. 10+ beers on tap from a variety of OR based breweries. Excellent food menu with giant portions. Normally I get nervous with big quantity because it’s a compensation for lack of flavor... but not The Haul. Wonderful experience and I look forward to future visits.

Your new cook is not doing your restaurant justice. I ordered a smash burger and it came out Raw inside not just pink and had so much spread it was swimming in it. So The next one I specifically asked for it well well done to avoid uncooked ground beef. The next one came out pink and sloppy as well. Not totally Raw like the first one , but definitely not cooked how a smash burger should be. I have eaten here many many times and never had this problem. Please remedy this so I can continue to enjoy your food.

I generally don't give out 5 stars, but this place deserved it. Great cocktails, delicious food and an awesome atmosphere. The food was fantastic, I would recommend the margarita pizza, also ask for an extra side of marinara, it's the freshest that you can get. The total was ~$90 for 4 adults, having an entree and a cocktail each.

Great pub with an industrial feel to it. Service was fast and friendly, food was tasty and beer was great. Highly recommended.

Because they were having a street fair and there was a crowd so the service could have been a little faster. The servers themselves were doing their best. My Ruben was good, but as always, I complain about not having Russian dressing. The IPA beer I had was cold and very good. My wife and Granddaughter's 3 cheese pizza was okay but not my cup of tea. I like a crisp crust and this wasn't. The atmosphere is fun with inside and outside dining roomy and inviting

Vegan friendly taco was delicious! As were the garlic minus Parm fries. Vegan friendly burger and soup too 😋

Absolutely delicious burger and fries. They also make special homemade sodas that are a delicious treat. We order a few and sample them as we eat. I love that everything seems to be made with quality in mind! Probably our new favorite restaurant in Grants Pass. EDIT: The second photo was our third time dining here, even better than before! Must try: Almond (house made) Soda + Smash Burger

I had heard good thing about this place before coming in, and I was not disappointed at all. The service was great and friendly, and the food did not disappoint in the slightest, everything was made from scratch and made to satisfy. It will cost you a little bit of the heftier side with some menu items being about $15, but I didn't mind the price over the quality and service. There are also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, which is great because while I may consume meat, my girlfriend does not, so it's a really good spot for people with different tastes. All in all, if you don't mind spending a bit more on yourself or others, this is definitely a place you should check out.

The food wasn't bad by any means. The portions were a bit small and they charged extra for the house made condiments. All in all I'd say the food was good but I felt like I spent a lot and didn't get much.

The Haul is a Grants Pass staple, worth checking out at least once. Go there for the beer/mixed drinks and stay for the atmosphere and live music. The food is nothing special.

Thursday's "Open Mic" was fun. Great atmosphere to share talents and tunes. The staff helped make it a pleasant experience. Oh, and the pizza was tasty too.

This restaurant has surprised me multiple times, whether through its fantastic service and atmosphere or its delicious food and drink options. The carne asada steak & egg burrito and Cuban sandwich are so full of flavor, and their bloody Mary’s are excellent. Also, a huge plus is that they are pet friendly!

No wait staff. You place order at register and food is brought out. Service was pretty fast on a Friday evening. Not too busy. Solid beer selection. Brussel sprout appetizer was awesome. Pork nachos only a 2 star but overall a solid spot
