Good tamales . not greasy . Enough filling. Good fried pies. Good spot for lunch or dinner. Tommy bowl is too big for me but good for someone with a big appetite. Update September 2023: Still delicious. In the picture is the cinnamon apple tamale w chocolate sauce and the 2 tamales plate. I had black bean and hatch chili pork!

The Ladies and I were in town today hanging out on our way to the Lake saw a cool place named after my husband Tommy and I jokingly said let’s stop in to surprise him. I jumped out went inside and felt the nice vibes, loved the fresh colors, people were very nice and polite got my order quickly as well and I was on my way. We begin eating the Tamales oh my goodness … DELICIOUS!! I purchased different flavors the chicken beef pork and we were so full. I highly recommend this place to all you won’t regret it!!

Let me start with…I don’t like tamales lol. Every time I’ve tasted them they weren’t cooked right or good at all. I got the two tamale meal with rice and refried beans and also got the apple/raisin and chocolate dessert tamales (2 for $5). I couldn’t even tell that one of the tamales I had was pork and that’s a good thing for me. Also I don’t like raisins and the dessert tamales had me wanting to go purchase the rest of them. They came with caramel and chocolate sauce as well. The chocolate one was super decadent and would pair well with some butter pecan ice cream. The tamales were kinda small but true flavor is worth it

This place is delicious! We walked in, were greeted, and they walked us through the menu. We ordered the tamale plate. Chicken and pork habanero. It came with sides of Spanish rice and charro beans. Of course, we also ordered the Frito pie with a hatch Chile pork tamale. Everything was amazing... All of it. This place is seriously delicious the owner even came by the table thanked us for coming in and brought us hot sauce to try. We had a great experience, food and atmosphere!

Saw a YouTube channel I watch go here and loved it.Went a few days back with the kiddos to try something new, and was pleasantly surprised. The tamales were great and the sides are good as well. Beans were runny but good flavors. Took home some frozen black bean with cheese and chicken and they were great for frozen! Would recomend this restaurant to anyone who loves tamales. Edit. Prices are great. Good for budget meal out

We’ve been meaning to stop by and try this place. We finally did and we’re so pleased! The tamales were excellent. We enjoyed meeting one of the owners. We’ll definitely be back!!

We had the bean and cheese tamales. Plus we had the guacamole and queso with chips. Both were very tasty fresh and tasty. We got two tamales and they were quite filling. The owners came and talked to us to check on everything. I would highly recommend this place. I wish they had one more vegetarian option for Tamales.

In search of good tamales and saw the reviews for this place so decided to give it a try. So glad we did! We had the tamale plate and tried the pork and chicken and it was delicious. They had 3 different beans to choose from and the refried was definitely the best. Owner is very personable and came to check on us. He works the floor and ensures each guest feels welcome. You can even buy frozen tamales to take home. Definitely recommend this place to try as they have several locations.

Looking for a good tamale? Look no further. This place has a small menu, but each option we tried was absolutely AMAZING!! The tamale bowl, tamale pie, and the nachos were all quite tasty. The tamales we tried were pork and black bean and cheese. Each was delicious, but the pork was our favorite. Each was packed with flavor and seasoning that did not need additional salt or pepper. Customer service is exceptional, and we received service with a smile accompanied by recommendations since it was our first time to visit. 10/10 would recommend. If you're in the mood for tamales, I assure you, this place will not disappoint.

The best tamales in town but hands down definitely a comeback 100% just make sure you do yourself a favor and come and grab some good food believe your are going to thank me later..... great place, great food, great people!!

I can't really say much about this place. You have to go experience it. Try their menu. I recommend trying the Tomale pie. Amazing. Delicious delicious. The owner was so generous and kind. I can't wait to go back.

What a wonderful place to grab lunch or pick up some tamales for dinner or a gathering. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back. Prices are very reasonable as well.

I got a burrito Door Dashed to me, it was very affordable compared to most other Mexican restaurants, and the taste and flavor of the burrito was fantastic! You get more than your money's worth, definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely killer food. Got the large Tommy bowl and it was so much food I had to finish the rest at home. Bowl ingredients mend so well together. It tastes even better with chips reheated. Would highly recommend this spot. Absolutely delicious.

We buy family meals here at least twice a month and more often then not will also purchase frozen tamales. The convenience is great, but the food is excellent. Highly recommend their tommy bowls with extra queso!

Stopped here during a brief getaway and had some great tamales! Service was fast and the food was very good. Small and very casual restaurant with two counters, one for takeout and one for dine in. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. We had the tamale plate, which is a choice of 4 tamales and side of rice and beans, and a large tamale bowl which is two tamales on a bed of rice, smothered in chili, queso, and topped with shredded cheese and pico. Also got a guacamole and chips to start things off, wasn’t made at the table but was fresh and also very tasty. Some of the best tamales we’ve had. They’re relatively small so don’t worry about getting several to sample the different types.

I’ll keep it simple…scrumptious!! Try it all on the menu! I rarely give a place 5 stars. Thank you Tommy for your generosity!

There's no salt in this place. Bring your own if you need salt on your tamales. It can be confusing but there are 2 counters one to order tamales in bulk to- go and then another counter to order food to eat there. TAMALES ARE GREAT! CHICKEN ones are my favorite. My husband lovea their nachos.

Get your tamale on! Excellent meals & cash saving specials. If your in a hurry you definitely have to stop, the wait is negligible. Since tomales are prepared ahead of time your order is practically ready by the time you find a seat. If you don't have time to sit the first window through the door is for to-go's only. And yes, you heard correct; I did say meal, there is enough to fill you up. Today's cash saving special was 3 tomales loaded on top with white caso, beef chili & shredded cheese. $10.00 and it came with a beverage and chips & salsa. I've driven past this place more times than I can count and almost stopped a few times, but never did. Am I glad I dropped in today & tried the special. The tomales I got were the chicken and they just melt in your mouth. They were topped with the chilie, but it wasn't too overpowering that you couldn't taste the chicken and caso. We also got the beef tomale special and it was good, but there just wasn't any distinction in flavors like with the chicken. If your like me and you just keep driving bye; you will wish youd've stopped by sooner. I've already got this place on the list for lunch next time I'm in the area. I heard about this place from my friends, but haven't tried it. The flavor was good, but the meat was not good quality. I probably spat out 1/5 of the beef because it was too tough and not edible. Good ambiance and clean facility. I gave it 4 star from this single experience based on what I ordered.

Hands down the BEST tamales I have ever had! They are soooo yummy and filling. Very affordable with great service!!! My boyfriend and I will definitely be coming back! :)

As soon as we walked in Tommy greeted us and made us feel welcomed. We were seated and he took the time to let us know about the menu and got served fast. Tommy and Joann (his wife) defiantly gave us 5 star customer service. They are such an amazing people!!!

Our first time stopping in and we were greeted with the sweetest Tommy! We had a toddler and newborn in hand and by the time we had order he had helped us have a table set up with a high chair without us asking! The thought and extra hospitality is always such a plus! And the food was amazingly tasty and so so good. Tastes homemade and fresh and the tamales just slid out the husk being so moist and meat so flavorful! We can’t wait for the one in Keller to open up near us!

O M G. This was worth the wait. A friend recommended it. Met Tommy he is soooo nice. Felt like home. I got the 2 pork tamale (two was filling for me with the sides) and my husband got 2 pork and 2 beef, it was delicious. Definitely will return!
