My first time visiting this park. So I had a very different experience that I wasn't expecting. I didn't know what kind of park we were visiting today. It's a big place with lots of covered spaces with benches for people to sit under the shade. Have barbecue spaces , lots of big trees to hang a hammock/swing. It's near the shore ,you can see the lake ,and even go in the water to swim. Of course I didn't know any of these so I was unprepared. I suggest you bring a hammock and rope to enjoy the beautiful breeze here. If you would like to go into the water bring towels, swim suits and sandals. It got really crowded in the afternoon so come early to find a perfect spot and enjoy the quiet environment as well. The cons about this place were normally entry fee was 10$ but since it's a holiday season now they are asking 20$ per car ,this doesn't make sense at all. Increasing twice as much is being greedy I think. And even though there weren't that many people the parking lots were already full that's why we had to park our car near the road which doesn't look good and risky because the road is already tight. If you have your boat bring it,you will enjoy it a lot otherwise you can rent it here at the entrance store. Hope this helps everyone to get prepared. Overall it was a beautiful place to enjoy your whole day with family and friends

this was a a really pretty place, with a nice view and great hiking trails. This place isn't too far from Plano and there are a lot of great options for recreation. There is a boat ramp, kayak rentals, golf cart rentals, small beaches, and so much more. The trail I went on was beautiful and had great views of the lake below. I recommend this place for families and friends to come to.

Love, love, love this place! Fun for the whole family. A small $10 fee to come in but worth it. Totally clean and friendly staff. They have canoes to rent and plenty of covered Pavillions. Easy to get in the water and not deep so the kids are safe. Life vest should be worn because it does get deep in some places. Overall we go at least 5 times a year and enjoyed everytime.

We planned to visit Stone Creek Park in th3 Flower Mound. It was no bad but not what we expected from photos especially in early spring. So we started to look for alternatives nearby and across this one The park does charges an entrance fee but it was worth it. The facility is nice, lake water is clean and the best thing was a long trail to hike.

Pretty good trails and good long walk. Trails range frm easy to moderate in difficulty. It doesn't tell you when you search it but it cost $10 a car to enter.

It's a great place to be. The Grapevine lake is huge and has multiple spots for an outing. The Rockledge Park in particular is a great place to get to the water, for walking trails, for picnics and a natural day out. The entry fee to this park is $10 per vehicle. I would say there was ample parking. We went there on a Sunday evening and this place is somewhat of a good location for viewing the sunset. There are rocky and steep edges ending up in the water but with little care and observation, this is a good spot for enjoyment. There are also bikes available to rent and enjoy the rocky trails here. There were multiple water activities as well which we didn't aim to complete that day, so not having much information about that now.

One of the best sunset in Dallas area. Beautiful trail walks along side the lake. Get some chairs to enjoy the views. Entry fee 10$ per vehicle.

The front area of the park is very busy but once you venture onto the trails it is much more peaceful and relaxing with great views. We expected the $10 per car cost and happy to pay it if it means a clean park but we were surprised that for Memorial Day weekend the cost was $20 and no military / veteran discount. We did not spend much time in the pavilion area due to the crowd but minus a few areas that needed attention (random lost water bottles and a huge tracker tire) the trails were clean. Will return and definitely recommend.

Nice trekking place for walking and bicycle rides.. Beautiful lake sides and moderately dense trees.. Restrooms were tub type and not clean when I visited.. So only 4 star..

Beautiful place, gorgeous landscape view , good for hiking, amazing for family’s and to connect with nature is pet friendly so feel free to take your puppies and have some fun ❤️🐶🐶👨‍👩‍👦 I recommend you to get there early if you want to get a good table, camp spot or wear comfortable shoes to go for a hike and find the perfect spot. I also love to wear water shoes since there are rocks inside the lake.

It's a great park and well maintained. They have $10 entry per vehicle... Lots of food tables and it's covered so no worry of sun and raining which is good... Also there are many small beaches to play and swim. Definitely a great place for a Family outing.

Very fun! We took our kayaks out and had a blast. Lots of small beaches close by the main beach area. We were able to kayak down to many different smaller beach areas with less people and it was very nice. The boats made the water a little choppy for kayaking, but we were able to manger despite being beginners. The beach wasn’t too busy even with it being July 4th. I highly recommend going here for a nice beach day. We even want to go back to explore the different hiking trails by the beach as well.

One of the best places in Fort Worth area as the Park offers a well established space to relax with coverings with BBQ machines for outing, places to rent Kayaks, safe areas for swimming (without presence of a life guard) and picturesque hiking routes. We'll recommended for a relaxing time and a must visit to clean your head.

Rockledge Park is the best location in the Dallas/Fort Worth area where you can view a beautiful sunset with cliffs alongside. It is a feeling as if you are not in Dallas at all. You would think that you're in a more mountainous state, which makes the experience more mysterious and amazing. You have 20+ miles of hiking trails, a lot of picnic tables, a park shop to rent equipment, grills, beautiful lake views, and oh - a basketball court right next door at Jackson Pavilion, just in case you weren't satisfied enough. What more can you ask for? This is the getaway place in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Recommended for everyone!

Pretty nice park. I went during the week so it wasn't busy at all. Lots of space, great water views and some great spots in walking distance. $10 parking per car. I'll be revisiting again.

Can be better, downhill since 10 yrs ago. More people throw garbage and no cleaning. Even with today’s $20 entrance fee.

I was here for a trail race and the park was AMAZING!! I do wish they would have kept bikes off the trails during the race but the park itself is super beautiful and the trails were so nice!!

Such a BEAUTFUL location to view the sunset, enjoy the scenery, sit for a while, access the water, or walk the trails. My couples love this location for engagement sessions!

Visited on a Tuesday morning. No crowds. Plenty of parking inside after paying $10 fee with same day re-entry is permissable but it's not guaranteed (annual pass is available). Parking ends at the trails. It's peaceful sitting at the water's edge and listening to it if you're not going into the water. There is a map, bike pump & restrooms. Kayak and paddle board rentals (not sure if life vests are included with those rentals). We didn't walk further up on the northshore trail but it is possible. Wear comfortable hiking shoes, bug spray, snacks & bring plenty of water for the journey. The negatives: food wrappers and trash left behind from visitors. Debris washed up on the shore should be picked up by park officials. Enjoy!

Great park with lots to do year round. There is a $10 entry fee. They have 23 miles of multi purpose trails used for hiking and mountain biking. The trails are popular and sometimes crowded. If you are hiking watch out for the Mountain Bikers they move fast and don't always follow proper etiquette and announce themselves. There are kayak and paddle board rentals. Lots of picnic tables and open space to have fun.

Really nice park with lot of shade and great view of lake. However, they have worst toilet . All toilets were closed and there were bunch of portable toilets that looked like had not been cleaned for ages and it did not even have toilet paper or sanitizers. However I still loved the whole experience of hiking and would definitely recommend it.

We went in the last hour watched the sunset, and kids had fun in the water, They have limited parking and charge $10 per vehicle. There is also some cover seating and grills for barbecue. Also there are pinnace for rent and you can borrow a life jacket. The park is clean I really like it.
