The best vineyard visit I have ever experienced. Josep is an amazing guide, passionate, and knowledgeable. We expressly went over to priorat to visit clos mogador and it worth the visit. Book visit in advance.

We were lucky enough to have our visit hosted by the winemaker Rene. He took us on a tour of the vineyards explaining the various plantings, and their details- grape type, age of vines and characteristics of the wine made from them. Talked about how different grape vines reacted to various locations and soil etc. We had a thorough tour of the winery including tasting direct from barrels and then more formal tasting. Rene is super enthusiastic about his craft and is innovating with various combinations and blends. An absolute delight to meet him and discuss his craft and desire for experimentation and innovation. If you can arrange a tour and tasting and you are genuinely interested in wine and wine making thoroughly recommend this experience. Would rate this higher than 5/5 if I could.

Absolutely excellent wine and service. We were 15 minutes late for our tour but our host accommodated us. He was so full of energy and passion. We loved our tour of the winery and the tasting that followed. The wines were bold in flavour and had such minerality.

Great wines, wonderful touring visit to the cellar. Highly recommended if you are traveling in the Priorat and want to understand the past, present and future of this fascinating region. Informative but tons of fun.

Their wines were magnificent as well as the tour. We were able to experience the wines from the grape to the glass in this tour accompanied by the excellent guide, Josep.

I have been on vineyard tours all over and this was the best ever! The guide was very knowledge. The Priorat is a special area where they make very special wines. I highly recommend that whole area but really recommend Clos Mogador. The guide took on us on tour of all the vineyards and talked about how the soil and plants make the wine so special. They tour guide really knew his wine and tasted the wines with us, giving us his perspective. Very different from the commercial production you will see in other parts of the world - these wineries are owned by families and individuals who love the land and the tradition of making this wine, It is an experience like no other!

Good winery to visit for those who want to see one of the originals. Tours give a good overview of the approach to wine in the region.
