I couldn't praise this place enough!! Me and my friends go here after school ALL the time and it ALWAYS comes in clutch. The ice cream here and the variety is PHENOMENAL and the entire vibe of the place is AWESOME! Their sundaes are phenomenal, their shakes are phenomenal and even their fries hit pretty good too. And the best part is it is NOT expensive AT ALL! This place hits different after a long day of school/work. HIGHLY reccomend.

One of the very best places in Grayslake!!! My family is lucky to live within walking distance and we definitely don't take that for granted. They have a huge menu of tasty ice cream and food, all kinds of fun mix-ins and sundaes, and super creative flavors of the month (don't miss the Blue Moon!). I'm especially thrilled to have the lactose-free soft serve option!

This is the cutest and best ice cream place i’ve ever been to! The food is amazing and there’s options for everyone. The shakes and ice cream are so good as well. The puppy chow shake is my absolute go to.

First time at Freeze. Fast service and inexpensive. There are about 10 or so picnic tables on the outside to sit and enjoy your icecream/dessert.

Not only is The Freeze a great place to get a quick bite and some tasty ice cream treats, it's also a local business with heart. The owner stepped up and created a menu item and fundraiser for our son, a recent Grayslake grad who passed tragically. We can't thank The Freeze enough for their kindness and generosity. It's a focal point in our community!

I love taking my dog there for ice cream and burgers. There are lots of delicious choices for ice-cream. Fries and cheese sauce are great. The burgers are just okay, but they are cheap! The lines can be quite long, so go at off times!

Ice cream and sundaes are amazing and deserve 10/10-particularly their brownie sundae. Slushies are decent but banana is the best, with watermelon and lime being kind of way overly sweet. Their horchata shake isn't worth it and doesn't taste like horchata. Their pineapple smoothie though is super, super good.

My wife suggested going here with our kids. She was right, as always, as this place was fantastic. The ice cream was really good and we didn't feel gross afterwards. Definitely a new spot to bring the kids too and we will be coming back for sure.

Got a root beer float they have a measured amount of ice cream they put in the float, and the amount is stingy very little, for $8 that definitely wasn't worth it. Plus the ice cream isn't soft-serve it's hard Frozen you have to mix it yourself

The service, setting, and food are all magically delicious. This is a hot spot for a cool treat.

There is a reason the line is always long here, the ice cream is amazing and it is affordable for the whole family. It may take you a few visits to perfect your order, but it is well worth it. I always go for the PB Sundae with chocolate ice cream.

Neat place, good service...looking it's age. Lots of oce cream options at a reasonable price. Lots of parking too. Picnic tables outside for when it's mild out.

Good food, went to celebrate an anniversary there to just get a shake, puppy chow shake was Tasty, but the banana bread shake was a bit lackluster. Overall, very good

This place is one of the best in town and it's obvious when you see a line waiting to order. Just don't let that discourage you, it moves fast.

A great sudden discovery. First-the flavor choices are insane. Strawberry cheese cake ? With serious chunks of cheesecake pieces throughout my container? Alittle out of our way but soooo refreshing for a perfect afternoon.

Nice and lively, there's outdoor seating for you to enjoy your food (whether it be an ice cream or a burger). I've only gotten ice cream here and it has yet to disappoint. Definitely would recommend coming here if you don't mind waiting in line.

Have been going here since I was a little kid. When it opens for the season, it's like the first robin. Can't imagine a Grayslake summer without it. A focal point for all of us who grew up in Grayslake.

Great little ice cream place I was visiting my girlfriends brother that just moved into the neighborhood. It’s calm and peaceful with people talking and walking around everywhere. The freeze gets really busy at night and it’s worth the wait.
