My son frequently dines here with his girlfriend and today he took me! Very impressive tasty dishes! Large menu selection! Place was packed on a Sunday early afternoon but was able to get seating! Tried the saganaki, sweet and sour cabbage soup, spinach pie and New York Chicken Wrap and shared it all. All was cooked to perfection! Highly recommended!

Went here with my grandfather. He's been coming here for a long time. This was my first. My food although looked very appealing, was awful. I ordered the country fried steak, cream of mushroom soup, and green beans. Everything was very bland. No seasoning on anything. The soup and green beans were very much canned... and tasted as such. The server seemed annoyed that she was working and rushed my party to order. Everything was delivered properly and she came back often to make sure things were OK. The atmosphere was a little off-putting. The first thing I noticed, it was definitely a place for the elder generations. I was the youngest customer in there by several decades and I'm in my 30s. I'll probably skip the next time I'm in town.

Good food, good service. The sauces and dressing were clearly home made. Unique food selections. I had fish fry (Cod), and thought it was a bit thinner than expected, but it was moist. Maybe not the strongest offering on the menu.

Worst experience of service. I went to the bathroom. I was paying for my friend and I . The waitress was hurrying up my friend to pay and my friend had mentioned that I was paying and I was in the bathroom. She then complained to her coworkers across the table from where we were sitting that she needed to leave because she had to take her husband to the doctors. Was speaking unprofessionally where my friend could hear her. It caused my friend a lot of anxiety. She didn’t tell me after we left because I would have said something. If I could give less than one I would.

Service was slow. I believe our waitress may have been in training. Didn't get menus for 5 minutes...weird. My 88 yr old Dad and I both had open face turkey sandwich. Very bland. Not alot of flavor. Too bad. Used to totally love this place, but I will try again soon.

The food is consistently good, and the staff is generally friendly hence the 4 stars. However, on our most recent visit was charged $3 to split a breakfast. Been going to Triangle for years and this was the first time we’d been charged. Why? The $3 really got us nothing more and is a real slap. I can personally tell you that $3 just bought a customer much less likely to visit Triangle in the future. I can’t see going back any time soon. Too many other choices nearby that offer comparable service and food that don’t charge the $3…

My son and his wife took me out for brunch here. It's one of their favorite restaurants. Although I have been here before, maybe a about a year ago. The food then was disgusting. So I had my reservations going around this time. The restaurant was absolutely packed full of people. It's a good thing that there was a wet rag on the table next to the one that the hostess brought us to, because that our table had food still on it so I gave it a quick wipe down. I had decided an ordered a Chicago skillet which has Italian beef sausage hash browns onions peppers and two eggs then it comes with a side of toast or pancakes. I asked if I could have the pancakes to be taken home that's clearly seeing the size of the skillet that came with far too much food for me to eat one session. The skillet was absolutely fantastic. It was packed full of hash browns and then this meat was just absolutely glorious and then covered with the eggs and the onions and peppers. I can't wait to go back again. It truly is a far better restaurant than it used to be.

Food is fair, needs some spices to flavor it. The waitress we had was very pleasant. The manager/owner told us they had hired her a couple weeks ago. She appeared to be a college student working in the summer.

A good local spot. Like most diners it's nothing too fancy, but the food tastes good and the servers are great. Support your local diner!

The staff is not too friendly. I had to wait a while for the waitress to take my order. The food was good. Had to remind them I get dessert with meal.

We come here often with family and friends and pass a lot of other restaurants to come here. Today was a very uneasy experience. A waitress and not even our waitress seems to have a fit about company policy. Created such a drama as this one family had walked it. I don't know the whole story, but it seems the waitress just was having a bad day and took it out on these people. Then the owner steps in, and she just seems like she is totally lost. I'm not sure if she should support her irate employee or the customer who is just trying to get a meal in peace. This whole thing could have been avoided and doughty with very simply and with a little courtesy, but that though just did not seem to come to with any one managing the restaurants. Don't need to see all this unnecessary drama will go across the street at Hill Top. Less drama, fast service.

We ate lunch for 4 here. It was my first time being there. It's a local favorite, and I can understand why....the food is excellent! Excellent family atmosphere.

I really like this place. Food is great and what you would expect from a diner. The portions are good size and you can tell it's quality food. Take a look at how thick the ham and sausage are! ❤️

I've eaten here since I was a kid. Not a lot since I moved to Wisconsin. Still was amazing. The waitress was hard to get her attention for like 10 minutes, or at least it felt that long. But overall, it's the same great place it's always been.

I absolutely love eating here! My favorite is the skirt steak sandwich and all their soups!! I'm mad at myself for not remembering my waitress's name because awesome! I've had many things here and all taste great! My only complaint is they close early, because I would surely come for dinner!

Perfect little breakfast place. Stopped in after my daughter's graduation and the staff was so sweet stopping by the table to congratulate her, they even covered her meal. Great hospitality! We will be back

This past January marked the 1st time in over 20 years since the last time I dined in this venue. Lived in Round Lake from May '89-Nov '02 which was when I was in & out of this place, stayed in Lake Bluff for a few months till I moved into a brand new house in Beach Park in April '03. I guess since living on the far NE side of the county, found myself eating at family restaurants much closer to home I suppose but the irony is that I attend a church in Grayslake a couple of Sundays a month for over the last 10 years. Took me this long to finally stop in on the way home one Sunday, sad. The food here has always been good and I love dining in at family breakfast restaurants. Good ol' traditional home cooking at reasonable prices in a local-owned dining space that's kept clean/sanitized, like I said good food bolstered by exceptional service. Told my wife that The Triangle is gonna be a go-to restaurant restaurant from now on when coming home from church or if we happen to be in the area. Always happy to support local!

My name on list but left standing while 4 other parties not on list seated before me. Noise was deafening. Hostess was rude. Using children to bus tables and check people out. Waitress couldn't remember anything. Food was hot (yay) but tasted burned and expensive for what you got. Never ever again.

The over easy eggs weren’t cooked long enough. The whites were runny. Everything else was really good. They never came back to fill our coffee cup either.

I ordered the bacon and avocado omelet. It was okay. The avocado was folded into the omelet and hot avocado is something Im just wanted a fan of. Pancakes were good. But what we really liked was the waitress. Her name might be Chris? So incredibly nice and personable, we just loved her.

This place has some of the best down home cooking in town. Even the oatmeal is melt-in-your-mouth good. The service is prompt and friendly and you get to see the chefs hard at work.

Had Robin as my server today! She was amazing, very attentive and courteous! Don't hesitate to ask for her section!! I had Jimmy's skillet, it was very good, compliments to the cooks!
