Food is all delish. The menu is very extensive (almost overwhelming), but love all the options!! Staff is always pleasant. It is a bit pricey though.

Today was my first day going to this place and upon arrival I was not greeted by either of the two girls behind the counter. After taking a minute to look around, I was ready to order and notified one of them for service. The friend went behind a wall to text on her phone and the other one helped SIX WALK-IN customers before me. We made eye contact about 5 times and I patiently waited as she wiped counters down, and then turned her back to me. I waited for about twenty minutes until her friend said “she needs help” as she pointed to me. Instead of friendly and eager, she rudely grabbed a bag and I calmly tried to find some patience within myself to get my order done. No words in our interactions just me telling her what I wanted, so awkward. I then asked for 1 lb. of chocolate covered strawberries ($20) and she looked at me weird. The sign was right between us largely written on the counter. Again, no words from her, just rude looks and the sound of plastic gloves. After all that, we make it to the counter, I ordered shy of under $50 of goods, and she asked me if I need a bag. She gave every other customer a bag before me?? So I signed the e receipt and before we finished the transaction, she quickly started another order for the group behind me on the second register and her friend got up to help them. She didn’t hand me a receipt, my bag, say thank you, goodbye, no nothing. Weirdest rudest interaction I’ve had that I couldn’t shake off. I walked to the door and opened the door for a customer walking in and she didn’t even say thank you. No smiles to be found. I thought it was a great day to be nice, I wished more people could reciprocate.

Wow...this place is nice. I just happened to find it in Grey's Lake IL. This little place is super nice. The coffee and morning glory muffin were awesome! The selection here was crazy. I really like when I can find a place like this. I lucked out today. Make sure you do not miss this place if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed. Update:. Went back for breakfast the next morning and the food was awesome to service was great coffee was out of this world. Could not ask for a better place to eat. Update: went back everyday multiple times in a day and I was not disappointed.

Loved this place! We were visiting family and stopped in two days in a row. The food is actually great and coffee was what I wanted. There are a ton of options. Only downside to our visit was that we weren't met with the friendliess help at the counter even after explaining we hadn't been there. We ended up apologizing because we felt like we were annoying. Great gifts options!

The pastries are amazing! Especially the muffins! Their coffee and food is really good as well. However the customer service is always awful. I would go so much more frequently if the employees could even just attempt to be kind or cordial in any way. It’s really pretty sad, because their business model and products are so appealing, but the way you are treated by every staff member I’ve encountered changes the atmosphere completely.

Chicken salad wrap is really bland , always need onions and mistard, and I get charged .75 just to add a few slivers of onion to my wrap. That and the lack of friendliness is just meh…. Wish it was better

All the menu options surrounding the walls was was way too overwhelming. For sure it's a place of quantity over quality.

Wonderful place with great selections of drinks! I will be coming back here and going to their other locations again. I would suggest trying out this location and getting some sweets while you’re here! Try out the iced mocha here for sure!

Your neighborhood coffee shop that has that Gilmore girl vibe without the fastpace chit chat nonsense. Good quality beverages and food. You can call ahead or order there. They are super busy so be prepared to wait in line a bit. Not too long to be troubling though.

Nice place good food, but the iced coffee drinks are always watered down and barely cold since they use hot coffee. Just not very good for over $5

You can tell that the owner takes pride in her establishment. They have a wide menu of hot and cold drinks, soups, salads, sandwiches, and breakfast and the baked goods - amazing!!! Everything I've tried has been delicious. The staff is friendly and efficient. The "shop" has an amazing array of fun treats and gift items to create a gift basket, stuff a stocking, or really fill any last minute gift-giving needs - they even sell cards!

A downtown Grayslake gem. The atmosphere is EXACTLY what you'd want in a neighborhood coffee shop, with both indoor and outdoor seating options, right on the main street of downtown Grayslake. The coffee is always solid, they always have the usual staples plus they rotate an interesting flavored variety if that's your thing. But the real treat is the baked goods - absolutely phenomenal variety of really yummy muffins, cakes, cookies, scones, etc. So good! I've also had breakfast here a few times and the food is always great to go along with friendly service. Support small, local businesses and think of Somethings Brewing next time you get that Starbucks craving - you won't be disappointed!

A very quiet little place to have a hot cup of Joe and read a book or catch up on emails. Very quiet during the weekday evening hours and the Menu items never disappoint including the tasty pastries they be dishing out on the daily.

Cute coffee shop with plenty of pastry and finger food options. They had cute products to buy through the store including locally roasted coffee. Then menu is a bit tough to read but they understand. It can get a bit crowded quite quickly but well worth the visit!

In beautiful downtown Grayslake, this cozy coffee shop is so much more. Great food, treats, edible gifts and cards are all available. Their outdoor eating area brings the community together and is especially comfortable when the weather cooperates. Try it out on a quiet Sunday morning. We also like to pick up orders to go.

We drove up from about 3 hours away to visit a veterinarian specialist and they pointed us to this place to kill some time. The coffee was great and the variety of options they had for snacks astounded me. I wish we had a bit more time so we could have tried some of their food off of the menu, everything looked great. We sat inside and enjoyed looking at all of the wall art while we chatted and enjoyed our coffee and snacks. Parking was easy enough downtown. There were spots on the next block over. I imagine it would get more difficult during a busier time. We were right on time getting back to the vet and we're glad to have stopped by the shop.

I absolutely love my experience at this coffee shop, and try to stop there each time I am in the area! The coffee is always fantastic, and I appreciate the daily specialty choices that add variety to their menu. The homemade bakery items are a delightful treat, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The staff is always friendly, and makes me feel right at home. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a top-notch coffee experience with excellent service!

  • 5/5 Sandy H. 11 months ago on Google
They used to have enough seating in the place, but now it has condensed down to just a few tables crammed behind a wall in the building but plenty of seating outside if the weather is nice. I understand why they changed the setup inside to accommodate all the people waiting in line for service and how it interrupted the patrons sitting inside. It's just very crammed. Food, coffee, and sweets are always excellent. Love coming here

Usually my coffee is pretty good here, but the girl who made it today made it absolutely perfect. Not too hot, not too sweet, not too bitter. I wish I knew her name so I could give her a specific shout out! I do remember that she had curly black hair, so give her some kudos!!!!

  • 5/5 Troy W. 1 year ago on Google
We got coffee and baked goods and were able to grab a table inside to enjoy them. The atmosphere is great, although it is very crowded inside. Not much for handicap accessible, due to the large area of product displays. Great way to burn off the morning dew or recharge your battery for more Grayslake shopping!

Ordered food to go, never even checked my bag, got home, and everything was there. That alone is worth the 5 stars. The food was amazing. Definitely will be returning.

  • 5/5 Josie R. 8 months ago on Google
Delicious and many offerings. Candy, and baked goods galore. The smell is something amazing and makes choosing one thing even harder than one can imagine. Tables outside to enjoy and have a chance to go back to the counter for a 2nd treat or spice blends to go. Truly a hidden gem !

The girlfriend and I enjoyed a Sunday morning here. We shared the Caesar wrap which was very good. The coffee was also good. We even bought flowers and a card here. Cool spot great food and service!

The food and coffee is great I love it but all the young girls working are all so rude to me every single time I come in. I say thank you and I get a “mhm” with an eye roll. Still gonna come back for the coffee lol but no longer tipping these miserable girls working.

  • 5/5 Ellen S. 8 months ago on Google
Loved the outdoor seating (despite all the traffic passing by) under shade trees and next to colorful flowers. Came at a busy lunchtime, and there was a long line for placing orders and some order confusion. Lots of interesting lunch options, including tasty vegetarian choices.

  • 3/5 Paul K. 6 months ago on Google
Great coffee and the chocolate lover's muffin was not bad. Service is meh, if you're ok with feeling like you're bothering them and aren't thanked for your patronage. A simple smile, "Hi, can I take your order?" and a "Thank you!" go a long way!

  • 5/5 Angel M. 6 months ago on Google
I love this spot. For what it is, the food is great. Maybe not ultimate top notch but very good for a little cafe. The staff is accommodating and sweet, and I like talking to them. Despite it being cramped I have been able to snag a seat every time, either inside or outside. The soups are delicious. I always get a lavender latte and it's very good. Always a nice time. I have never bought any of their candy or snacks but the selection is overwhelming, in a GOOD way. And it's just fun to look at. So many cool candies and treats. Thanks for being the highlight of my Sundays.

  • 2/5 Timothy N. 6 months ago on Google
They coin the phrase “that’s not on the menu “. I heard the gentleman behind the register say that to 3 of 5 people in line. Here’s a suggestion… when someone asks “do you have sugar packets?” … instead of saying “yes, we have them behind the counter “…. Hand them some sugars and MAYBE SMILE. Food was very good so 4 stars for the cook. Get your service with a nice experience in order.

Cozy shop in quaint and quiet downtown Grayslake. Great selection of home baked goodies and quite extensive food and drinks menu. My cappuccino was excellent. Offers outside seating.

  • 4/5 Bianca A. 3 years ago on Google
Good ambiance, good coffee and other hot & cold drinks, very nice staff, wide selections of muffins, baked goods, chocolates, flatbreads, sandwiches etc. They offer a lot of ready-to-go products too like coffee beans/grounds, loose-leaf teas, cookies, chocolate covered dried fruits, candies, snacks, croutons, baked breads and so much more. The location is prime -- like a favorite quaint corner cafe with cozy feels and a warm welcome. We sat outside enjoying the nice and relaxing fall breeze with a hot drink, and I also got myself a nice pumpkin cheese muffin. The muffin was good, soft and a little moist. Just wished there's more cream cheese and not just at the top. Probably a little pricey if you also bake and make your own coffee. But not too pricey for the convenience.

  • 3/5 Brittnie A. 3 years ago on Google
PROS: good food, coffee tastes great, girl in her 20’s was super polite and kind. CONS: woman behind the counter seemed irritated that we were there but was super nice to regulars, they say masks are required but a man who works there was only wearing a bandana where I could see his chin (so obviously not doing much to prevent spreading germs), and when I open up my coffee it is a little over halfway full... Super disappointing to get half a drink. I was quite excited to try this place out but honestly left feeling far from satisfied.

One of my favorite coffee shops. Best chai latte around. Good food as well. Convenience factor, not so great. But when I have time to actually stop and get coffee or whatever, this is my go to.
