Brilliant setting right on the beach. Spacious, pleasant surroundings. The view from the restaurant is stunning. And with that, my story ends. The food was mediocre. And rather skimpy servings. One feels a bit let down considering the restaurant is so far from the beaten track.

We were there 21 years ago and the place is still like it was then just as beautiful. Friendly staff and service is great. Delicious food. Family atmosphere. I would like to come to stay there again. I shall promote the place to others.

Had a lovely stay at the Haga Haga Hotel. The view of the ocean from our room was amazing! Even though it rained, we had a wonderful time there. Their meals were great - loved their breakfast. The staff were extremely friendly, from reception to the lovely ladies at the bar, the cleaning staff and the owner that checked a couple of times to hear whether everything is ok. We couldn't chose a better place to rest after a busy week (and watch the Springboks winning the rugby world cup ... again).

Stayed overnight - rooms looked straight on to ocean. Great swimming in tidal pool and beach. Very friendly nd accommodating staff. Food was good although menu could be updated. The Haga Haga area is lovely

Best food I have experienced compared to all the major hotels along the coast during the hotel hiking hop. Great rock pool. Friendly staff.. No free WiFi. Rooms have stunning views. ask about their sea food platter- best ever !

We visit this hotel restaurant every holiday regularly for the past 10 years. This year The food and service is not what it use to be....Burgers comes with about 5 chips in a small plate and the patty is so thin it looks like it was faxed from Johannesburg! Service over holidays needs to better...waiting periods at the bar just takes too long and very few waiters cleaning the venue .....lots of tables are full of dishes .. Very bad drain/toilet smell outside that spoils your appetite.

Haga haga is just such a beautiful town! The hotel offers great food with beautiful views. The outdoor seating area under the stretch tents looks oozes personality and comfort. Would love to stay over at some point. Loved it.

Only had drinks on the terrace outside after a long beach hike. Great location, friendly lady serving at the bar. Nice spot to relax with a drink. Did not stay at the hotel so cannot comment on the rooms etc. but looked maintained. Pool area looked nice too.

This hotel is a gem on the East Coast! Superb, friendly staff, good home cooked food. Delicious Saturday evening seafood. Cannot wait to return. Excellent value for money too.

The location is beautiful and some staff are very friendly. Loadshedding impacted the town a lot and this required us to come and do some work here - we were asked to pay for wifi (which I find quite shocking as it is already up and running and probably a set monthly fee for them). Would be different if they stated that only patrons who purchase a drink or a meal can connect to the wifi. The coffee and tea station was very dissapointing and not worth the amount being charged. The decor and overall look is a bit outdated and feels slightly dirty due to the run down. Food was good and not too overpriced. I do think there is room for improvement.

Can't comment on the rooms as we stayed in the very basic backpackers "Dog box" - we were hiking the Strandloper. But the restaurant was excellent and the service and food super. Perfect location.

Good and friendly staff, place is well maintained. Gravel roads to the destination small cars are able to drive easily but be careful if it’s raining or after the rains.

The last bit of the road to the hotel is gravel, but it is in excellent condition. We arrived and were greeted by Lyn and Portia upon arrival. Nothing could prepare us for the view we had from our room. It was windy the first day, but we were still able to walk on the beach and enjoy the scenery. The other days were beautiful, with sightings of whales and dolphins daily, and we even had a dip in the ocean. The hotel pool is also very enjoyable. The hotel has solar, so no loadshedding for us. Breakfast and 3 course dinner was included in our booking, and you get 50% discount on your 3rd night's stay. You can have lunch at the hotel, so no need to go anywhere. We came to relax and enjoy the sea view, and this is the ideal place for it. Thank you Neil, Sandy and staff for our wonderful experience. We could not have imagined any better. We will be back next year.

I am a sucker for fresh sea food. You guys get a 5 star just for that but I also enjoyed exploring the rocky coast. Just awesome

The staff of the establishment are well trained , served us with a smile. They were always available when needed. The environment is very attractive , a place where you can take your family for an outing. Hain was also very friendly to us. The hotel managed to ensure that load shedding did not spoil our objective of building the team . I enjoyed every moment of my stay.

Came for lunch. Limited menu but they stick to old favourites and done well. We had to order from the bar as there were no wait staff on duty at the time. Restaurant is literally metres back from the surf so views are spectacular and you can just sit and be mesmerised by the moods of the sea. Nice play area for kids who don't want to sit through the whole meal.

Service and food excellent especially after hike from the Hotel to Double Mouth and back...so relaxing to sit down on outside deck..enjoy the sea view with an ice-cold wine and scrumptious burger...so many walks to do around the area as well

Hayi mani the place will literally swallow you. Cleanliness, friendly staff, beautiful environment not to mention the meals were fresh and scrumptious. Thanks to the chef for an amazing meals. The dolphin watch from our hotel room was a bonus

Amazing stay at haga haga, their pub restaurant serves delicious food and their staff are very friendly and accomodating.

Loved our recent visit. Stunning scenery, well-appounted rooms and delicious food.

We just popped in for lunch and a drink, and loved the rib, calamari and chicken basket with chips - so tasy and tender. Great value for money - with incredible views.

Drove all the way from Morgan Bay to visit HagaHaga and enjoy lunch. Lady at reception said that lunch will only be served from 12:00. We decided to have a few drinks and wait for lunch, but nothing. Bar closed, no waiters, no service. We decided to go back to Morgan Bay hotel and spend our money here now.

Friendly people to deal with, staff are equally friendly and helpfull. Food is great. Rooms are wonderful. The great service compelled us to visit again. Will do so again.

Beautiful rooms and views. Staff were not very friendly. Buffet was average. The reason it gets a 3 star is that I felt very unsafe in the dining area/buffet area. None of the residents were asked to wear masks while dishing up food. No hand sanitizer before everyone touches all the dishing up spoons. We were all crowded in a small space. It was not at all what I would call covid safe!
